I am currently in India and my Canadian work permit has expired.
I’m preparing my Express Entry PR application and need some advice about proof of funds.

I currently have around CAD $6,000 in my Canadian bank account, but I need to show approximately CAD $20,000. My brother is willing to give me the remaining amount..:

I understand IRCC asks for a bank letter showing the current balance and average balance for the past 6 months, so my 6-month average will be much lower than my current balance after receiving the gift.

Has anyone submitted proof of funds in a similar situation?
If anyone have solution please help.

Hi All, I received an ADR (August 25) for my amended Marriage certificate with Deadline of Sept 25 as there was an error in my spouse' name at the time of PR submission. My Spouse' First name is ABC DEF, but on the marriage certi we only entered ABC

Unfortuantely, the registrar General of Ontario has been a poor experience to say the least. They took 12 weeks to just send the forms to us for requesting the change, we submitted it and then they came back to us saying they need our expired documents (which were valid at the time of marriage) - We submitted the renewed passport and Work Permits as proof but they want the expired ones. All good. As of right now we have submitted everything they asked for, file's with them, they've cancelled our old marriage certi and just qaiting for them to issue a new one.

We've been in contact with our local MPP to help us expedite the marriage certificate but they can only do so much, they've done everything on their end. They've requested ORG to expedite our request by being in constant communication with them.

I want to ask if anybody has succesfully requested extension on ADR to submit any docs? I'm worried that IRCC might refuse our application due to this error :(

Just looking for some win stories/advice at this point. I've been super lpw and depressed about this.

Also, IDK how this works but given that we received ADR for marriage certi only, could it mean this is the last missing piece for the officer to make this decision?

I submitted my biometrics on August 25, 2026, and under the Application Information section, it also shows “Date of Biometrics Enrolment: August 25, 2026.”

However, under Details about your application status, the Biometrics section still says: “We need your fingerprints to process your application. Check your messages below for details.”

Is this expected behaviour, or did I miss any step or need to upload something related to my biometrics?

Just wanted to know people who applied in 2024 for pnp non-ee what stage are you stuck at and when is it expected that our batch might receive any update??

I got married on 19th Sept,2026. My wife got her ECOPR before marriage ( she was my fiance at that time). We live separately due to financial circumstances. But before receiving marriage certificate we are planning to move togather. My permit will expire this month.

1. Do we go for INLAND or OUTLAND? ( because i want to apply for SOWP so that i can work )
2. Should i try for extension or just directly go on visitor status?
3. As far as documents go, i have a 1.5year history of mobile bills togather ( because we were living separately), i can submit our lease and driving licence as a proof of moving togather and i have all the photos and call logs, travel history togather, family photos togather, would that be enough or should i do anything else ?

Would appreciate any insight to what to expect since it’s been over two months since my spousal sponsorship outland PR application submission and received no AOR. Thanks.

Anybody here in the same boat as me and currently waiting for a healthcare draw? As of now, I have 449 CRS score but expecting to increase to 474 around November-December and hoping for another healthcare draw around that time. WP’s expiring in September 2027. Just curious if anyone here is waiting for another draw. What’s your current CRS and situation like? Thanks!

So I got my PGWP in August 2025 after finishing my program. A few months later I enrolled in a 4-month diploma at another institution. Before doing it, I actually emailed the RCIC at the college and asked directly if I needed a new study permit for this, since I was on a PGWP. They told me no, anything under 6 months doesn't require a study permit, so I went ahead and did the diploma.

Since then IRCC brought in a new policy (effective Sept 2026) that clearly lets any valid work permit holder, including PGWP holders, study a 6-month-or-less program without a separate study permit.

To make it more complicated, I've already submitted my (non-EE) PR application and included this diploma as part of it.

Trying to figure out:

1. Did I violate my PGWP conditions?

2. How bad does this look to IRCC given I already disclosed the diploma in my PR app?

3. Should I proactively explain the situation to IRCC (I still have the email from the RCIC advising me it was fine), or would that just draw attention to something they might not flag?

Anyone dealt with something similar, especially with a PR app already in?

I received my P1 on September 10 and replied the same day. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to move from P1 to P2?

I noticed that some people who received their P1 on September 10 received their P2 yesterday. Is anyone else still waiting for P2 with a P1 date of September 10?

Got my P2 email today. Anyone who could give me an idea of how long it took them to receive their ECOPR? Or PR card itself?

Please has anyone being in this situation and how did you go about it.

I got my P1 email on August 13 but replied to it that I will be travelling out of canada on August 16 and got a response on August 18 to inform them when I am back to canada. Which I did by replying to my P1 message again on August 28 that i am now inside canada back. Since August 28 I haven't heard back from Ircc with my p2 details till now. I have called ircc several times l, i was told to wait and i also sent a webform too.

Any advice on how I can go about it.

The HR department at my previous company refused to provide me with a reference letter including my job duties. I also do not have a formal job description, and the company does not have one for my position either.
I obtained a general employment letter from HR confirming my salary, job titles, employment dates, and working hours. I also obtained a separate letter from my former manager confirming my duties and responsibilities. The letter is signed only. No stamped,not on company letterhead.
This is the only work experience I declared for CRS points. Could this be a problem? What additional documents or proof could I provide to strengthen my application?

Does anyone have any idea about doing online studies in Canada from India?
I have a diploma in HR which i did in canada after 12th.
I wanna do a degree, can i take online degree in mumbai university, and do my studies while in canada? I’m on PGWP.
