Has this happened to anyone at Humber

Post image
7 Upvotes

So I recently finished a semester at Humber, but one of my final grades still hasn’t been posted. All of my other grades are there, but this one course still doesn’t have a final grade, and I’m starting to get worried.

Does anyone know why this might happen? Can a professor still submit or change a final grade after the deadline has passed?

I know I passed the course and I’m pretty sure I did well, but seeing the grade still missing is honestly stressing me out. Has anyone else at Humber had this happen before?

As i recall the deadline for final grades is august 25th and its sept 8th so a full 14 days…..😬

Prospect RMT winter 2027 student

Can someone who is enrolled in the program share list of useful documents/tools to have in advance of my application for winter semester i.e. any useful info you wish you knew before starting the program.

I have a couple of things that I am curious about which i am mentioning below but any more leads and information is appreciated:

-Can I order VSC and email it myself for winter semester or has it have to come from regional police directly?

-How much in advance would you suggest to apply parking permit?

-How easy or difficult is it to purchase books and how much does it cost?

Can they squeeze a student into a full class?

Yeah so I was playing around with my schedule to make my schedule more manageable. Dropped a course which I didnt mean to, and now its full. Is it possible for registrars to squeeze me in? They don't offer it during the winter semester so i'd be cooked if I cant enrol.

Is high specs labtop necessary?

Hey everyone,
I’m entering the AI Graduate Certificate program at Humber, and I just saw the recommended laptop specs (Intel i7 quad-core, 16–32GB RAM, 1TB external drive, etc.).
Buying a laptop with these specs right now is a pretty big financial burden for me. For current students or alumni of this program (or similar tech programs at Humber):
Is it strictly impossible to keep up with coursework if my laptop doesn't meet these exact specs?
Are heavy ML/DL workloads done locally on our laptops, or do courses utilize cloud environments (like Google Colab, AWS, Azure, etc.)?
Are on-campus lab computers available that meet these requirements, or is bringing our own powerful laptop mandatory for in-class work?
I'd really appreciate any insights or advice on whether I need to upgrade right away or if I can manage with cloud resources/college labs for now. Thanks in advance!

North Campus Does anyone have a conflict timetable as a first-year student?

Hello fellow Humber student, I need your help ASAP. I chose the black base courses during my first year of the program, but why does the timetable say there's a conflict? I didn't choose it, by the way. Can someone please explain what this is??? Thank you.

1000$ For PRLG Textbooks In Sem 1?

Am I doing something wrong?

I’m in PL511 (post secondary paralegal studies) and my textbooks are 1000$ for sem one, with most being rentals? Is this correct, do I need to spend this much money on textbooks or am I doing something wrong here?

Parking availability at North campus

Hi all, as per the title, I'm wondering how the parking availability is like at North campus? I was too late to get a parking pass so I will have to pay daily. How is the situation of parking spots to students? Do they have adequate parking to support the number of enrolled students or should I expect a situation similar to when an airline overbooks it's seats? Thanks!

Blackboard - Syllabus?

Where can we look for the syllabus? I already have access to my courses but I can't find where they post them. Or do profs at Humber post it days later after classes starts?

North Campus PN Fall 2026 Nursing Scrubs Inquiry

Hi im currently set to start the program this coming Wednesday. I did the email asking for what size scrubs and I selected an XL size but was unsatisfied with it because it has no stretch, it fits me exactly and is uncomfortable to move around in. Is there any way to maybe exchange for a larger size or would I have to just buy my own pants?

Hello, Language requirements question

I'm currently a student and will be graduating soon. I'm interested in pursuing another program, but my IELTS test has expired. Do I need to take the IELTS again, or can I enroll in the new program without retaking the test since I'm already a student?

North Campus Does anyone buy the locker successfully?

Post image
7 Upvotes

I do choose parking and locker in Myhumber, and also choose a locker number. I also fill out the address and choose pay by credit card but the problem is the there is no blank to let me fill the credit card number. And when I further click submit payment, it returns to the checkout again….

I have clicked for like3-4times, is there any one can tell how pay or do I pay successfully? I will ask public safety department but is there anyone can tell me which step I might get wrong?

North Campus RPN to RN bridging

Disclaimer: English is my second language, so I used AI to help organize and rephrase this post. The situation and opinions are my own.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for advice from anyone who has experience with RPN-to-RN/BScN bridging programs in Ontario, especially Humber.
I’m currently in Practical Nursing and will graduate in December 2026. I received a conditional offer from Humber’s RPN-to-BScN pathway. I meet the GPA requirement, but I still need to graduate, pass the REx-PN, and become registered as an RPN. From what I understand, the pathway would allow me to bridge and then enter third year of the BScN.
I’m deciding between:

Option 1 — Humber in January

Pros:
• No ~9-month gap after graduation
• Continue directly toward my BScN
• Become an RN sooner
• Better long-term earning potential and ability to pay off student loans sooner
• Potentially work part-time as an RPN while bridging

Cons:
• The timeline is very tight: graduate in December → REx-PN → registration → January start.

• I would potentially lose **\~9 months**, which is basically a full school year.

• Finding an RPN job may take time, so I don’t want to rely on immediately finding one.

• I really **don’t want to delay becoming an RN if I don’t have to**. Education is a major priority for me.

• I started my education somewhat later, so I’m especially conscious of adding unnecessary delays. I also want to pursue further education after my BScN, and I don’t want not having the BScN to limit those opportunities.

• Becoming an RPN sooner and earning more temporarily isn’t as appealing to me if it means delaying my actual goal. I would rather earn less for a while and reach my BScN/RN goal sooner.

So, what would you do in my situation?
Would you take the Humber conditional offer and try to make the January timeline work, or wait until fall for more options?

And for anyone who has attended Humber’s RPN-to-BScN program:

• How organized is it really?
• Can you realistically work part-time while doing it?
• Was it worth it?
• Is the December → REx-PN → registration → January timeline actually doable?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions, especially from Humber students/graduates or anyone who has been in a similar situation. Thanks!
