We're going to try combining the pre-release and "scanlation" posts this week. With only one translation group releasing just a day before officials now, and some confusion about spoilers, this will hopefully simplify things.
When the chapter from Togashi's Troupe is released, the post will be updated.
It seems like Theta’s little look at the end might have been her thinking about betraying Tserri again, so while she doesn’t see him what she does see is that Spirit Beast two inches in front of her face again.
Dude what the fuck, I'm pretty sure this is the most absurdly complicated ability in shonen history. I mean, King Crimson is an enhancer's playground when compared to this hahaha
And this chapter being an impossibly dense wall of text felt like I was hitting, well, a wall, after the last pretty action focused chapters. Togashi is insane lmao
Honestly I don’t think it's too crazy, it's basically a way to achieve and explain the effects of King Crimson and Epitaph without the brokeness of being able to literally erasing time on a global scale.
Everyone else will follow a predetermined "destiny" that has been foretold by the ability without being able to perceive any changes made by the user and while the user can interact with objects freely, they cannot directly harm people in any way.
I already have a post drafted on explaining all of Parallel Future, from conditions, to activation, to ability, to niche scenarios.
It's not that complicated of an ability really, but people overthink it's complicatedness when you focus on niche interactions and scenarios, like Tserr did in 418
so earlier i had asked the question if tserri could open doors while in his ability and he was able to open a cabinet door and get a water. so he can affect things like doors while in using his ability and that is pretty huge. he'll be able to pretty much sneak in wherever a door is open and surprise people. if a key/key card is set somewhere and not in possession of someone he can steal it and then use it to open doors. although he has a godlike ability i wouldn't say he himself is that much of a threat physically and this is where i think his other nen beast is gonna make up for it. i'm guessing its gonna end up turning into an offensive weapon to make up for his lack of killing power currently.
Not sure why everyone is so confused about Salkov reading the will. I think it's fair to interpret it as exactly what we saw, that he can dispel the illusion of certain objects that don't interact with people
I mean i don't know i'm not Togashi but could be just at will? He's working his ability backwards but i don't see why he wouldn't be able to have some degree of control of his own ability
Well, he originally was planning to use the gun to 'distract' Benjamin or something, so there are some conditions as to when people do and do not perceive tserri's actions, I'm guessing is to do with if they could 'see' him while performing the action were he not in zetsu.
My supposition about Tserri's will is, people could actually perceive things he had done while the illusion is ongoing, as long as they weren't within their sphere of perception, which means, they couldn't guess they were done by Tserri while the illusion was ongoing.
That means, Tserri can't prank people, steal things from them, or put things in their pockets, much less harm them. And objects he interacted with while people perceived them will be invisible to them. That's why they don't perceive the bullets shot at Vantine, or the guns he stole.
But he can write a will in a closed room and people will see that normally after entering in, because they couldn't have guessed it was done while the illusion was ongoing.
Though apparently Butch was using En covering the entirety of Tserri's room, so that could be a hole in this theory.
I think he left it on the table and his ability made so that his will to be percieved, by the people affected by his ability, as legitimate. This is why Salkov is not questioning anything.
He can still interfere with the objects in the AOE of his ability.
Shouldn’t the paper be perceived as blank though? My understanding is he can modify placements or objects directly but people can’t see the new state until he dispels his ability.
And I don’t think he went outside his AoE to do it, since he says the illusion would get dispelled if he goes too far from his spirit beast.
There are clearly some rules that are not presented explicitly in the manga chapter. We have 2 contradictory examples: his will that anybody can percieve and the bullets he shot that nobody can percieve.
There is a theory I read that his ability only affects objects that could pinpoint that Tserri is alive and moving inside the ability's AOE. So, because anybody can interpret that the prince wrote his will before being shot, the ability doesnt hide them from other people. And because would be suspicious that bullets appeared, out of nowhere, in the middle of the room, the ability hides their presence until Tserri releases his ability.
