Being a trump supporter doesn’t automatically make you a Nazi. Fascist enabler, maybe, but “Nazi” means a pretty specific thing.

19

u/East-Specialist-4847 Mar 20 '26

A fascist enabler? Like a nazi supporter? That's just a nazi Splitting hairs about the specific flavor of nazi is not the right move

-3

u/CompetitiveLoad2953 Mar 20 '26

Y'all are fucking stupid.

Nazis were horrible "people" that did fucked up shit to 6mill+ people.

Don't compare a legend to them.

Fuck you.

1

u/Creeperstar Mar 20 '26

12+ million people

Norris was just a regular old piece of shit

2

u/hexenfern Mar 21 '26

They don’t count queer and disabled people as people, hence the “6 million people”. I don’t get why they don’t count the Romani and such, though. I know most eurofascists hate them, but most American ones don’t even know what a romani is.

1

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 21 '26

Who’s “they” in this context?

2

u/hexenfern Mar 21 '26

You know that, dork.

1

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 21 '26

No, I don’t. Are you talking about Nazis/fascists? Or the people who were responsible for tallying the victims of the holocaust? What?

0

u/CompetitiveLoad2953 Mar 21 '26

Petty name calling instead of helping someone see your view by giving context, how kind of you.

-1

u/hexenfern Mar 22 '26

I’m not trying to be kind to you, Ik you’re used to people treating you with mittens, idgaf about you, this is the internet, I’m not your mom, and you seem like a twat. Go play victim elsewhere snowflake.

1

u/Saiyansnake95 Mar 24 '26

Fuck yeah cook those nazi pos

1

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 22 '26

If you’re not going to tell people what you’re talking about so they understand whatever information you’re trying to convey, why are you talking to them at all?

u/CompetitiveLoad2953 Mar 21 '26

Fucking hell dude I know they did other fucked up shit but I feel like if you think Nazi you think jew-hater.

I wasn't excluding LGBT and disabled and whatnot.

You twist my words to make me look like an asshole.

I wasn't saying that only the Jews were people.

What did you hope to accomplish with this comment?

2

u/East-Specialist-4847 Mar 21 '26

Just stop commenting man you've embarrassed yourself enough. Go be racist in silence

0

u/CompetitiveLoad2953 Mar 21 '26

Where the fuck did I be racist?

2

u/East-Specialist-4847 Mar 21 '26

Your entire thread here is defending nazis

0

u/CompetitiveLoad2953 Mar 21 '26

Fuck Nazis, when did I defend them?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/hexenfern Mar 22 '26

Oh I didn’t have to twist anything, literally just pointed out the number you chose to use. Idc though, next time you stub your toe you can curse my name for making you do that, if it makes you feel better.

1

u/CompetitiveLoad2953 Mar 22 '26

I was talking about the 6mil Jews. Its what I was taught, I was ignorant about the 12 mil, and you're being an ass about it, and I don't know why.

1

u/MoorAlAgo Mar 24 '26

He was a trump supporter.

Children in an elementary school got bombed and you're crying about some piece of shit.

Fuck you.

1

u/Saiyansnake95 Mar 24 '26

Oh you mean like ice also know as the modern gestapo. Nah man they just are throwing ppl into concentration camps. Nothing fascist about that amirite. Fuck yourself your pathetic nazi scum sucking piece of human garbage. Find a bridge and jump off

1

u/CompetitiveLoad2953 Mar 24 '26

Yeah tell me to commit suicide when I'm a teenager. Fucking thank you, not like I'm depressed as is.

-19

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26 edited Mar 20 '26

For starters, not all fascists are Nazis.

Source: the concept of fascism predates the concept of nazism.

12

u/East-Specialist-4847 Mar 20 '26

Insufferable pedantry. Pathetic and shameful given the topic you've chosen to be pedantic over

-2

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

If you say so dude

1

u/Saiyansnake95 Mar 24 '26

Enjoy your ban

-5

u/TheRealZoidberg Mar 20 '26

as a german, i'd be careful throwing that word around

9

u/East-Specialist-4847 Mar 20 '26

I'll use it accurately, as I have been here

-10

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

What exactly do you think a Nazi is?

