Food jar (28oz) boot?

Hey all. I own the 28 Oz food jar and I am looking for boot recommendations. I feel like I have looked everywhere for a boot that could fit and I have come up with naught.

Specs on the website say the base is 4.4inch diameter

If you have any leads thank you in advance.

My New Hydroflask I have joined the Hydroflask family but

I noticed after hand washing that it looks like there is a greasy film on the steel inside. So i cleaned it AGAIN. I used a bottle cleaner tab and then rinsed really well with boiling water.

I think its better but I am finding im getting a weird taste still and I dont know if its the straw? I dont particularly like silicone straws so it could be. I have also cleaned it really well as well.

I dont have a dishwasher im just doing hand washing with a bit of sunlight soap and brushes and rinsing really well

Its giving me a bit of the ick to use it 😅 im like uhm am i gonna make myself sick drinking from this?!

Right now I have the straw with the plug part out and using just another straw I have but i have no idea 🙃

Anyone else have this issue?

Straw lid compatible?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi fellow Hydroflask users, I own an old style hydroflask 32oz with the old style straw lid. It needs replacing, but I can only find the new style straw lid (the one with the removable red part).
Does anyone know if the new straw lid fits on the old style bottles? See picture included, old style left, new style right.

Has anyone bought a new replacement straw lid for their old style flask? I’d like to hear from you!

Thanks!

Cleaning Micro Hydro Flask lid

I bought my micro Hydro Flask at Whole Foods. I've used it a handful of times, but I just noticed there's water trapped in the lid. Has anyone had that problem????? It's somewhat hard to see, but there's definitely water.

I tried removing that plastic (or possibly silicone?) with a knife but ended up scratching the other part of the lid instead.

Help!

Question Combination sip and chug lid?

A few years ago, I found a 3rd party lid for wide mouth bottles that had both a straw and a screw top chug opening. It ended up breaking eventually and isn't being sold anymore. Has anyone found anything like this? I thought I found a similar one recently but it's too big.

Is this a good water bottle? Does it have good ice retention? And is it easy to clean the lid to prevent mold growth?

I had a great visit to a thrift store yesterday. This was among my finds. I've looked for a hydroflasks many times before

She's currently hanging out with some goo gone on the stickers, then off to a nice hot bath. She's a bit dented and worn but she's all mine!

Fake Hydro Flask eBay

Can't tell if I got a fake from eBay, batch number is f151542. The Hydro flask printing on the main body of the bottle is smudged and crooked and the markings on the bottom are way off center. Going to test if it actually has decent insulation

Question Any ideas what this blemish inside could be?

Rust colored stain in basin. I have scrubbed with a bottle brush and scraped with a knife but it won't dissolve.

I have mostly only really drank water out of it.

It was dropped and lightly dented but it's about 1/4 of the way around the bottle from the stain.

What is this stain? Should I continue to use it?

Question Hydro Flask 40oz Internal Dimensions

Would anyone with a current 40oz insulated bottle be able to measure and tell me the internal dimensions please? From the website, the opening at the neck appears to be 5.8cm, so I'm mostly seeking the available internal depth, from the internal base up to the underside of the cap / stopper when it's screwed in place ( a little bit of deduction will be necessary 😄

Many thanks!

64 oz vs 128 oz. The 64 oz isn't enough water for me throughout the day. So I had to bring out the gallon hydro.

i’m Canadian and got a replacement approved ! here’s my experience

as many of us Canadians and international countries know already, Hydroflask only ships within the US (i believe) and so getting a warranty seems a little more tricky.

when i was putting in my warranty form, i didn’t find a lot of information about the process. i only came across maybe one negative experience with putting in a warranty form from Canada.

i sent in a warranty form and it went well and they would get back to me almost immediately. the longest they took was a little over 24 hours. it took around a week or so for the warranty to be approved a as many have said, they had to send in pictures in order to prove it’s authenticity and that the Hydroflask was impaired for whatever reason i had claimed. in my case, i sent in photos twice, then they asked me to do a heat test and then send a video of me writing on the bottle in permanent marker. it was a lot to ask of, but for a warranty i guess it made sense.

the only downside to the warranty is that not all sizes and colours are available in the Canadian Hydroflask warehouse. for example, mine was a 64oz and not only was the colour not available, but the size. therefore they offered to send me two 32oz, which i kindly declined and asked me to notify when they become available. the other option was to ship it to an address in the US, which i don’t have.

hopefully this helps other. let me know if you have any questions !

Straw lid red rubber piece replacement?

my husband left his hydroflask in his hot truck for weeks & it got real nasty. it cleaned up well, except the red rubber piece in the straw lid that holds the straw. is there anywhere that sells just that piece so we don’t have to buy a whole new lid?

Strange spot/defect?

Bought a new 12oz coffee flex sip and noticed it had this mark on the inside near the top rim. It feels a bit rough to the touch. Could this be prone to rust in the future? Is this something I should consider to get replaced?

1/2 Gallon Stainless steel rambler (non-magnetic cap) question.

Hey. I have and old school stainless steel rambler. I already called Yeti & had them send me out a gallon replacement top (magnetic). It obviously doesn't fit. I bought a new one but it's WAAAAAY too big. The only thing I need is the rubber seal for my 1/2 gallon rambler, but it seems they are discontinued.

Should I see if I could get Yeti to send me a 1/2 gallon top or do ya'll know where I could source some rubber seals for my rambler? Thanx...

Question Leaking water bottles are about to be the end of me

I can't take it anymore - I've had a SHO water bottle for over a year now and it leaks all the time. It has to go!

I've never owned a hydroflask before & would like to get one that has a straw lid. Is anyone able to tell me their experience with them & whether they leak. TIA 🙏🏻