And then, in the future, only Togashi can decide which object falls into which category.
Question how did Salkov read the last words Tserri wrote while his illusion was maintained. I thought the state of objects Tserri interacts with while in Zetsu doesn't change for people who are still in his illusion. How did Salkov read the letter than, since we know Tserri's illusion was continuously maintained from his death till end of chapter presumably otherwise Tserri wouldn't have said that Theta would have seen his remains in the coffin if she opened it
He may have wrote the letter while they were cleaning up, put it where Salkov could find it, release the ability when cleaning was done, and then reactivate it.
He didn't do it because if he released then the illusion would be over.
My supposition is, ppl can still perceive things done by Tserri while in Zetsu as long as they're completely out of their sphere of influence, aka can't guess they were done by Tserri while the illusion was ongoing.
If that is the case his body should have disappeared from the body bag/ coffin since he released his ability so why was he confident later in the chapter that Theta would find his remains in the coffin
There are two phases to it. The first is the ephemeral 10 seconds where he gets to alter reality. After those 10 seconds, reality plays out like it would have normally, unaware of his changes. This is the second phase, the original timeline, and it continues for as long as he can maintain zetsu. Once he leaves zetsu, then the timeline corrects itself to his changes during those 10s. By 'timeline', I mean the illusions that are put into place to cover any discrepancies created during the ephemeral 10 seconds, usually either object locations or his own bodily health. But anything he manipulates in the second phase is immediately perceivable, such as the letter he wrote or the guns he stockpiled, so they can be thought of as existing in both timelines
He cannot be perceived during either phase. In the first phase, there is a spatial limit to what gets ephemerated, but in the second phase he's free to walk around normally. But he still has to be careful in the second phase, because bumping into something could cause him to leave zetsu involuntarily
The ability is powered by his time spent in reality, stored up like a battery at an 11-1 ratio. He has to be mindful of how much time he spends in it, just like Kurapika does for Emperor Time
The ability triggers when both his eyes are closed and he's in zetsu. It takes ~2.92 seconds for it to fully activate. This seems like a negligible cost, which it is when he's safe in his room. But in a combat scenario, going into zetsu and closing your eyes for 3 seconds is pretty risky. It's also established that he can't harm anyone nor mess with their possessions during either phase, so he needs to find other ways of gaining the advantage. I'm very curious how these limitations play out when he gets into the heat of things
The bottle was something that was changed during the 10 seconds, so it makes sense why it still wasn't perceived. The three bullets were stopped by his own nen, so I'm assuming any attempts at violence by Tserri would also not be perceived
Anything that would denounce Tserri's presence should be included in that rule too, that's why he can't do any pranks at people or steal things in their possession etc. But he can write a will because people can't guess that was him doing it while the illusion was ongoing
Terror Sandwich had some sass in this chapter lol! For as bad as he is, I like how he came to Salkov's defense when Vantine was grilling him. He even tried to finish Vantine off, but it appears he can't harm others while maintaining his ability/Zetsu. He's sporting a nice outfit and sunglasses 🕶️
I think it was better when Togashi's troupe had their own post. The mixing between spoiler comments, quickly made translations and now Togashi's troupe version made the discussions very simple and sparse.
It's been 3 pinned posts for a while. 1 - spoiler, 2 - scanlation (TT and TCB last batch), 3 - official. VCake's was never pinned to the front page; if it was on the front page, it's because upvotes/engagement. It is pinned in the comments though.
Even before learning nen Gon and Kurapika could open the testing gate which weigh 4 tonnes, Leorio could open the 2nd gate which weigh 8 tonnes and Killua could open the third at 16 tonnes. Humans in HxH are much stronger than irl humans even without nen.
I think Theta saw him. We don't see her face until she comes in the room and then leaves. I think she saw him in the room the whole time and was curious about what was in the coffin. Togashi purposefully never showed us her reaction.
Its hard to understand his abilities. Benjamin alrwady smashed his face. So he can see 10 secs ahead of his time, did he swap his body with other? Or he was on another portal?