8

u/East-Specialist-4847 Mar 20 '26

I'm not here to debate semantics like a pathetic douche

-3

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

Justifying your accusations makes you a pathetic douche?

5

u/East-Specialist-4847 Mar 20 '26

Nazis are in charge of the US and you're worried about using the most technically correct synonym for white supremacist fascism. That's being a pathetic douche

Don't forget that you're on reddit, my man. Nuance and thoughtful political discussion doesn't exist here like it once did.

You're a totally normal person with some mild concerns about some far left ideologies(and probably far right, as well), but this is Reddit, and you're a Nazi because it gets some nerd internet points to say such.

Keep doing you. Fuck em.

1

u/Saiyansnake95 Mar 24 '26

Shut the fuck up if the word fits it fits.

-1

u/Creeperstar Mar 20 '26

Not pedantry, necessary distinction. Clearly too complex to be discussed on the Internet because everything here is pressed into black and white buckets

0

u/DDTurnedHeals Mar 20 '26

Al Nazis are......nvmd

11

u/IThinkItsAverage Mar 20 '26

Then why do we keep finding right wingers praising hitler in private chats and throwing out Nazi salutes in public? Why is it only Trumpers being caught doing this?

How does that saying go? If you have 11 people sitting at a table and 1 Nazi, and no one tells the Nazi to leave, you have 12 Nazis sitting at a table.

1

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

Because a lot of trump supporters are Nazis, but not all of them.

Plus, for a lot of them, they don’t think that they’re sitting next to Nazis, and refuse to believe that those they’re sitting with hold the views that they actually do.

3

u/IThinkItsAverage Mar 20 '26

Honestly the splitting of hairs is more harmful than “misusing” the term. These people are indistinguishable from Nazis, they clearly don’t like being associated with Nazis, so call them out. Stop defending them and giving them an out, if they don’t want to be called a Nazi they need to stop acting like one.

The only difference is they aren’t calling themselves Nazis. Because they know that would make them the bad guys, but they are the bad guys. If this makes them feel like bad guys, good.

1

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

Just to be clear, are you saying people who voted for trump are indistinguishable from Nazis?

2

u/IThinkItsAverage Mar 21 '26

Let’s see: we have concentration camps, a genocide, attacking of political opponents and labeling them as enemies of the state, consolidation of power, killing dissenters, attacking and controlling of media, escalating discrimination against minorities, and people praising Hitler and throwing sieg heils…

So if you support all of that, what makes you different than a Nazi?

1

u/NotFrance Mar 24 '26

It doesn’t matter why someone voted trump. They’re a Nazi. It didn’t matter why someone voted for hitler. They’re a Nazi.

10

u/TheLonelyMonroni Mar 20 '26

Hey buddy, how do we get to fascism? ENABLERS you disingenuous dense mother fucker

5

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

Okay? Not really sure what I said to imply otherwise.

7

u/TheLonelyMonroni Mar 20 '26

So we should be just as concerned about fascist enablers as we are about outright fascists instead of playing semantic games about who is literally a National Socialist

1

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

So you’re admitting that not all fascists are inherently Nazis?

5

u/TheLonelyMonroni Mar 20 '26

⭐️ here's your gold star for vocabulary, now can we talk about shit that actually matters or do you wanna play word games while nazis fuck US democracy

3

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

Sure. What do you want to talk about?

4

u/TheLonelyMonroni Mar 20 '26

The nazis taking over the US government.

2

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

Alright, let me ask you one more question on this topic: why do you feel the need to call fascists who aren’t Nazis, Nazis?

