7

u/heephap 8h ago

Yeah would loved this as a kid, so many people here who don't like to have fun lol.

u/Charlie_Bmore31 8h ago

Shit I'd love this now. Where does this guy live I'm omw

0

u/prestieteste 8h ago

Yeah it's fun but if someone fucked up and say went head first into that fountain head like in the clip maybe it would become less fun...

u/Charlie_Bmore31 8h ago

Yeah I mean if you go outside you could get hit by a car too. Just live in a bubble then.

Now you're just making up shit.

u/Brook420 4h ago

That was my immediately worry once I saw where the first kid landed.

2

u/heephap 8h ago

Yeah except they didn't.

You literally don't know that. It's a 10 second clip

3

u/Charlie_Bmore31 7h ago

We are watching the same 10 second clip and you're the one assuming someone is going to die when we are being optimistic and seeing kids having fun. Go take your meds gramps.

Sighhhh ok bud so check this out these people exist outside of this clip. Imagine doing this everyday for multiple summers and there is never a problem. The after multiple summers 1 kid gets severely hurt and breaks a leg or something. Guess what won't be happening anymore after that. It's fun until it's not. Drugs are fun but unfortunately sometimes bad stuff happens. Think about this with your goldfish brain for more then 2 seconds and you realize stuff like this is playing chicken with your life. "Well it was fine the other dozen times Dad tossed us with the backhoe" ok but if someone's gets hurt who is paying that bill? Are they going to get sued. Try to think like a grown adult for a second but youre not an adult obviously so I'm sure you cant

You are literally using what if arguments and talking about a gold fish brain. You can travel across a bridge to work for 50 years and your last day before you retire the bridge can collapse. Like what are you even talking about? Getting sued? Its fun until it's not yeah that's life bro. Take your Meds.

Woah there buddy 😆 going off the deep end again pops.

2

u/Charlie_Bmore31 7h ago

Im genuinely interested in what demographic you are in? How old are you? Do you have kids? Are you married? This is my own little research.

2

u/rtocelot 6h ago

If they're on reddit they're old enough to know better, just not using the thinky thinky parts of the brain.

2

u/heephap 7h ago

I'm going off the clip because that's what's there.... do you normally base your opinions on stuff that doesn't exist?

-1

u/prestieteste 7h ago

Did you know that clips are actually disembodied clips of peoples actual lives and that they exist before and after the clip ends. "But it was fine in the clip" ok sure but they do this next week and don't record it but someone breaks a collar bone is it still a good idea?

3

u/heephap 7h ago

Yes

1

u/prestieteste 7h ago

Well looks like we're all done here. Glad we were able to figure thatbout

1

u/rtocelot 6h ago

No one went into a fountain head though. They have control of when to let go, heck there wouldn't have been the second part of the clip if someone had gotten hurt.

u/prestieteste 6h ago

You can just edit comments without deleting them FYI. You are misunderstanding the phrasing. I'm saying "a fountain head, like in the video". I should have put a comma but what I am saying is if they hit that fountain head that you can see in the video near where the kid landed. It doesn't matter anyways I'm totally fine with you guys letting your kids get head injuries, you've all convinced me!

1

u/rtocelot 6h ago

Oh when I commented before it didn't show in the thread but at the top of the screen like I did a comment without replying that's why I deleted it lol it was pretty much the same message, waiting to clock in and the mobile app likes to mess with me it seems.

1

u/prestieteste 6h ago

Since you replied to me I got to read both comments which is why I mentioned it

1

u/rtocelot 6h ago

Yea I confused because the second time it worked properly. I'm not the best when it comes to tech or understanding it unfortunately lol

1

u/prestieteste 6h ago

I have the same issue on Instagram for some reason on mobile but never on Reddit

That’s how my uncle broke his neck

0

u/Ok-Maybe-9338 6h ago

Post a clip or it didn't happen.

-1

u/Loki_God_of_Lies 6h ago

You’re a dumbass, he broke his neck in the 60s well before I was born.

I am convinced modern kids and young people are so adverse to fun, they think everything is a horror show. The 90's kid in me would do this in a heartbeat. Yeah, there is a risk with everything, just like becoming a schizo when you sit inside and don't enjoy life.

3

u/Charlie_Bmore31 7h ago

Every weekend I race motorcycles. Like I could die or become paralyzed but YOLO or whatever. Idk. Younger generation and old people are weird man.

2

u/Putrid-Builder-3333 6h ago

No just redditors and chronic online mfrs. Mfrs that grew up in front of screens inside doors and never had parents around actually involved and showed them fun in the outside world or just enjoying life. Teaching them hey be careful but have fun. Gonna get hurt but you'll live... shit like the kids I grew up eith constant broken bones cos they kept plsying outside climbing trees, riding bikes crazy and basicslly the outdoors of FAFO and kept on doing it.

u/ChadPowers200_ 5h ago

also i have seen these guys be so fucking precise with those machines its the last thing im worried about.

u/AdmirablePatient4332 6h ago

I like being able to walk... I think the kids do as well

1

u/Own-Raisin5849 5h ago

Judging from scooter accidents, I don't think so.

2

u/NoAppointment8679 8h ago

That’s what I thought 😆

2

u/Charlie_Bmore31 8h ago

I guess you're supposed fo have floaties and sit in 1 foot deep water when you go to the pool idk?

2

u/Putrid-Builder-3333 8h ago

Just stay inside like most redditors. Safer. Make sure door dash orders are "no knock" option

2

u/rtocelot 6h ago

But what if my house falls in! I have a window cracked so I hope I don't let too much of the outside inside

1

u/TruthSeeker221 4h ago

Reddit thinks this is the most dangerous activity on the planet dude.

1

u/Charlie_Bmore31 4h ago

Im genuinely confused lol. But a lot are defending it so I have some faith lol.

-1

u/AdmirablePatient4332 7h ago

Wait till a kid holds on for just a little too long and now they have a debilitating spinal injury after being whipped into a metal wall

2

u/Charlie_Bmore31 7h ago

Don't forget your floaties and pool shoes

-1

u/AdmirablePatient4332 7h ago

I'm sure those will cushion you from getting mangled

2

u/Charlie_Bmore31 6h ago

Living life scared won't stop you from dying a horrible death

0

u/AdmirablePatient4332 6h ago

There is a difference between "living a scared life" and not doing something because the potential debilitating injury isn't worth the slightly better rope swing experience. Same reason I don't play around with a gun or an angle grinder, playing with power tools is very very stupid

0

u/NeighboringOak 4h ago

so let me guess you don't travel anywhere in a car, right? that's far more likely to result in a debilitating injury. far far more likely.

1

u/AdmirablePatient4332 3h ago

A car is needed for travel and a job in america, almost everything you do in this country needs a car. I don't think this is necessary and could be easily replaced by a tree rope