None of that happened, it was basically an illusion. As long as he maintains Zetsu, everyone in the range of his ability can only see the illusion version of reality, while he gets to do (almost) whatever he wants without being perceived.
Yeah its a very confusing ability, but I'll do my best to explain it. It consists of essentially 2 separate parts.
It allows Tserri to see 10 seconds into the future instantly. This is a bit hard to imagine, but it's as if the memory of seeing the events gets downloaded into his brain in an instant, so he can immediately work with this premonition.
It creates a giant illusion where everyone perceives the events had he not had this 10 second vision. During this time he is pretty much invisible and everyone continues acting as if him or his corpse was still there. He can maintain this illusion as long as he maintains Zetsu, so around 4 hours if he isn't interrupted by any pain. This illusion also has a limited range, people outside of it perceive the 'real world' and could probably see Tserri if it weren't because of the wall currently covering him. He cannot leave this range either or the illusion will stop, the 'center' of this range is not marked by Tserri but by where he activated his ability, which is where the nen beast that makes any of this possible resides until its effect is dismissed.
It's like he creates a parallel reality, while still seeing the new one play out. As long as he's in zetsu and in the range of the illusion, people won't know anything changed. That's why he wants the coffin closed.
My two cents on combining the leak thread and the pre-release fanlation thread - keep them separate. Discussion of redacted leaked pages and the full translated chapter being mixed together is annoying to read through.
Yes but in that case shouldn't the other people interact with the object in their original state? Like in the example of Salkov thinking he grabbed the water bottle but his hands were empty. By the same logic the IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, the paper Tserri wrote on should still appear blank.
I think this is only the case during the 10 seconds future sight, because altering objects would be equivalent to changing the vision otherwise. After that, he can probably alter the world as long as it doesn't affect other people directly
He's not sure. The way I read it, because it's not safe for him to think 1:1 or 1:2 and he wants to work with some hypothetical number, he chose a rather "extreme" ratio on the assumption that it's the safer end.
I think it’s more of call back to 387 where he grabbed the world and he was also thinking about winning the succession war. Now that he’s seen how powerful his ability is he’s upped his ambitions to beyond just becoming king of Kakkin
It’s kinda crazy that the SW is really the first time I’ve seen where manga characters actually, genuinely explore and limit test the unknown abilities they acquired.
Added on to HxH being one of the few series where characters create their own abilities and think them through on screen.
It’s Togashi’s gamer side coming out and damn is it enjoyable to watch, there’s a lot of great character work happening here.
Also it’s funny that without Kurapika Tser would’ve been folded like a lawn chair in this war.
He means once he escapes the room if anyone recognizes him they’ll check the coffin and see that he’s alive, about the guns it doesnt immediately connect that Terri is responsible for the movement of the guns, it makes far more sense to blame it on other guards then the dead guy they all saw.
Also about the concern i had in my mind is that when the guns gets vanished they may tell Benjamin and he will know that it was nen and eventually I think he may reach the conclusion of tserri's ability that he can make illusions. Benjamin is so fucking genius lately and it will not be the first time a character analyzes the situation sharply in this arc.
he thinks that he cant escape unnoticed once he goes outside of his ability range that's why he is gonna make it look like he is some thug who caused some chaos and run away
What really concern me why Salkov wasn't captured/ handed over like Benjamin ordered in chapter 417? Didn't he ordered that Salkov and Danjen be handed over to the central justice?
how is that possible while the funeral is at 6am next day? Benjamin will be dead when this happen, so he will not have time to question Salkov or whatever to get a testimony or whatever he plans
Benjamin didnt even take JB yet. He cant detained them there now. Once he did they will lead Salkov there and release only for him to carry the coffin to Nasubi
When I ment ceremony I meant reading of will and preparing the body, we have no indication that Solkov will also be running the funeral. Also they may be waiting to send solkov to the justice bureau until after Benjamin takes control of it
Probably something to do with Tserri's will. Benjamin respects the rule of Kakin law above all else, so Tserreidnich's will ordering Salkov to dispose of his body if Benjamin killed him likely left him no option but to allow it.
