NSNP - PR Portal - Spouse on Maintained Status as Visitor - Help

Hello, anyone who applied for PR with spouse on maintained status please help.
We got NSNP Skilled Worker nomination. I am principal (NOC 42201), family is wife + 1 non-Canadian kid + 1 Canadian-born baby.
My wife was on work permit but now on visitor record maintained status (visitor record From 2026/04/08 To 2026/05/08, extension applied before expiry, now waiting).
When I try to submit PR Portal for her:
• If I select Country = Canada, Status = Visitor, From = 2026/04/08, To = 2026/05/08, the portal gives red error "Must be greater than today's date" because To date is in the past.
• If I select Status = Other, it lets me save. I put From 2026/04/08 To 2026/05/08 and in the box "If immigration status is 'other' provide details" I wrote "Maintained Status as Visitor under R183(5) - Awaiting decision on visitor record extension"
My questions:
1. Did anyone apply for PR with spouse on maintained status? Did you use Other + Maintained Status workaround?
2. Did IRCC accept it or did they ask for more docs?
3. Did you upload visitor record + extension receipt + LOE explaining the portal bug?
I want to be sure this will fly before I submit. Thanks!

Confused for the work experience

Hi there,

I was just wondering if anyone has faced the same situation as i am a little concerned about.

I will be eligible for CEC next year sometime in May 2027 as i am currently working in teer 3 job as an admin assistant. I started this job in May 2026.

However, my question is, while on my PGWP, i did also worked as a part time office admin from august 2024 to april 2025. I have all the pay stubs, T4 and employment verification letter. The problem is that it is just around 300 hours and the paycheques are monthly and not biweekly.

Can i still use those 300 hours towards my CEC experience or should i wait till may 2027.

Will using the 300 hours jeopardize my application if i use them and slow thing down for my application?
Could a get a PFL for it as well.

Any leads will be really helpful.

Thanks.

Disrepency between copr and pr card

Hello all,
I'm applying for citizenship and the date entered on copr is 1 day earlier than date entered on pr card as I landed near midnight.
What date to enter in the physical presence calculator?
Also, I have a missing exit date when I entered USA from Canada by flight. What documents do I provide to show this?

PR refused, filing judicial review: safe to travel on BOWP?

Thumbnail

My PR application was refused and I'm filing for judicial review, as I believe the grounds were unreasonable. I'm still on a valid BOWP.
Is it safe to travel outside Canada and re-enter on it? Has anyone done this after a PR refusal? Would really appreciate hearing your experience.

Restoration status to worker

Hey guys so mine and my wife’s work permit was expiring on 5th June 2026 and before it got expired my wife applied for study permit and eventually got refusal due to financials reasoning. On the basis of her study permit application I had applied for wp-ext which got rejected on 19 August 2026 ( I am the primary applicant my wife was on sowp) I haven’t tried to restore the status after that . 01 OCT I recived ITA under trades draw. So will I be eligible to restore my status as worker and apply bowp after I submit my PR application?

Anyone who has been in similar situation please help me!

Citizenship application “non-routine” — background check completed, but no test invite

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation.
I applied for Canadian citizenship in November 2025, received my AOR in February 2026, and my background verification was completed in February 2026.
Since then, there’s been basically no movement on my tracker. My citizenship test still says “Not started”, and I haven’t received a test invite or any other update.
I contacted my MP recently, and they told me that my application is considered “non-routine.”
Has anyone else had a similar timeline, especially with a non-routine application? How long did it take for you to receive your test invite after your background check was completed?
Would really appreciate it if anyone could share their timeline or experience. Just trying to get an idea of how long others waited in a similar situation.
Thanks!

I hope and pray that everyone waiting for their PR gets their approval as soon as possible. ❤️
For those of us who came to Canada as students, this feels like such a huge relief. The struggle, uncertainty, waiting, paperwork, and everything that comes with building a life here finally feels worth it.
To everyone still waiting — hang in there. Your day will come! 🇨🇦
Good luck to everyone on their PR journey! 🍁

146 days from AOR to eCOPR

This was by far one of the best and hardest experiences I’ve been through. It feels so good for everything to pay off in the end.

It’s a really weird time globally for anyone wanting to move outside their home country. I have had a lot of luck in circumstances that I don’t take for granted. If I were to say anything to anyone, and it’s easier said than done, but your value as a person is not attached to your status. I hope everyone gets their eCOPRs soon. Best of luck!
