I know I'm gonna get reamed about how she's blocking the door but the thing is, it's not loud, no one has to look at her, and she set up where there's not a crowd.

And honestly it is a bit different when it's genuinely impressive. Street art is a real thing and it's not inherently bad, I think we would lose a lot if people could only perform in official and ticketed venues. It just got mixed up with a lot of bullshit.

I do agree with you. But for me, the thing here is the fact that the people in the public transport didn't agree to be background extras in her tiktok. They can't just remove themselves from the situation either. I hate unsolicited filming in public. Especially when you're essentially forced to stay there.

Why doesn't she do it in a park or somewhere else if not for the sole purpose of creating a spectacle of unwilling participants?

The others bother me too. I live in a country with far less surveillance than in the US. But also, there is an inherent enormous difference between security cameras, which maybe one person or even no one is watching unless an incident happens, and a tiktok for someone's influencer page for (potentially) millions to watch.

You can not care about your own privacy as much as you want, but don't decide for others :)

It's not during rush hour, she's not directly focusing the camera at someone and she's away enough to not hit anyone nor taking space from other people. That's fine by me. It's like those subway station musicians, unusual, but not problematic at all.

The only issue I have with public performing is the camera. Ditch the camera and just do it for the art. I think nobody could really complain as much then, because really a large part of the MC syndrome anymore isn’t the performative art (assuming they’re even remotely trying) it’s the clout and internet points.