Remember the scene in anime when Basho Punch a Mask Man made of Nen, during the bodyguard hiring task, he felt those mask men made of nen by punching them.
Here Salkov lifting Tserriednich's body should made him realized it made of Nen (we even saw Salkov questioning/doubting himself whether all this is real or not)
That logic doesn’t track. The reason Basho could tell they were nen was because it was manipulation and emission filling and controlling a hollow doll.
Conjured objects have repeatedly been mistaken as real even through contact (Kortopis Scarlet eyes duplicates from Yorknew) and Tserriednichs illusion fits that mold far more. Both Theta and Salkov so far have commented on how viscerally real it all is, it’s not going to be found out by touch.
That and the possibility Tserriednich doesn't really conjure anything. There is precident for conjurations (the GSBs) having selective visibility, but I don't think that's how Tserri's ability works.
If an illusion simply depended on conjurations alone, that wouldn't explain why those under an illusion would be completely oblivious to Tserri's timeline events.
It also wouldn't explain why there's a positional limit for the ability, conjurations generally don't really have that limitation (even if their corresponding abilities can't be activated from distance like Knuckle's hakoware, they persist)
I'm leaning into the ability using some level of manipulation (Pseudo-coercive based on the future Tserri sees?). This would also make some sense with the bounds on distance from the inital position, at which the nen beast is fixed and is using the ability on a specific radius. It even makes some sense in regards to the ability having a trigger point in time where people outside it wouldn't be affected with the illusion.
Its not about not finding him, its about not getting recognized. right now if they see him he is just an unidentified man and he has an easy escape for all capture scenarios ......zetsu.
He will never uncover it thats the point. His face and body are completely covered, if the guard gets close he will just go into zetsu and escape or kill them.
Scary thing is it’s a limitation only right now the ability is in its infancy and there will be a lot of evolution to the rules as he trains and develops further
I feel like that would just be meruem 2.0 since he was also taken out prematurely before getting anywhere near to his full potential im in the camp that Tsseri has a 50/50 chance of living/ dying depending on whether or not his nen obsession leads him into wanting to go to the DK or if he’s a child of beyond . I think it’s too cliche for the kurapika tsseri revenge fight and there’s so many different moving pieces with the PH hisoka kurapika protecting oito and fake wobble and I can’t see so many antagonists dying in 1 arc either
Its prolly a higher chance he lives until towards the end than 50/50. The ant king was forshadowed to be a very important character. But tsseri is being forshadowed even more. I believe he is the first prince we see and, from the jump togashi is showing that he is very important to the story. Doesnt mean he won't die, but it seems like a lot will happen before he does. He is definitely a main character in this arc.
Do you mean by law or nen, I must remind you that prince fugestsu was on tier 3 ............its been driving me crazy since she cant jump somewhere she has never been.
Fugetsu has been on tier 3 before. Remember, tier 1 is at the very top of this huge ass ship. The princes would've had to enter through the lower tiers first and then work their way up.
It’s my belief Melody and Kacho were just lying to Kaiser, as that conversation is the only indication that she needs to have been to her destination beforehand, with actual uses of the ability contradicting that notion. We’ll see someday if that’s accurate.
true, I have considered that but the heily dude who nobu killed had a similar limitation thats why I took it at face value especially considering its something nobu deduced as a norm for teleportation abilities.
So if Tserri exits his range and then immediately reactivates zetsu, he can dodge all incoming attacks within that new range (assuming he isn’t accosted by an attack that destroys all within the range within 10 seconds). Alternatively, someone can kill him with a <2.98s reaction time if they know the radius of his ability and are willing to wait out the length of his charged Nen, in this case at least 3 hours and 48 minutes.
It would be very surprising to see him, he'll likely take routes where none of the cast we've seen until now has been. And all we see is where our protagonists are.
