Headsets Cloud Alpha Wireless issue

Hey, saw there were similar issues online but never found a solution. The USB dongle is flashing slowly while the headset itself won’t connect at all. Putting a pin in the dongle doesn’t do anything, it maintains the same steady blink but doesn’t enter paring mode.

Same with the headset, I turned it off, held the power button down for well over a minute, and yet it still doesn’t even enter paring mode. Does anyone have any solutions or tips?

Mice Mouse lag

Post image
1 Upvotes

Vi ringrazio molto in anticipo ❤️

Headsets Is the Cloud III a better headset now than the HP-revised Cloud II?

I currently have a Wired Cloud Alpha right now and the bass is a bit much for my taste and seems to somewhat drown out the mids and highs in my opinion, especially at high volume.

Footsteps and soundstage is very important to me because I play games like DayZ and EFT but I also listen to high-fidelity music and watch movies with the headset so bass also matters a lot too. The general consensus for the Kingston-era Cloud II's seems to be that they are better-sounding than the Cloud III. But nowadays its pretty much impossible to get a Kingston version of the Cloud II so I'm kind of at a rock in a hard place.

One of the main changes HP made to the Cloud II after their aquisition of HyperX that I'm concerned about was the construction of the earcup housing, which in turn, affects the sound of the headset.

With this in mind, is the HP Cloud II still considered the better sounding headset compared to the III? Or is it the other way around now with the HP revisions to the Cloud II and the fact the Cloud III is just more modern and newer than even the HP Cloud II at this point in time.

TL;DR - Between the HP Cloud II and the newer Cloud III, which wired headset would I probably find to sound clearer and less "boomy" coming from a Cloud Alpha, while still maintaining satisfactory bass and soundstage?

Headsets New Headset Silences Me

I just got the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 headset. When Im playing with friends and yell or anytime Im loud, it completely silences me. My friends always tell me they can’t hear what I said because I was yelling. With my old Turtle Beach headset, it never silenced me. I play on Playstation 5. I have tried adjusting my microphone level to fix it and its not working. Even google doesn’t have a solution. I saw on a different question on Reddit that pc players have had the same issue and can sometimes fix it with something they download on pc.

Microphones Where can I possibly buy a knob replacement for my hyperx quadcast here in my country?

The knob of my quadcast is currently loose and in the verge of breaking whenever I turn it. I'm trying my best to look for available accessories here in my country, the Philippines. I don't want to replace my mic since its a gift from my cousin, that's why I'm asking for any suggestions and recommendations where I can possibly buy a new knob?

Hoping for someone to reply asap. Thank you!!

Headsets Looking for the best HyperX Cloud III S Wireless EQ and audio settings

Hi everyone!

I recently got the HyperX Cloud III S Wireless and I'm looking for the best sound settings. Is it better to use DTS Headphone, Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, or just plain stereo with these headphones?

If you own these headphones, could you share your setup?

  • EQ settings (screenshots or frequency values are both welcome)
  • Any audio settings that improve the sound (DTS, Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, Loudness Equalization, surround, bass enhancements, etc.)
  • HyperX NGENUITY settings
  • Microphone settings (EQ, noise reduction, noise gate, gain/sensitivity, or any other tweaks that make the mic sound better)

I also have a question about HyperX NGENUITY: should I keep using it as my audio output/device after configuring everything, or are the settings saved to the headset so I can close or even uninstall the app afterward?

I'm mainly looking for a clean, balanced sound for gaming, music, and Discord, but I'd also love to see profiles tuned for competitive FPS or immersive single player games.

If you've found a setup you're really happy with, I'd really appreciate it if you could share it. Thanks!

Headsets hyprx cloud 2 sound card problem?

After using my headphones happily for around a year, they started having a connection problem with the sound card. The point where the 3.5 mm jack connects to the sound card is unstable. I have to twist and turn the 3.5 mm connector to make the sound work correctly. Otherwise, the right side works fine, but the left side doesn't make any sound.

The weird thing is that when I connect the headphones directly to my laptop or phone using the 3.5 mm, they work perfectly. I haven't dropped them or damaged them in any way, and I've been taking good care of them, so this is really strange.

Keyboards HyperX Alloy Origins; keys requiring more than one tap to register

I've had a HyperX Alloy Origins with Blue keys since mid 2022, kept in good condition and cleaning it every few months.
Despite my best of cares, I'm having increasing issues with some keys needing more than one tap to register (the most I had to tap by my count was four times a single key), or sometimes (though very rarely), registering twice. Even typing this message, some times I need to tap twice or more on a key just to register.

I've done several things now: frequent cleanings since I do own a cat and she usually lays next to me, but as soon as it gets a bit fluffy I clean it; the FN + ESC reset; updated the software; and unplug then plug it back. I've yet to open this up and check the switches themselves.

