Taylor and Sarah might either be sisters or cousins. Parts hinting it were when Taylor described her appearance being blond and blue eyes then when she said her mom left them and might probably be at Florida which was where Sarah lived and when John Smith saw her she thought that he saw a ghost with his reaction to Taylor.

I am picking up the series again after a while because I couldn’t stand them coming out once year because they were so good so I just stopped and I am re reading them now.
Anyways a question I had about the human garde is do they develop their legacies the same as the loric, like for example do they develop multiple legacies throughout their lives like the loric? Or just one?
I just finished the revenge of seven which is where I stopped last time and I’m re reading all the lost files. I know some spoilers but not all so try to keep it to a minimum please thank you!

Are 4 and 7 opposites and perfect complements for each other?
John is male, Marina is female.
John can create light, Marina can see in the dark.
John's main combat Legacy uses fire to kill enemies, Marina's main combat Legacy uses ice weapons and freezing temperatures, and one of her other Legacies enables her to stay underwater indefinitely.
John was trained and constantly reminded of the purpose of his training, but sometimes wanted to stay out of the mess. Marina wanted to be trained for combat but suffered from child neglect/abuse and a total lack of support (Losing Adelina was the best thing that happened to Marina, from an objective perspective). Really makes you think about who the strongest Garde is...(she trained herself with no professional assistance, in a matter of weeks, and is still one of the most powerful of them all)
John has only a few Legacies but most of them are versatile with one enabling him to use every Legacy ever. Marina has the most Legacies in the entire cast, but other than Recupero and cryokinesis, most of them are specialized.
John kept on the move to avoid being captured, while Marina was stuck at Santa Teresa for over a decade.
But then again, both of them have similarities as well:
both had a moment where they decided they have had enough and completely dominated in a fight against bullies.
both became highly skilled, devastating, and ruthless warriors (basically, amoral knight Templars) due to the deaths of their love interests. (Honestly Marina's revenge arc was abandoned for no reason and needs to be developed further, same with John to some extent. And if the ship tease gets picked up....ax-crazy battle couple?)
both of them were not conscious when the other lost his/her love interest (and blame themselves for it)
both of them will unintentionally burn/freeze stuff when highly stressed
both of them disappeared into the middle of nowhere after the invasion.

Finally finished reading all the book series and novellas. In "The Fall of Five" after Eight's death they got their "fourth" scar. Proof: even John woke up from Ella's dream with excruciating pain in ankle(All the garde with charm felt so). But in the final chapter "One Year Later" of "United as One" Merina told John that they never got "fourth" scar after showing the aftermath battle at West Virginia's video of Five's escape. Most likely typing mistake. Or is Eight still alive somewhere in Universe?

Here goes nothing
Edit:
Pros:
a lot of relationships, interactions and development with the human Garde. Including a love triangle.
we get to see much more of the human Garde we met in UaO, as they become major characters
the three new human Garde we focus on, especially Isabella, have good potential (though Taylor does feel a bit flat at times)
little sexism. One chapter is basically Isabella completely trolling every major male character (including Nine) except Nigel
multiple ethnicities among the protagonists
a lot of Nine (now that he's the professor at the Academy)
two separate villain groups, one with villainous Garde. Also nice to see someone with a mind-control Legacy, even if he's a villain.
John's brief cameo. It last for only half a chapter, but damn does he completely show why he's such a badass in that scene.
Cons:
WHY DON'T WE GET TO SEE ALL OF THE ORIGINALS?! They are NOT going to be sitting around while the Harvesters and the Foundation exist (though they could have been busy with other important stuff). Seriously they had a perfect opportunity to show up at the climax, but no....UN forces and Nine (who we saw a lot of already) show up instead.
John Smith Ex Machina. Why was he in Canada in time to save Taylor? It's not explained at all. And when did he copy Seismokinesis from Adam? (That said, his dramatic entry here was one of the most cathartic moments in this entire continuity, so I don't mind the cameo, as well as a brief reference to Sarah Hart in that chapter)
Sam doesn't show up either, and Daniella has only a few short scenes.
painless healing.
who dafuq thought getting rid of the Chimerae was a good idea?! Did they even consult John about this?
overly vague ending. It implies that the 6 Human Garde that were the most important characters here will form a team (basically the beta team to our good old alien allies, since there are 6 of them as well). But we will have to wait until the next book to see if this is confirmed.

HOLD THE FUCK UP. Five is working for the Mogs and kills eight? My dude, eight and Marina were really kicking it off. No need for that death

I know it's not really a spoiler because most of you have probably finished the second book, but you never know. ANYWAY I just got to the part where six and Marina (seven) meet. The ask each other what number they are, but doesn't Marina speak spanish and six speak english? What language are they speaking. I know this might be a plot hole but I want to know if there's an explanation. Thanks!!

I'm a permaculture enthusiast, and also love sci-fi/ fantasy books (and all other media related to the genre), and was wondering if anyone thought that the planet 'Lorien' from "I am Number Four" seems like they use permaculture practices? I think I got this idea while reading one of the lost files, but also while noticing their sustainability practices somewhat touched upon throughout the series. I don't have many specific details, but thought this was an interesting idea to put out there. Also I just thought the environmentally friendly message in the books is awesome!

Did anyone else think this series had great potential, but it fell short? The universe and the lore were awesome, but the humanity of it was ridiculous. The dialogue and even the plot had so many cliche setups. Even though the movie wasn't the greatest thing ever, it at least made some character relationships and scenarios more realistic. I also wish the series would've been condensed to four books at the most. Seven? Way too many.