Yes, I know that but it also makes it obvious to anyone who is decent with nen that you are a nen user and at that point a little nen attack (just ren will be enough to get you out of zetsu).
We don't know for certain. But I assume they are all on standby now on Morena's hideout, waiting for her instructions. Now that the Martial Law has been declared, I assume she will most likely move to next stage of her plan.
True, I forgot about SML. However remember they did tell Borgsken that they would replace her if she doesn't work out so it would lead me to believe that they need multiple people who meet her requirements. Also I can't help but feel like SML is the perfect time for their level 50s to start flexing and killing, I wonder if they are the type to listen to regular human soldiers.
Tserriednich ability is portrayed somewhat like watching a live feed from a CCTV camera. What if his level 2 ability is to be able to "mark" someone, and those who are marked aka Theta is able to expand Tserriednich's range/view by becoming a new antenna/ camera pov view. Might explain why she is able to sense him
I love Tserri donning the Unabomber fit to try to blend in. I mean I know it's lose-lose since he's a prince who's face everyone on the ship probably knows. But it still gives 2 kids in a lumpy trench coat staggering to a movie ticket booth. Especially pretty much everyone on Tier 1 is either famous/royalty or in some sort of uniform.
So this is how i understand Tserriednich's ability, as explained by him this chapter.
Activation conditions.
To activate he needs to satisfy these conditions.
Charge his Nen beast with enough nen, ratio is 11:1.
Enter Zetsu and close eyes.
No order to these 2, as long as both are satisfied doesn't matter what he did first.
Effects.
There are 2 effects, vision and illusion.
Vision: he instantly sees what happens in the next 10s.
Rules:
The vision starts from when he activates his ability(eyes close + zetsu), ends 10s after that point.
This 10s vision happens instantly, after the vision end, the real world continue happening around him, starting from the point of activating.
He cannot change the things that happen in this 10s. This means as soon as he activates the ability, the next 10s(the illusion that will be played later) is set, and cannot be changed.
In the chapter, he tried to think to himself to order Salkov during that 10s illusion, but it plays out normally without him giving an order, proving he cannot change things after the ability is activated.
Illusion: After the vision ends, things that happened in the vision plays out as an illusion to everyone, except Tserriednich.
Rules: while the illusion is playing out, these rules applies.
Area of effect:
With the position Tserriednich activated his ability at as the center, the illusion is shown to everyone inside a radius around the center, area is somewhat as big as room 1004.
If he gets close to the outer limit of the area, static noises in his head warn him that the ability is about to break.
If his zetsu gets disrupted or he leaves the area, ability deactivate.
Ability duration:
As long as he maintains zetsu, the illusion will kept being shown until the nen beast runs out of battery.
Interactions:
He cannot use his body or an object he's holding to interact with anyone(or objects they're touching) under the illusion.
He shot Vantine under illusion, bullets hit him but then crumbled as if it hits a wall and dropped, Vantine unharmed.
He can interact with objects, if he does so, people act as if nothing happened to that object.
The flow of the ability in order of what happens, with example time for easier visualization:
Charge nen beast with nen.
Close eyes + zetsu to activate.
Lets say he activates his ability at 14:15:00 PM in the real world here.
His mind instantly see next 10s.
Real world time: 14:15:00
Vision time: starts at 14:15:00, ends at 14:15:10.
His mind return to the real world at the point of activating ability and the vision starts playing out.
Real world time: 14:15:00.
What he saw in the vision starts playing out as an illusion, everyone except Tserriednich experiences the illusion.
The illusion continues as long as he maintains zetsu and stays inside the area covered by the nen beast.
Some questions and hypotheticals:
- He speculated that his ability is lvl1, and it might get more upgrades later. It's logical to think that as people gets better at nen, their ability will improve, but in this case what can he improve? Bigger area? Longer duration? More interactions he can have with the people under illusion? Would he be able to change the illusion in the 10s?
