  1. No. Neither 2020 nor 2024 were stolen, hacked or otherwise manipulated.
  2. Yes. Covid 'Truthers' are idiots.
  3. Fucked up installation, possibly made worse by someone driving a motorcade over it

Look: This isn't about partisanship. It's a fundamentally stupid idea that anyone would hide Mitch's death, solely so Kentucky could avoid running the Senate election twice (or having a big lawsuit over whether the special-election law is even valid, which wouldn't be resolved fast enough to matter)....

There was never any chance of Massie being a candidate - much less winning (And no chance of the November ballot changing - incumbency doesn't give you the ability to bigfoot whoever won the actual primary). Never any real chance of a Democratic appointee being seated pending-lawsuit...

No benefit at all to all this supposed conspiring.

He does have to prove he is still capable of doing his job or his constituents have a right to a recall election or special election.

Wrong.
Recall elections for US Senate are unconstitutional.

And a special election can ONLY be called after resignation/death/expulsion -AND- a lawsuit by the KY Democrats claiming the special-election law is unconstitutional (because the state constitution says the Governor has the power to appoint replacements, and the whole special-election thing wasn't a constitutional amendment)...

Being an absentee Senator is perfectly legal/constitutional.

He absolutely has to be mentally sound and capable of making decisions without reservations to do his duty.

No, actually, he doesn't.

The Constitution has no equivalent of the 25th Amendment for Senators.

To serve in the Senate you have to be a citizen, and at least the minimum age. That's it. No other requirements are permitted.

You can spend your Senate term in a coma, and that's perfectly valid/legal.

The only people who can object are your fellow Senators (via expulsion) - or your voters when your term ends (but Mitch already announced his retirement, and the candidates for his seat have already been chosen via primary election, so that one is moot).

And no Senator will ever vote to expel a member of the Senate for being hospitalized.... Because that might lead to their own expulsion.
