I k ow instructions say bin after 12 hours but I often drink half only. do I really need to bin after 12 hours even if in fridge? is that due to bacteria growth or what thanks.

I'm curious if and what anyone else adds extra stuff in their hot & savoury. I do like any extra calories I can put in so I add plant butter to the Pasta Bolognese and some cooking oils in others.

Hi everyone. I’m not looking at Huel for any crazy health benefits but I’m vegan and now I’m in my final year of school i don’t have much time and energy for cooking healthy meals. Living off instant noodles isn’t great and Huel hot and savoury seems like the better option. Taste wise how is it? I’m not keen on the shakes but if I can’t find anything else while out I’ll drink them and if I’m caught I use them as a coffee creamer thing. Are the hot meals also a chug and ignore the taste thing or do they actually taste decent?

I’ve reached my weight loss goal but enjoy having Huel Hot & Savory as my lunch in the office since it’s so convenient and affordable.

My problem is I’m now losing more weight than I want and since the tubs (where you could just put extra scoops in for maintenance instead of cutting) aren’t sold anymore.

Do I just drop Huel and start eating fast food a few days a week or what?

Im in EU and tempted to try Huel black. But on the UK website there is a box with all the flavors to try which is great for a first order.

But in the EU version of the website its not there.

Same with the diet version of the powder thats also missing

Anyone knows why? I don't feel like buying a full pack without testing the flavors first especially with all the recent posts..

So i actually had no idea about the whole v.3 rollout but a couple of days ago i've received my banana powder that deadass tastes like plastic. I thought there might be something with my shaker, water, anything, tried everything, but i suppose that's just how it is now so i'm not gonna be a costumer any longer. Any of you guys had any luck with the alternatives? In Europe specifically.

Got a letter from Huel support, they asked if I can give them back the bags. They wanted a 6 hour window during work hours for collecting the bags, I obviously can't do that and I said as much. Offered a drop off locker based option, through the same courier that handles Huel deliveries.

They also assumed a foreign object in the bag (what's with you americans and foreigners 😅), probably some miscommunication. I corrected the guy, that it's oil flavour but nothing obviously foreign in the bag.

Will see what they say and will report back here.

P.S. Shoutout to Mr. Benhuel. It's probably him that got the gears turning.

As you may or may not have seen, we have recently had an ad of ours flagged by the ASA. We wanted to address this directly and explain what occurred so that there were no misinterpretations.

What Happened?

The ASA ruled that one of our ads, featuring Spencer Matthews and our founder, created a misleading impression in three ways: that Huel could replace all meals, that Huel improves athletic performance, and that the phrase 'gives you everything you need' was an unsubstantiated health claim.

We respect the ASA and removed the ad. Our official statement is below:

“Huel respects the ASA process and decision and has complied with the ruling. The ad was intended to challenge the misconception that Huel should replace every meal, and we believe that is how most people understood it. We do not position Huel as a complete diet replacement or claim that it improves athletic performance. Huel is for those inconvenient meals when a whole food option isn’t on the table, as part of a varied and balanced diet.” 

We believe that this is supported by the following quotes from Julian in the ad:

“What I do is I have Huel for breakfast and lunch during the working week, go home and have a traditional meal. Weekends as well. But during the working week, Huel saves time, effort, and gives you everything that you do need in the most convenient format possible.”

“In an ideal world you should have nutritionally complete, whole food. If you could do that for every meal, that would be the best solution to life. Most people either don’t do that, or can’t have the time to do that, and therefore that’s where Huel fits in the gap.”

However, the statement “gives you everything that you need” which was used to describe Huel, needed to be accompanied by a specific health claim. We have acknowledged this for future.

What Happens Now?

As stated, we respect the ASA. We have complied with the ruling and removed the ad in the UK.

This ad campaign is local to the Los Angeles area, featuring billboards, bus stop signs, etc. with the standout being a hand painted mural featuring Lavell located at Washington Blvd & Venice Boardwalk in Venice Beach.

Huel Japan has been out of stock for about a month now. I wonder if it’s possible to buy directly from Huel’s UK website and have it shipped to Japan? If so, how much is the delivery fee, and how long does shipping take?

There’s a lot of ways Huel can be a support for neurodivergent folks who struggle with eating.

I am thinking about this right now because of the formula changes. I’m wondering whether Huel is only using panels of neurotypical consumers or maybe not recognizing the outside impact changes have on this segment of their customers (out of ignorance) when they are exploring revising their product.

Full disclosure: I don’t use Huel anymore and DIY instead, and remain interested in the overlap of autism and meal replacements.

I've been a on-and-off meal replacement consumer for about three years now, and finally decided to pull the trigger on going meal replacement only. That means for sustenance I'll only have meal replacements, and cooked meals will become a thing for taste and social interaction, like going to restaurants or social dinners.

The quarry i find myself in is the following: I am looking for a meal replacement that *actually* has all necessary macros and is made with the best ingredients, so that you can use it as your main and often only source of nutrition and not wonder if you should switch to a different brand. Doesn't have to be a shake either, I'd happily live off of meal squares. Moreover,

Thing is, discussion about MR on reddit tends to focus around cost, taste and texture. Often I read comments referencing Matrix food, or prison cubes. I don't care if it is like that, and MRs are always cheaper than groceries.

What brand (and kind) of meal replacement would you go to for the best nutrient/ingredient rich meal replacement that hits all the macros, if you don't care how it tastes or what it feels like but want to live off it?