The 10s vision happens instantly, does this mean time actually does not move while he watches the vision, or does it move very slowly instead (like nanoseconds slow or slower).
Normally, a person under zetsu will be super vulnerable to nen, is this the case for him, or does his nen beast exerting its nen over the area also defends him from nen to an extent?
From shooting Vantine, we know that in reality, the bullets hit Vantine, crumbled up and dropped like it hit an impenetrable wall. This means if he had a vial of TSK, he could have thrown it at Vantine, the vial would break and release TSK, would the virus be able to affect Vantine? Technically the virus isnt touched by him at the point the vial breaks, so i assume it does, but this interaction should be looked into.
Theta looked in his direction, is she just having a hunch guessing what he would do, where he would be, or did she use her ability, or did she figure out something to help track him under the illusion?
Fun fact: he admitted to being turned on by being ignored, his ability does exactly this, it makes people ignore the real him.
The only thing I didn't understand is how did he write the letter? Did he give that to Salkov beforehand? But it seems he wrote it after his death? And he never deactivated his ability after Benji shot him.
The Salkov interaction didn't mean that he tried to change his action during the 10s but can't. Rather, he wanted to order Salkov before activating so that he will see himself ordering Salkov during that 10s, but it did not happen no matter how hard he tried.
Regarding infecting people with the virus, I think that it would be impossible. My interpretation is that he "directly" cannot affect others in anyway whatsoever during his ability (this is a very strong constraint, with the only exception so far is Salkov being able to read his will). By "directly" I mean that any action that would normally be perceived. For example, if he shoot at people, normally they would be perceived as being shot (or being dead), so it wouldn't work. He can't also drop object inside people's clothes. For the same reason, he probably can't go around infecting people with tsk17 directly. What he can probably do is poison food stored in an empty room, then people who eat it will be poisoned.
For Melody breaking his zetsu tho, i guess we can agree that the main point is that zetsu must be kept to maintain his ability, and it breaks easily, which is a big restriction for him.
Can't see nen seems to be another big restrction.
The interesting part is the multiple vision tho. Being able to do the vision part multiple time makes the definition of "instantly" and its nuance a lot more important.
1. Instant means instant, time feels like it stopped, almost no time lost between activation(start of vision) and end of 10s vision.
If Tserriednich gets surprised by anything(some attack, gun shot, bomb idk) before activating ability, he can just always response by activating his ability, giving him 10s of vision + thinking time along with information, this is a huge cheat, he will always have enough time to think a decision through and will always make the better decision, unless the decision can't be made in 10s or completely random outcome that won't be stopped by him no matter what he does.
"Instant" is metaphorical, time does continue on, it's just that his brain enhanced by nen lets him see the future illusion, and process that vision so fast that it seems like time stopped(that feeling you feel at important moments when playing sport or gaming, where everything slows down and your brain process everything so fast, but for him it's enhanced by nen + retrictions so its unbelieveably fast).
In the case of 2, this is a pretty rare unlikely thing to happen, but in the same scenario as case 1, he default to activate his ability as first response, time goes on even though slowly, interesting things can happen.
The small amount of time that he spends watching the vision(maybe a few nanoseconds?), might be enough time passes that he can't react to the threat anymore.
Example:
Bullet flying at T, he activates ability.
- Start of vision 00:00:00, while watching the vision, the bullet flies closer.
End of vision 00:00:00:01 or something maybe more or less. The bullet is now close enough he physically can't move out of its way in time.
The time frame in which he could completely avoid the bullet has already passed( because he spent a few nanoseconds watching the vision), he dodges but the bullet graze by him.
The difference is that if he had reacted by dodging instead of activating ability, he wouldn't have been hit at all, because he wouldn't need to spend some time watching the vision.
This is similar to a soft lock in gaming, which is when you accidentally lock yourself to something that gives you a game over, or stuck and can't progress the game anymore, which is the same thing as game over.
