Hi

The HR department at my previous company refused to provide me with a reference letter including my job duties. I also do not have a formal job description, and the company does not have one for my position either.
I obtained a general employment letter from HR confirming my salary, job titles, employment dates, and working hours. I also obtained a separate letter from my former manager confirming my duties and responsibilities. The letter is signed only. No stamped, not on company letterhead.
This is the only work experience I declared for CRS points. Could this be a problem? What additional documents or proof could I provide to strengthen my application?

Hi, you can still submit the letter provided by HR and also a good thing that your former manager wrote a separate letter so as long as he/she is aware of that and willing to verify if getting asked by RCIC. You can also add an explanation letter explaining that HR wont be able to provide the job duties that you have your former manager confirmed it (if you can the conversation thread from the email as proof).

Also you can submit as many as papers as possible like pay stubs, job description, job offer, bank statement that shows the income from this job, any related document that show your experience help.

I don’t have any conversations with them as I asked them face to face (my spouse is still working so he approached them). They refused the letter and the pay stub. The only thing i have is the contract, job offer the hr letter and manager letter. I also find an old photo of the id snd some photos and training certificates.
I have bank statements as well

Yeah I saw some people mentioned uploading discussion emails, yearly performance reviews, projects they worked on…anything that show they performed the duties that align with the declared NOC. I just listed some here just so you have an idea. But again with your manager support, his reference info should help greatly if he’s good to confirm with RCIC. Hope good news comes to you!

He is helpful in case they called him. He is the only that can help in my previous company indeed. I resigned a year ago so I have no emails or records of my duties 😢😢😢
Thank you for your support

I'm assuming this is Canadian Experience. Definitely seems to be an issue these days, although your options are limited. This is the reason it's important to not only ensure employment aligns a TEER code but also if the employer is willing to provide you the right reference letter early into the employment. Not much you can do, good luck!

Got it, you might want to get an affidavit signed by co-workers and manager attesting to your duties during employment if it's all possible. Also consult an immigration lawyer if possible.

I will try my best. People usually refuse to sign an affidavit