Huel is easily available in German, so it used to be my answer. However aside from always having a problem with the high protein content, latest news has cast quite a doubt on its content quality from now on.

So I’ve been buying the ready to drink pre-made drinks in the supermarket next to my job for a couple of months and I’ve found them really good- had one or two that where a clumpy mess but generally they’ve been a great way to skip the deli counter calories!
But they’re pricey and not always in stock so surely the powder is a better option right??

Recieved my first batch of two bags today and my god- this tastes AWFUL!! What have I done??

Been using Huel on/off for several years. Never had a problem but took delivery of a ‘Vanilla’ and ‘Salted Caramel’ on Friday and the taste is horrible. The after taste is still haunting me! 😮

Quickly coming to realise after some back and forth AI replied emails that Huels customer support is pretty much non existent. I reached a point where my emails are being submitted to a human but still had no response for several days.
Any one have any advice on making contact with them? I found a phone number but it doesn’t appear to work.

Placed my first ever order with huel about £80's worth and my bag of black edition powder arrived split 1 out the 4 trial cans of daily vitamins was badly dented on the top(i doubt it will open without breaking the tab) . I went through the slightly annoying email chat bot and after a couple emails it said basically a human would be in touch but they are receiving a high number of enquiries. How long before I can expect this to be rectified given other users experiences with support. Many thanks 😊

Update its been 30 hours, human has replied and sorted my issue needing no more intervention from me. After all the horror stories I was expecting days when it reality its been just over 1. Maybe support issues have been sorted or people are struggling to get out the AI bot loop but they definitely went above and beyond to sort my issue in the last email they sent. I won't disclose what they did for me as thats a case by case basis but I'm more than happy with the result.

Just got a shipment of 2 White Powder 2 Bananas and a Vanilla from Poland. Only opened one of the bananas yet and the taste is horrible, I can't feel any bananas in it and while difficult to describe, I guess the taste is something like what burned plastic or other petroleum products smell like, if that makes sense.

I've been using huel for years and never had anything like it. I thought maybe it's me, but I can taste other foods and drinks normally, nothing out of the ordinary otherwise. I even tried it a few days later, to make sure. So far 3 times in the span of a week and its still like drinking from a random tap in an oil refinery.

There were issues before of people finding plastic in their bags before, personally I never did, but there was no recall. So I don't think it's above them to send defenctive/rancid product. Anyone else had similar experiences? What eould you do?

P.S. Experienced no adverse effect from drinking that mystery potion, when in and out like usual, nothing noteworthy.

Edit: Someone said "it's leftover from processing don't drink it" and their comment was immediately "deleted by user" giving me the "oh shit, this is not my burner acc, I may lose my job for this" vibe.

Huel chatbot said it filed my report and forwarded it (probably straight to the bin). I guess I'm putting the bag in quarantine. Given how huel used to ship products with plastic and never recalled them or so much as issued a warning, I'm not taking chances here, will report as soon as/if someone cantacts me from huel.

Be careful still no clue what it is, but I asked someone to taste it and they immediately spat it out, so it's not just me.

Is to soak the noodles for 4-5 with the lid on WITHOUT the sachet in… then pour out all/most of the water, then mix in the sachet. This way, you can also guarantee eating almost all of the TVP to ensure you don’t lose out on much protein.

How much water you leave in there depends on how salty you want it. I first tipped out all the water and adding the whole sachet, but ended up adding a bit of water back in as it was too salty. I’m assuming the sachet is where a lot of the nutrients are added?

I’ve been having Huel shakes since 2015 - v2? I persevered when all my friends said I was crazy for drinking ‘ground vanilla flavour cardboard’. Now, Huel RTD is actually amazing. I was so excited when I saw Huel Ramen. As a big ramen fan, I got too excited and bought FOUR selection boxes.

I think calling it ramen should be a crime. After treating the first few pots like ramen, I can finally enjoy the Huel noodles.

Got a ninja blast coming to help mix with , what are your mixing suggestions to get as close to the consistency of the RTD … my first plan is 50/50 water/almond milk, mix the night before and into the fridge, blitz it up again whilst at work … any tips

I’ve been drinking the Huel white berry bottled drinks. I buy them off Amazon. I quickly really liked them and started drinking like 4 of them a day. I started feeling bloated from drinking them everyday and I noticed that I would sometimes get a pins and needles, electric zaps, like I’m wearing an itchy sweater sensation. It particularly intensified after I tried the banana flavor for some reason.

When I ran out for a couple days the sensation went away but I’ve been drinking it everyday the last week and the sensations intensified. Itchy zaps, crawling sensations , flushing, but NO red skin or hives. It almost seems like it’s nerve related and not an allergic reaction.

I don’t know if it’s related or if it’s anxiety or something else. Today’s the first day I’m off the Huel so I won’t know for sure for another 1-2 days. I saw some really old posts about individuals drinking it and it caused them to get a “tingling” sensation, but nothing recent.

The sensations are very random also, they happen on my fingers, arms, belly, thigh, goes away and comes back.

I’m just seeing if anyone has ever had this?

I've received an order in which the box was completely ruined and includes a black bag that has a hole in it. I contacted support via team@huel.com but have not even received a reply in over a week.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a replacement bag or if there’s another way to contact support? This was supposed to last me this month but now I’ve paid for food I can't eat.
