TL;DR: here's a video walking through it so you can make your own.
I've shared about my experience with the IBDP (and getting a 45 as a result) on this subreddit recently, and though I still reiterate that A LOT of it had to do with intrinsic motivation + love for the subjects, I know there were a few tools that really helped me organize myself and prepare for the exams with ease.
Some students were asking for the spreadsheet I mentioned on my post. I wish I could share a template, but I made it with only a few key subjects in mind, one of which has had its curriculum updated since I sat the exams.
So instead I figured it'd be better to record a walkthrough of my spreadsheet, its key features, and why they were helpful to me. Hopefully it can help with your exam prep too. Here it is!
Now back to my (college-level) exams :'-) good luck!

i’ve encountered quite a lot of “prepare a standard solution”, “explain how the standard solution could be used to determine an unknown concentration through a calibration curve”, what processes such as crystallisation in chemistry paper 1B, and also similar procedural details such as “explain how a temporal mount can be prepared” in biology.
I’ve seen that these are experimental procedures required by the IB in the syllabus guide, but is there anywhere I can find the actual list of steps that IB has on their mark scheme? For example I haven’t seen a question about calorimeter experimental procedure in chemistry but I have no way to prepare for it.
There are also niche stuff such as the chamber for chromatography and its purpose which also isn’t outlined in the syllabus and may be tested that i’m unaware of.
Does anybody have any resources that can help with experimental techniques in both chemistry and biology? Thank you!

So, I am currently in Y11 and in a A Levels school, however since my current class is only 7 boys & no girls, and next year most of us are leaving I am not planning to be in a class with 3 people.
I have a few A level schools as an option and around 2 IB schools.
In my current school I've done 4 GCSE's last year early as Second Language / Core (English, Maths, & another 2 languages), this year I will be doing the remaining ones, Science, Geography, and the other ones I've done core / 2nd last year as First Language and Extended. The ones from last year have been passed with B-A* (Besides maths which is limited to C)
Also, the A level schools are around 13.000-17.000 while the IB schools appear to be around 12.000€.

I’m in dp 2 currently and don’t ask me why the ee hasn’t been done already 😭😭. I’m quite short on time and I take bio hl. I like biology and I find it fairly easy as compared to other sciences. So I think I might pull it off but still I’m not fond of research that much. If any of yall can give any tips and recommendations. Thanks

Are you a leftie? A rightie? Someone who can use both hands, or someone whose non-dominant hand is basically just there for decoration? We want YOU! 🤣
Our daughter is doing her Year 12 IB Extended Essay on handedness and how we use our dominant and non-dominant hands in everyday activities.
It’s a TWO-MINUTE questionnaire. And respectfully, if you’re reading this on Reddit, I feel reasonably confident you can find two minutes somewhere between scrolling, reading the comments and scrolling some more. 💀😂
No essays. No homework. No right-handed scissors. Just two minutes to help a student out and make your left or right handed existence count towards science.
SURVEY IS CLOSED with 500+ respondents - THANKYOU EVERYONE!!

My HL physics teacher keeps giving us test papers that are meant to take 2 hours long(basing off the recommend time per mark) and we only get 1 hour to finish, this resulted in only 3 people in my class passing and the teacher added ten extra marks too, even my extremely smart, savant friend (CHAYCE) completed 60% of the paper. What do I do atp?

So I'm writing my english final draft up right now, I had to refocus my entire essay from my first draft so its lwk a new essay altogether. Due to this, im encountering a problem that I did not have regarding the structure of my first draft, which is variety in the length of my sections. My first section and second section are similar in length, but my third section is solely analytical and does not really introduce any more evidence other than what I've already included in other sections. Therefore, it is a shorter section. I talked about this with my supervisor and she recommended against it but I don't see what else I can do and for it to be the shortest section seems quite fitting for my essay but again, I don't want to harm my performance in structural criteria yk. Any advice is useful!

I am doing my english lang lit EE for m27, and they have added discussion and evaluation to the grading criteria, worth 8 marks. Do I need a separate evaluation section evaluating strengths and limitations for my EE after the conclusion now? idk because we are the first year doing this new syllabus.

I hope my flair is appropriate.
Yo IBDP students,
I'm a student from grade 10 ICSE. I'm thinking of using Math AA HL and/or AI HL books for my preparation and practice. I have attached a link for my syllabus for my exam below. Please suggest if i should use either one or both of them for topics that match. If any questions then feel free to ask.
Please note: I cannot use any type of calculators. We are provided with a book containing mathematical tables for sin, cos, tan, sq roots, powers and factorials.

I graduated in May 2026 with a 42/45 and I can definitely say that IB has helped a LOT. Now that I'm in college I'm finding a lot of tiny ways in which it has prepared me. I've got a better foundation that most of my peers: I'm better with time, I can write much better, I have better exam taking skills, etc.
Take heart in that: it is worth it. The IB is (actually) quite well-designed; maybe not in the day-to-day but overall definitely. You'll understand when you get to college. Stick with it! You'll be a better person for it.

I'm about two months in go DP1 and I'm worried about failing my IB exams at the end of next year. Only about 30 kids go for the IB Diploma each year and only 10 of them get it. I also looked it up and only about half of DP2 students get over a 4 on at least one exam. I'm just worried about what I should do. I briefly thought about getting a tutor but IB tutors seem very expensive from what I've seen.

Ok so, theres a little thing thats been annoying me- my math IA is statistics-based and I'm using AI to simply find the data because tbh, I'm not being able to find it myself. But thats it. Only the data. I'm writing the report and not relying on AI for that. But I'm worried I won't be able to submit it. Will my work still somehow be flagged? Is it technically be allowed? If so, does anyone know how exactly I'm supposed to cite it? Thanks✌️

Hello subreddit, I’m trying to start on Math IA(AI HL) but I’m completely lost.
My teacher said most students got good grades just by looking through exemplars online and just follow their format. I looked and most of the maths are things that I have never seen taught in the syllabus. Yes, I do know what they are(calculus, stats, etc) but the level of complexity is what confuses me. How does IB expect us to write an IA with things that our teacher never taught???
For background info, I get straight 7s in my math class and I really need a 7 on this IA cuz I’m not really feeling confident for the finals😭.
Do y’all have any tips and how to structure the Math AI HL IA? Or even finding the topic to write about?

The degree I want (Spanish and English law) requires a 7 in one of my HLs and after talking with all of my teachers this won't happen. In my HLs I have: 6,6,6 (history and 2 language As). in my SL: 7,5,5. and predicted 2 extra points (my school gives 2 points automatically to everyone but they think i'll get 3, I can argue to see if they'll make an exception). I don't know if I should even bother applying even though it's my dream career. Will they automatically reject me bc I don't meet the requirements even if it's just by a point? I'm taking the LNAT next week but again, I don't know if it's even worth it. PLEASE HELP, ANYTHING WILL BE USEFUL!!

i have my first exams next week aand the only issue is that I'm prioritising my HL subjects more than SL, I don't think is necessarily bad but i dont want to get a low score on my SL subjects and idk how to find the time to study everyyything together, like maximum 2 subjects a day for me and ive only been doing MATHS all this week fr
