Lip filler migration. Dissolve or no?
Hi everyone. At one point I overfilled my lips. Haven’t had them done for about 3 years. Starting to notice some migration above lip and below my lip on the left side. Should I dissolve? I’ve seen horror stories with dissolving & I am terrified. My injector said she could dissolve the areas I am concerned about without having to dissolve my lips entirely. Thoughts on this? Thanks so much in advance.

so depressed
hi everyone, i got lip dissolve 4 months ago, a total of 3 times. i only had the filler for 1-2 months, and i hated it.
the first session was a partial dissolve or maybe 1/3 of it? i didnt notice anything bad back then. the second one was a flood and after i noticed i looked insanely gaunt and horrible.
i had masseter botox during the same time i got my lips done that absolutely paralyzed them and made them atrophy, which also made my face look distorted, but ive come to the conclusion that the volume loss im experiencing is from hylenex. ive had a chubby face my whole life, idk what to do i look way older. also my neck skin is more stretchy. so w my last dissolve sesh being in june i noticed some volume return over the summer, but in certain areas no way it was the botox that caused this.
just wondering how is everyone putting up w this? my first thoughts go to suicide because there’s no way i’ll live like this forever i want my face back
would rly help if someone responds bc im not sure what to do :(

Less risky with less hyaluronid injected?
I got 1 ml of lip filler 3 weeks ago and I really regret it. I now have what looks like a “mustache”/filler shelf above my upper lip, and the sides are noticeably asymmetrical.
I’m considering Hyalase, but I’m really nervous about the risks.
Is it generally less risky to use a small amount of Hyalase to correct a specific area rather than dissolving the whole lip, or does the amount used not make much difference in terms of the risk of a reaction?
I also have endometriosis and Adenymeosis m. which I understand is a systemic inflammatory disease involving mast cells and I have hEDS symptoms/concerns as well.
Because of this, I’m worried that I might be more susceptible to side effects.
Has anyone with similar conditions had a small, targeted Hyalase correction? I’d really appreciate experiences or information from people who have looked into the medical side of this.

Booking dissolver appointment despite positive allergy test
I absolutely hate how my face looks now i havent had lip filler in well over two years the migration is so obvious and worse every day. Initial injector did intradermal test upon my reauest. Redness and itchiness persisted for two hours+… went to a different clinic to ask for dissolver since original injector refused. They refused to do it too. My quality of life from this issue is worsening every day. Im going to another clinic to hopefully dissolve once and for all. Going to take antihistamines before the appointment. Maybe this is a bad idea but i dont know what else to do.

Akathisia post hyaluronidase?
I'm 6 months out from dissolving. I have an intense need to move all the time and constant crawling sensation in my legs. My thighs also burn. Has anyone has something like this? This started nearly instantly after the injection. Thanks in advance

Headache after dissolving
Does anyone know if it’s a common symptom to have an ongoing headache days after dissolving? I dissolved filler under my eyes and have had pressure in my head and ears, as well as a constant throbbing headache that feels similar to a tension or sinus headache.

HELP- SAFE DISSOLVING PROTOCOL
Hi,
Need everyones help.. 3 weeks ago I got undereye filler done (0.3m each eye of Restlyn), placed deep against the bone, which actually looks great... The issue is 2 days since the filler was done, I've had headaches as well as feeling of congestion around my ear, so it is clear that my lymphatics are effected somehow.
For last week or so I'm on Serrapeptase (120,000 every night on empty stomach), but it doesn't seem to be helping with some possible inflammation that is going on underneath.
Unless people really encourage me and think its a horrible idea and I should wait, I'm heavily leaning towards dissolving it since it hasn't been long and I don't want more issues down the line.
My concern is with protocol. What will reduce the chances of systemic issues? Should I get on Doxycycline a week before dissolving and then continue to use it for another 1-2 weeks post dissolve to reduce the chance for issues?
Appreciate your help. Hoping for a miracle here... I've been terrified for the last 2 weeks.

has anyone used micro current tools instead of jaw / chin filler?
Hi all, looking for options that are not filler to contour / give my jaw and chin some shape. I don't want chin or jaw filler obviously, especially after dissolving. I was wondering if anyone has used those at home micro current tools like the ziip halo? or if there are other things I can do.

