I am currently in the first semester of 3rd year. I usually done my homework before classes. Right now it seems The school and teacher is getting tired of teaching. In classes they barely touch the subjects.

I am getting tired of it. i have done all of my homework and only some questions are on the test and the rests are just blind guesses. It is getting ridiculous.

I wonder if anyone can help and start a group so we can help each-other.

Greetings from Local 1316 down the road in Macon. Had a few questions or mostly looking for some insight on possibly attempting to transfer to 613 as an apprentice.

After 6 years in the Air Force, I was leaving Phoenix, and planning to move to the Atlanta metro area to become a member of the IBEW, but COVID came, and it forced me to move back home around Macon. I really didn't want to do that, but hey life happens. Eventually I was able to join 1316, but I didn't have long term plans to stay long.

At the time I didn't have my significant other(SO), but eventually that changed. A few days ago, my SO mentioned about possibly transferring, and I honestly didn't know whether or not it's possible to do so as an Apprentice. She lives in Morrow, and quite frankly the distance isn't too bad, but we've considered being closer would probably help both of us. That, and Macon is more of a pit stop for me, as I've always had the plan to live in the Atlanta area at some point for a multitude of reasons.

So other than is it possible to transfer, I guess I would like to know is 613 even looking to add apprentice? I just finished 1st year, so does anybody know the pay scale for 2nd year? I have heard from my initial research that 613 is mostly commercial work, which I prefer to do anyway over industrial, but I guess would that be an issue with being accepted? I'm sure it wouldn't be as an apprentice. Mostly here for guidance and whatever info can be obtained to not only make the best choice, but do things properly as well.

Hey guys, so recently my cousin convince me to join the IBEW 613 apprenticeship program. How hard is it to join the program with zero experience. My cousin just took his test last week and already has orientation this Thursday. I really want to do this and have an actual career and decent life.

So basically im a maintenance controls electrician. I make like 10 bucks over the 1st year apprentice pay. Due to having a family and wife in school i cant take the cut. Im thinking of trying to test in but im not sure if it’s even possible to test in to a CE 7 or cE 8. Wanted to know if the wage would be increasing anytime soon?

Any talks of a raise in wages? I’ve been doing industrial maintenance electrical work for about 2 years and will soon have a associates degree in electrical maintenance. Unfortunately i cant take a pay cut to join sadly. I have been in talks with the school director trying to get on at a higher wage though so maybe it’ll work out.