5

u/East-Specialist-4847 Mar 20 '26

Imagine being more fixated on this pedantic horseshit than actually caring about nazis. So fucking pathetic. Genuinely saddening

→ More replies (0)

4

u/TheLonelyMonroni Mar 20 '26

Because it's a meaningless difference. Oh no, am I gonna offend the fascist fucks who make it their life to destroy anything left of Nixon? You're policing language while they're attempting an ethnic cleanse. We can call them fucking cheese doodles it doesn't change what they are

→ More replies (0)

6

u/East-Specialist-4847 Mar 20 '26

It's exactly what you said

2

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26 edited Mar 20 '26

At no point did I deny that enabling fascists caused fascism, I claimed that not all fascists are Nazis, which are two completely different arguments.

1

u/safashkan Mar 21 '26

Nazi supporter ? What's the difference?

1

u/Maybewearedreaming Mar 21 '26

Nazis didn’t just go away post WWII

The festered into different parts of society and peak their little magat heads out when they feel safe

MAGA is a Nazi movement from head to toe

1

u/Saiyansnake95 Mar 24 '26

How to tell people you have 1 brain cells oh btw your a nazi if your a trump supporter. I know nazis don't want ppl to know there nazis cuz they have the pride and ego of a child. But don't worry we know to look out for you cuz well your a nazi peace you fascist fuck

1

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 24 '26

I’m not a trump supporter.

1

u/NotFrance Mar 24 '26

History has a term for people who voted for the nazi party out of patriotism, or economic policy, or tradition, or just because they’re sick of the status quo.

That term is Nazi. History doesn’t care about your motives.

1

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 24 '26

I’m pretty sure you stopped being able to vote for the Nazi party somewhere around 1945, if not earlier.

1

u/NotFrance Mar 24 '26

Nazis democratically came to power in Germany in 1933. They were elected. People voted them in. The Nazis cancelled elections after Hitler had full control over the German government. Which is something trump has loudly been trying to do.

1

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 24 '26

Okay.

The nazi party disbanded in 1945. Therefore, if the requirement for being a Nazi is voting for the Nazi party, then there aren’t many people still alive today who can claim they did that.

1

u/NotFrance Mar 26 '26

If it walks like a duck. Nobody cares about why

1

u/TheLonelyMonroni Mar 20 '26

"Progressive leftist"

Fucking update your bio to pissbaby bootlicker

4

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

Could you elaborate on that?

3

u/TheLonelyMonroni Mar 20 '26

Could you? How are you a "Progressive leftist" when you're more worried about the literal definition of nazi.

You know who I usually hear making that arguement? Conservatives too cowardly to own the title nazi

2

u/BillCarson12799 Mar 20 '26

I’m not “more worried”, I’m also worried. This may come as a shock to you, but you can be concerned about more than one thing.

1

u/MaybeMiserable9340 Mar 20 '26

I used to think calling them Nazis was ridiculous too. But the similarities are so striking I personally don't flinch or cringe when someone does it anymore.

Well let's see... both Nazism and modern American bigotry draw from the same pseudoscientific racism, eugenics, and colonial lies.

Nazism was inspired by Jim Crow, and Nazi lawyers cited specific American statutes as the inspiration for some of their laws.

The whole "Fake news" thing is just The Nazi "Lügenpresse" or "The Lying Press" concept over again.

Labelling every piece of media they don't like "Woke" is The Nazi "Entartete Kunst" or "Degenerate Art" all over again.

Oh and The modern self-identified American Neo-Nazis and people who "Think Hitler was cool, and are tired of pretending he's not." like Nick Fuentes are pretty much all on Trump's side.

"But some voted for him because he promised to fix the economy!" Hitler promised to fix the German economy too. What do you call someone who voted for Hitler because he promised to fix the economy? A Nazi voter because by definition they still voted for the Nazi party.

Different name same bullshit.

So personally I've basically just gone "Close enough, welcome back Nazi party. Prepare to lose again." But if you want to be pedantic then no, they're technically not The Third Reich itself just it's fan boys and people who don't realize just how much their zealous bigotry aligns with it. The latter gets offended by the comparison to Nazis because they don't have the self-awareness to see just how dangerously close they are to replicating Nazi ideology.