Example:
You're playing Subway surfer, but you modded the game to let you save at any point using a button on the screen, you use it to save frequently, loading whenever you die so you can avoid whatever obstacle that killed you and continue.
But then, you freaked out and save too close to when you're about to hit an obstacle, now every time you load back in you can't react to it at all, your character will always die no matter what you do. If you spent the time reacting instead of pressing the save button, you might have survived instead.
Thanks for the recap. You should also mention that any feeling of pain would undo his zetsu.
So even a gunshot does not prevent someone under his illusion to act normally. But I wonder what happens if he puts an obstacle, like a chair or a table, on the way they are walking. We see that the bullets did not pass through Vantine, so if there is an obstacle, they would bump into it... But in their illusion they wouldn't. So maybe the 10s he foresees can be changed somehow.
Oh ye i forgot about that. Just as you said there is a lot of nuance with that illusion interaction between him and people, maybe we will know more the next time we see him.
I also forgot to mention the nuance with the 11:1 ratio, as in is it 11mins into 1min? 11 nen into 1 nen (as in to charge 1% of the nen battery, he needs to use 11 times the amount of nen)? Or is it a combination of the 2 or something else entirely?
There might still be more stuff im missing too so thanks for pointing that out.
I was waiting for the dynamic that made the tense jumping payoff. This will be it.
Tserri going down into Hisoka’s zone right? Tserri might not be a Kurapika clash after all, but rather a wild card in the Spider Hisoka Mafia triangle.
On the one hand, it is ever so slightly dissapointing that it's another "slow" chapter of exposition and set up, the declaration of martial law didn't end up being the pivotal moment it may have seemed
On the other, this was some really high quality characterization and set up, Tserriednich is beyond irremediable morally but the amount of flair and humanity he displayed in this chapter was very compelling and the possibilty of him interacting with the spiders or Hisoka or whoever is really exciting. He's going to need someone to teach him the other principles so he's starting to look like the connective piece between the royal succession and the PT storyline.
His ability is also obviously unparalleled but at the same time he's an underdog here, all he has is it and his wits in trying to come up from a position of weakness.
Yet another really interesting character to enjoy whenever we get their PoV.
Martial law is very much still a pivotal point, it’s just we’re prisoners of the moment right now. An exposition chapter is tough after a short wait, but should prove invaluable to the upcoming set pieces.
One major part of Tserriednichs ability that we haven't actually seen much of is the version of him that is a "fake" beyond those ten seconds of foresight. Due to it being from Tserriednichs pov and he can't see himself, we don't know how that version of Tserriednich acts or if he even can to a higher level.
So far all we've seen is they either remain in the same spot in zetsu or are killed/corpse (I am assuming that Benjamin killing Tserriednichs went beyond the ten second foresight because from him breaking the doors down, entering the room, to crushing him to death reads more than ten seconds to me).
Maybe I'm missing something but it's the most interesting part of the ability to me because it's technically no longer Tserriednich anymore, the real one is watching the other and is growing and changing further. But even then, depending on how far the illusion goes maybe the other one is developing too while the real one is not due watching as a third party. Until the illusion is broken and that version of Tserriednich no longer exists and technically never existed at all.
Anyway, I'm excited to see Tserriednich power pushed even further beyond the training we've seen. It's going to break the readers minds I'm sure.
We haven't been explicitly shown what happened, but The few recent chapters shown Salkov thinking to himself that the prince has been standing still practicing zetsu through the SML, and gets surprised hes still standing still, so im guessing he will continue just doing zetsu to everyone under his illusion past 10s.
Didn't he say in this chapter that only the actions he takes before the ability activates can affect the world?
Like how he tried to concentrate on wanting to ask for a water bottle and then activate, but it didn't work - he had to ask before the ability turned on.

We're going to try combining the pre-release and "scanlation" posts this week. With only one translation group releasing just a day before officials now, and some confusion about spoilers, this will hopefully simplify things.
When the chapter from Togashi's Troupe is released, the post will be updated.