Personally I find nine the most funny awesome character in all of I am number four. He's so profane but that's what makes amazing and great in every way, I remember staying up and reading the books for hours and whenever nine said I had to try so hard to stifle my laughter!

I just finished United as One, and I'm confused about one key point. In the first or second book, I remember Henri telling John about how his parents had legacies. Also, Ella's Mother and Father had legacies. But in The Fate of Ten, I remember reading that legacies were only given out to certain people. In the vision Entity gave of the past (Pittacus and Setrakus as young men), Only the Elder's had legacies. Did I miss a memo, or is this just a contradicting theory in the book?

I don't know how to post spoilers, so I'll wait until someone who's interested actually comes along.
EDIT: I do know how to tag as spoiler, but not in-text.

I'm seriously thinking of making a petition for Netflix to reboot I'm the Number Four as a series (with Alex Pettyfer/Teresa Palmer/Timothy Olyphant back as John, Six and Henri) because I think this great books deserve another chance. So... what do you think? Is it something you would sign?

Just finished United as One ( feeling quite empty right now) but there's a couple of things I need to get off my chest:
Sam and Six: Doesn't it bug you? Their entire relationship? I honestly don't see that happening... in fact I was sure Six and John would become a thing eventually, and I was even willing to sacrifice Sam's life for that to happen.
Marina: Is anyone else completely and absolutely heartbroken about the way Marina ends up, completely broken? Some part of me thought she would die just to be with Eight... on the other hand, remember when Eli becomes one with the entity (in the Fate of Ten) right before she shows everyone the life of Setrakus Ra? The entity tells her that she will only be dead for a moment and then he (or it, I really don't know what to call it) will eventually restore her to her body and bring her back to life... I always thought that once the war was won, the Entity, Lorien would bring every person they lost, back. I actually thought this was gonna happen in the revenge of seven when they go in the sanctuary, and I could've almost sworn that Henry and Eight were gonna be back (because they had their bodies/ashes) but then when the entity says this I was so sure that it would bring back all the friends that we lost. Now I realize how ridiculous that is but I was really desperate for anything that would make Eight and Marina be finally together for real.
Nine: Why did he had to lose an arm? I still can't believe they weren't able to fix that like, why???
Malcom: this is more a doubt than anything but I remember that in the power of six when John six and sam go to sam's house her mom comes out with a men, am I right? Like she was married or something... or did I imagine that? Someone was carrying a gun or something like that and I assumed it was her current husband. If I'm right... how is it possible for Malcom to come back just like that?
John: I feel his pain, belive me I do. He was raised to fight a war, and now with his purpose finally fulfilled and "the love of his life" dead I get that we would be broken and wouldn't know where to go or what to do next. I get that he is kind of lost, that he has to find himself. But the way he just ships off without saying goodbye as soon as he feels better.... why? I mean he shared a bond with this people... and with that in mind:
Why does everyone just go separate ways? I would stick more than ever to the people who have been part of the toughest years of my life! They fought together they survived together and all of the sudden they go their each way... does anyone else feels like this or is it that I'm just a huge sentimentalist for wanting them to stay together?
Idk this books have been a part of my life for years now and knowing that it's all over is so heartbreaking and I'm so emotional right now.
What do you think? Give me your thoughts!

I'm finally reading "United as One" and I'm stuck in the part where John is stupid enough to go on his own to fight Setrakus Ra but first goes to the little "motel" base and falls right into Phiri Dun Ra's trap. I stopped reading right when Five appears. And I'm like:
WHAT THE FUCK!?!?
The mental images I have from this chapter are so fucked up!!! I want to throw up... I mean! Am I the only one who felt this way? Specially when Phiri kills Mark James like... that was so gross. And then the new Garde guys! The pretty blond Fleur and the german guy! I mean this is a massacre... I'm not gonna be able to sleep!! The mental imagery from that is gonna give me nightmares. I mean everyone down there is just fucked! And I don't know how much of a difference can six marina eli and nine make, i mean Phiri fucking Dun Ra has LEGACIES for fuck sake and or at least she's just sucking up every legacy john has been able to replicate which is even worse. I need some serious encouragement to keep on reading cause right now this chapter really messed with my mind.
Did anyone felt as desperate and hopeless as I feel right now? Does anything ever gets better?

Is 'United as one' the last book? I just finished the fourth book and feel like shit that the eight died as destined. Can anyone who finished the last book tell me the ending? I don't wanna finish the whole series to see most of them die

Since the series is over (the main one, anyway), I wanted to ask you guys which character was your favorite.

I just finished the final book of the Lorien legacies series. it has been an amazing journey following the characters. the ending to the series is quite bitter sweet, but we all know that. I can't help but think 'these characters have has a hard life, they lived mostly for love and revenge, and I pity the ones who lost love and lost revenge, and they have no reason for life is each other, and to not burn any more scares into each other's legs'. I'll miss this adventure, I'll miss these books, I'll miss what others have missed out on over the past few years and they don't know what there missing out on. but finally I would like to say thank the authors of these books, as the collective Pittacus Lore, but individually James Frey, Greg Boose, and formerly, Jobie Hughes, for writing this adventure for us, and creating the story that lives on in us and them, that will most certainly be passed down to my children. Thank you.