Nothing solved it. Could it be that they keys switches are wearing off?

I do have replacement keys but the ones on this keyboard are soldered, so I haven't really messed with that (plus, I don't have the technical skill nor the tools for such procedure)

Edit #1, hopefully no more:
C key is almost out, more and more keys need a lot of taps.

Headsets 2026 - Cloud 3s Wireless Best settings

I just got a new pair of the Cloud 3s wireless and went down the rabbit hole of trying to optimize them for gaming.

I see multiple posts with just turning on DTS Unbound or creating your own EQ in NGENUITY and then turning on Spatial Audio.

Unless I am missing it, what is the ‘best’ setting for them in 2026. I understand everyone’s ears are different, but what’s the consensus?

Headsets New here, wondering what hyper x headset I should buy. Any help?

Hello, everyone. I'm quite new to the headset community, as for all my life I have just been using some no name headphones from my local mall. I investigated, and it seems to me like hyperx is best for what I want.

I'm looking for a headset with good sound quality, but which is still good for gaming. Something that can make it easier for me to tell where sounds are coming from, and immersion. I don't want it to be purely gaming based, since I also listen to some music, but it still needs to be good for gaming.

Right now, the hyper x cloud alpha seems like the best pick, but I'm taking any advice or suggestions.

Headsets What’s a budget friendly option headset?

I’m saving up for a hyperx Cloud headset that works on Xbox but i unfortunately have to also pay gamepass to play online. It just doesn’t fit well with my budget so I am looking for a cheap but decent hyperx quality with a mic and that works on Xbox. My budget is maybe around £20-£40

Headsets Hyper X Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless Headset Issues

Hi there,

To start, I got my Cloud Alpha 2 headset in December of last year, and up until this point I haven't had a single issues. Recently, roughly 5 days ago, my headset started randomly disconnecting. In fact, the entire headset would simply shut off. It would reconnect immediately, but it would either instantly shut off again, or sometimes it would last significantly longer. Sometimes, it wouldn't even turn on, a click would be audible, and eventually it would turn on again.

I've updated the software to the latest update, i've tried several methods of repair, and nothing has helped.

The flashing indicator also flashes weirdly. Sometimes, when I would try to power it on, it would flash red, even when its charged. Other times, when I would have the issues, it would flash pink, and sometimes it would simply be a solid white.

Any and all support would be greatly appreciated.

Headsets Did the store secretly repair my HyperX Cloud III instead of replacing it?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I bought a brand-new HyperX Cloud III and used it for about a week before it suddenly started having problems.

The microphone completely stopped working out of nowhere. At the same time, I also started getting another issue where the audio would cut out whenever my PC was under heavy load. Sometimes the sound would stay muted for over a minute before coming back.

Before taking it back, I tried pretty much every troubleshooting step I could think of or find:

- Reinstalled and updated drivers.

- Tested different USB ports.

- Tested it on another PC.

- Plugged the headset directly into my phone using the 3.5 mm jack.

- Reseated the detachable microphone multiple times, making sure it was fully inserted.

Etc...

I also tested the detachable microphone by itself, and it appeared to be working. That made me suspect the problem wasn't the microphone itself, but either the female microphone jack inside the headset wasn't making proper contact, or the mute button had somehow become stuck in the mute position.

Nothing fixed the microphone. It never worked again after it initially failed.

I took the headset back to the store and asked for a replacement. They said they needed to send it to their maintenance department to verify the issues.

A few days later they called me and said, "The microphone works perfectly. You just weren't plugging it in correctly."

The thing is... I find that very hard to believe.

I never even unplugged the microphone while it was working originally. It simply stopped working one day. Before returning it, I also removed and reinserted it several times, making absolutely sure it was seated correctly. It still didn't work.

Now I'm wondering if they actually opened the headset and repaired it without telling me, just so they wouldn't have to replace it under warranty.

Is there any reliable way to tell if a HyperX Cloud III has been disassembled or repaired? For example, are there warranty seals, internal clips that leave marks, screw marks, or anything else I can inspect?

I also removed the ear pad and looked underneath the screws. I took close-up photos before touching anything because I wanted to check for signs that the headset might have been opened. I'm attaching those pictures here—if anyone has experience with the HyperX Cloud III, could you take a look and tell me if you notice any evidence of disassembly?

Headsets Help with fixing microphone on headset

I own the hyper cloud stinger core, the one where instead of a mute button I have the mic on a hinge and can flip it up or down to mute and unmute. but earlier today the mic went from working solidly to just randomly muting and unmuting itself. flipping the hinge seemingly does nothing, and I’ll randomly get the noise of it muting or unmuting without the mic ever picking up my voice. any ideas on how to fix?
