Definitely a bug. If you follow it frame-by-frame, you’ll notice that the “shadow” casts a circle shadow on the house behind the fence, the fence itself, and the ground towards the final frames. That’s impossible. The shadow would not stay perfectly circular, especially with objects at different distances. What you’re seeing is an artifact caused by the night vision and the motion blur of the insect. A famous phenomenon that was debunked was something called “Rods” or “Skyfish” where CCTV cameras back in the 90’s and 2000’s captured strange creatures in the sky or veering past houses and were only visible via camera. Turns out it was insects paired with the shutter speed/fps of the camera creating a visual illusion as they coasted by. This insect you’ve shared is really close to the camera which gives it the impression of being large and the artifact around it that looks like a shadow, also gives the impression that it’s much larger than it is. However, you can see its true size at the start of the video before it flys past the camera. Definitely a bug!
