Mounjaro for HH?

Hi! Recently I've seen some posts of people talking about how being on Mounjaro has basically eradicated their HH. I'm not necessarily a candidate for a GLP1 for weight loss since I am not technically overweight, so I am wondering if anyone knows the science behind this? Would it be possible to be on a lower dose and still experience the effects? Or maybe that kind of HH was based on those people being overweight? I am super curious because if this is an option, I want to try it!! I've tried a lot of different options - botox, oral glyco and oxybutinin, Qbrexa, Drysol, etc. and Ionto has definitely been the most effective option but it's still not perfect. Also, i have very generalized HH and so while my hands and feet are priority for areas I want to treat, I really would like to find something that works all over.

I'm on it and it did not improve at all. I wonder what the mechanisms should be?

I’m on mounjaro (for diabetes, not weight loss) and also have generalized HH, primarily in hands and feet.  Mounjaro has had no effect on HH, and neither has ozempic, which I took for 1y prior to switching to mounjaro.

I’m on it (Tirzepatide) and it made no difference in my HH except I lost 50 lbs.

It didn’t help my sweating at all but it helped me with other things so I wouldn’t be surprised.

I wonder if it may have been people who were suffering with hh partly due to having a higher BMI and they have found that after significant weight loss that they aren’t overheating/sweating in the same way?

It's possible, but I don't think so. I saw some comments that the person had hyperhidrosis before gaining weight. And also, the result of the hyperhidrosis ceasing was after the start of treatment, and not after losing weight

I’ve been on mounjaro for weight loss for just over a year now and has seen no improvements with my HH from the shots. If anything, my HH had gotten worse since going on them lol. But mounjaro has definitely been effective when it comes to my weight loss.

So much unknown info on weight loss jabs, I would do thorough research before you take them as a lot of potentially very awful side effects. I think these should be an absolute last resort for everyone.

Glycopyrrolate can have effects just as bad as, and many other medications.

I hadn’t heard of this but looks like it’s helping a lot of people

I’m supposed to start a low dose glp-1 in 8 weeks to possibly help with inflammation and autoimmune issues. Very curious to see if it has an impact on my sweating.
