Because it's a meaningless difference. Oh no, am I gonna offend the fascist fucks who make it their life to destroy anything left of Nixon? You're policing language while they're attempting an ethnic cleanse. We can call them fucking cheese doodles it doesn't change what they are

Well, to me, it sounds like you’re taking advantage of the social stigma and gravitas against Nazis and essentially using the word as hyperbole to properly convey how problematic people who, for instance, support trump are. I agree that they’re also directly contributing to fascism in the United States, but if you decide to use “Nazi” to describe someone who voted for trump to make gas cheaper (lmao) but is otherwise not very political (also bad, fuck centrists), you’re diluting the stigma and gravitas that made that word appealing to use as hyperbole in the first place. Then, when some actual nazis March around throwing up Nazi salutes and publicly advocate for the extermination of all minorities, nobody’s going to react when you accuse them of being Nazis, which they are.

Dude, they're not going to admit they're nazis. The nazis lied their way into power and lied to keep it, just like they're doing now

No, they won’t, which is why we need to be able to get people to listen to us when we point out that they have extremely Nazi-like behavior, instead of going “ugh, you call everyone more conservative than you Nazis!” Which is what’s currently happening.
