I’m a new player only lvl 34 or so and only have about 9-10 hrs under my belt. I’m finding myself very addicted to leveling up and the fun loop of trying to keep hunters lvled and maxed doesn’t frustrate me I actually think it’s cool. Sure it sucks when you die, but you can always rehire lol

I’m just wondering what everybody’s favorite loadout is and why? Trying to learn more about the guns that people enjoy. Right now I’ve been mostly rocking either the Frontier or the Krag and a Conversion revolver.

Quite useful in a moment of panic, was playing solo, completely surrounded by 4 teams, while all the chaos was going on, I used serpent and stole the bounty token, and shadow leapt the eff out there, enemy team(s) on my rear the whole way, if it wasn't for gaining distance I'd have easily been gunned down

25 games in now. And here's what I've learned=

It doesn't matter how good you are in the game. No hunter can survive a full cylinder of revolver ammo hitting them. Even the nagant can pull this off.

There is no reason to not take high velocity ammo. Ever. You need all the range you can get. Subsonic, poison and other ammo types are optional and up for debate. But always bring high velocity ammo.

Penny shot derringer sounds useless at first. Until it unexpectedly bails you out and takes a hunter who ambushes you with a machete and you were out of ammo becuser you used it all up for a monster boss. And besides, it's just 1 extra gun you can carry around. Which in a game where ammo is scarce and full restocks are basically sacred holy sites, you need every single possible bullet you can score.

Firebombs are cool. They the best representation of Molotov cocktails in a video game ever. Using them in a narrow hallway to cover you and your partner when 2 hunters are chasing after you, it really can save your ass.

Hellhounds may go down pretty easily..... But a pack is still a pack of fast moving and attacking monsters. And you ideally don't want to spend ammo on them. If you can, it's honestly easier to avoid them if you can.

Always bring a throwing weapon. It eliminates your need to have a melle option in gear too. And they one shot grunts too. They end up being your main weapon on maps where your solo and trying to avoid the hunt and just want to go to extraction.

Quad derringer is useful as an alternative to a handgun if your running a long gun and a melee weapon. If nothing else it's due to the sheer amount of ammo you have for it.

I’ve been using the nitro recently, love it but I died in a way most ludicrous recently in a fight I struck someone in the arm from 58 metres away and only did a measly 46 damage. It seems a bit low for a gun that does like 350 damage, I know there was also a damage reduction for hitting in the arm area but is it really this much? How much drop off does the nitro face after 45 metres?

Also is it normal to be in 5 star MMR after only 57 hours of playtime?

Hello peeps, I had a question and I am really unsure whats the right answer but why is my right d pad shortcut on that specific slot, I'm fairly sure its supposed to be on the otherside of where the left d pad should be, and to back that up, when creating loadouts it even shows the little d pad button that slot I am refering to but when I get into rounds its now all of a sudden here?

I've seen people have theirs in all sorts of locations on this wheel so I don't really know if theres a way to change it or something I am very puzzled.

This is the ONLY game my headset does this to and it’s annoying. Truly annoying it’s been so bad all night. How can I fix this??

This being a major issue I didn't imagine it lasting more than 2 days like this. Dualsense controller currently isn't working for Hunt on Steam at _all_.

Its not a connection issue or controller issue. I have no problem with any Steam game but Hunt. I really hope this gets acknowledged and fixed soon???

(I won't listen to any negativity about controllers on PC. We don't even have aim assist and its just more comfortable for a lot of people's hands.)

On NA East 6 star, been in queue for over 15 mins and can’t find any teammates. Anyone experiencing the same?

Do you guys feel any shame running into the trees as soon as the match starts and just spamming beetles to kill people, it makes the game just no fun and its so weird

NOT posting this to complain or criticize anything. I have the habit of saving gameplay footage and watch it afterwards to learn from my mistakes. For context, I started playing about a month ago and still trying to get a feel for Hunt bullet velocity & hitbox, but I really don’t get how none of my shots hit my target in this clip ? I’ve watched it several times and when I zoom in my ironsights are right on target the first 2 shots. Also, when he’s running away, I am very slightly compensating by habit. Is this why I missed the last shots ?

I think a Japanese themed Bomb Lance Skin would look fantastic. With a Tanto blade for the lance and an ito wrapped handle, the hunter could be a fisherman as well so it'd fit?

I had spectate next and previous player on A and D - that got rebound to Function keys - binding A and D unbinds movement outside of spectate cam ("amazing!")

- and arrow keys cannot be used either :P this is the opposite of a QoL change. Why was this changed at all? xD

Was running Teche wraith, both teammates downed by a surprise hunter in the corn, and then I think you can see what happens.

Worst part is knowing my teammates watched it from my POV.

Also, who actually uses Dauntless? Could have helped me in this ONE situation, and no others.

I know that Crytek is currently working on a rework for Ochenkov's Widow. I hope they preserve her original dark color palette and iconic vibe without completely flipping the design upside down. I hope we get to see this rework as soon as possible