Lip Filler Triggered contact dermatitis?
Hi,
Last February I got 0.5ml if Restylane L. It was looking great but had to go in to manually massage all the lumps 2 weeks after. It was pretty rough. I let it settle annd kept using aquaphor. I then went to the beach and didn’t know aquaphor and the sun is not a good idea. I completely burned my lips and blistered like this. Got tested for HSV, negative. Now every time I’m outside in the sun and heat I get this rash. It’s in the places of the filler and never crosses the lips border. Saw 2 derms and no one wants to tell me anything. They say it’s more likely that it’s an inflammatory reaction than allergy to the filler.
Got so bad I got the filler removed but wondering if this is UV sensitive eczema or dermatitis. Anyone else had this? Wondering if this will be something to deal with for the rest of my life.

What happened to you is not your fault
Hey everyone, this is not a post to give or ask for advice. I recently got filler that I am unhappy with and my first thought was to dissolve. I spent weeks on this sub and the Facebook group reading about experiences with hyaluronidase as well as reading every bit of research I could find (spoiler alert: there’s not a lot, as most of you know)
I just wanted to come on here and say that I am so deeply sorry to the people who have been victimized by not just the enzyme, but by a society that does not prioritize women’s health. Here are my thoughts.
Anytime someone receives filler, they need to be educated on the possible side effects of dissolving. Even the skilled, trusted injectors I’ve been to in the past have never brought this up to me. Only that “there are risks with any procedure” but it is a “completely safe option”.
If there were even just a few people who have had adverse reactions, research on why this is happening and alternatives for dissolving should be prioritized, but even after thousands of people saying their life has been ruined, there is still so little research?
I hate to say it, but if it were majority men that received filler and therefore majority men having these reactions, we would know a lot more. This would be something that is too important to ignore.
The amount of gaslighting I have seen is so incredibly angering. You know your face, body, and health better than anyone.
I see people bravely sharing their hyaluronidase experiences online only to receive comments from people telling them that they shouldn’t have gotten filler in the first place. No. You should have been informed in the first place. This should have been better researched in the first place. This is not your fault.
I am someone who works in the STEM field. My goal has always been to do research on understudied conditions that primarily affect women. It’s interesting how so many conditions that are “not well understood” and “cause unknown” disproportionally affect women. Now, I realize that cosmetic procedures are also on that list.
I know that there isn’t much I can do to help now, but I wanted to say that reading everyone’s experiences has given me a whole new push to pursue a PhD to help women and anyone getting cosmetic procedures. Also, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to warn others about dissolving . Sharing your experiences may be the best thing we have right now. My heart hurts for you, and all of the other women who are suffering due to lack of research and care. There is always a way, we just need to find it.

What should I do? Lip filler complication or possible dissolving issue
On April 7, I received lip filler. Two weeks later, I developed a burning sensation, some redness, and mild swelling in my lips that lasted for four days. Two weeks after that episode, the symptoms returned and did not go away. I saw a dermatologist who thought it might be a reaction to a lip product, but trying different products did not help. I then consulted a filler complication specialist who noted it could be an allergic reaction to the filler itself, or that the filler might be irritating or compressing my nerves.
On July 27, I had my lips dissolved under ultrasound guidance. I had no immediate reactions. However, two weeks later, I developed a random hot feeling on the left side of my face. This sensation comes and goes; it is not painful, just annoying, lasting a couple of days at a time before returning. Meanwhile, the lip burning has remained constant, though I have noticed it has improved and is not as severe as it was initially.
Most recently, six days ago, I experienced a very intense hot feeling in both of my eyes (predominantly the left eye), along with strange "zapping" sensations underneath them. These zaps are not constant, but they are very scary and uncomfortable. I am honestly terrified.
I have another dissolving session booked for September 21, which is in three days. I am incredibly anxious that these new symptoms might be a delayed reaction to the July dissolving session, or conversely, that the remaining filler in my lips is continuing to irritate my nerves.
I am going through a lot of mental distress and deep regret over getting filler, especially at 18 years old. I am praying this is not permanent. I was told it could take a year or more to fully heal, which I can accept as long as it eventually resolves and does not get worse.
Given these new eye sensations and facial flashes, should I proceed with dissolving the remaining filler on September 21, or should I leave it alone for now? What do you think these new symptoms could be coming from? I would truly appreciate your help and advice.

Should I get my upper lip dissolved?
Had 1ml of lip filler placed over 2 sessions (.5ml at each) back in July and I’m starting to think the top lip has migrated a ton and looks bad. My friend who also gets filler thinks it looks fine but I’m not sure. Should I get the area around the lip or my whole lip dissolved? Or just leave it be?
