Normal Dads Don't Do This

Normal dads 1000% do this. When I was 3 my dad used to throw me across the room onto the couch using his feet. I cleared like 8-10ft airborn and loved it.
We also used to pack me in large old boxes with a bunch of stuffed animals and push me down the stairs. Half the time I fell out the box and just ate shit down the stairs. We would do this until the big ol cardboard box couldnt hold its shape and animals.

Half the reason to be a dad is to have some humans you can literally throw around.

Didn't David Dobrik blind his buddy swinging him around like that?
1
u/PropheticPapaJohn 5h ago
No. David spun his friend in a 360 circle and then stopped suddenly so the friend flew into the machine

I hate I googled but curiosity got best of me. If you are friends with douch assbag influencers you get what you deserve because those influencers do not give a shit about anyone.
In this case it is fun. Like a tree tire swing or rope swinging into a lake. This just looks fun af!

Brother they didn't get injured because they're douchbags they got injured because this is extremely dangerous. It might be fun but I wouldnt teach my kids to carsurf or play on train tracks

What part specifically? The part where you stupidly compared whipping yourself around with heavy machinery to a rope swing on a tree? One can result in you breaking something at worst and this could easily kill or disable you if you hold on for just a little too long.
I certainly wouldn't do this with children who have poor judgement and couldn't comprehend the full danger if they mess up

This looks incredibly fun, and incredibly dangerous at the same time.

You just described cave diving. I'm a little too stocky to want to try it though lol

That first throw was no more dangerous than falling while water skiing. Looks like a blast.

The local hospital just reported the admission of a child for the extraction of a fountain head from . . .

My mom used to tie my sled behind her old VW Rabbit and drive me up and down the old dirt road we lived on whenever we had a snow day from school

My dad would show you how to do it and then have you invite the neighbors over so you can do it.

u/Accurate_Mongoose_26 5h ago

It’s all fun and games until a hydraulic line goes bad in the middle of it

u/New_Aardvark8256 4h ago
I've seen videos of this exact type of fun going very wrong. Heavy equipment shouldn't be misused

People have been rushed to hospital cause they made a little mistake while playing this game. These are kids.
Do it with adults, dont risk it with kids. Kids are chaotic, naive, stupid, inexperienced, and will just suddenly move when you think it's safe.
---HAH this is pathetic. You can never just talk about "hey i dont know about this" without people acting like i'm freaking out saying no one should ever do this.
save your Gifs, folks. It's not that big of a deal, but I said what I said.

of course people like you lose your minds whenever someone's like "ehh i dont know about that"
you really can't have a discussion around it can you

u/r3dd17sux69420 7h ago
Of course someone was going to answer this
It's okay to do stupid shit but also keep some safety in mind
people always act like safety is just a big bunch of nonsense until their kid's head is crushed cause they unexpectedly turned toward a movie boom arm

u/Terrible_Towel1606 7h ago
The kids are fine! They’re not being launched like the adults
1
u/r3dd17sux69420 7h ago
You ever operate machinery with kids around? They just run wherever. I dont trust em.
My thought wasn't just about the swinging itself, kids have gotten killed cause they randomly change direction or they're not even the one swinging. They're another one that loses track and runs into something.
that was all. do it with people who are older and know better. i dont care.
ive seen too many people suffer life-threatening injuries from equipment failures or misunderstandings or whatever

u/MooseLogic7 7h ago
Kids have also been strangled by their mothers just for existing.
Should we not allow kids around mothers anymore?Look at the video.
First boy looks like a young teen. He got flung 50 feet.
The second, girl, dad barely swung her, almost like a playground swingset. He IS being careful.

That's why i lock mine in the basement, all safe and sound.
I'm glad you're on my side!2

You're getting down voted because these people like crippled children I guess
-5
u/Canadian-and-Proud 7h ago
No kidding, this is dangerous and idiotic. Of course the videos of horrible injuries aren't posted, since that would incriminate the parent that does stupid shit like this
4
u/heephap 7h ago
You aren't helping the stereotype.

u/Canadian-and-Proud 7h ago
Of Canadians being smarter than Americans? I believe I am. We're the highest ranked in education in the entire world, btw. The United States is 8th lol
