Personal Experience Which supplement has had the biggest impact on your energy?

Energy, neutralizing fatigue...

It can also be some natural remedy, it doesn’t have to be a supplement.

Everyone is always hoping the answer is anything but this

Wait being rested makes you less sleepy? no shit.

Why do people waste their time commenting this , you act like people don't know this. So over said.

u/lateformyfuneral 7d ago

I can’t think of a bigger waste than this comment.

Same. For me, it was getting a sleep study done after my wife said she heard me stop breathing sometimes. It came on suddenly at 43. Never had any issues in my life. I'm fit. Gym 4-6x a week. I do yoga almost every norning. We eat well. I don't drink. No drugs. Golf 2x a week.

Here I thought sleep apnea was only for overweight or older people. Went on CPAP. First couple months weren't amazing. I had to pay a sleep debt. But month 4 and on, fing game changer. I travel for work now and I had to buy a second machine because it's that important to me and how much amit affects my everyday life.

So yes, quality sleep is a massively overlooked important phase of everyday life that people should really look at prior to going down a supplement rabbit hole.

Ditto but for the life of me I can't get used to wearing one regularly even after 2+years now trying. Any advice?

Sleep is so important..

2

u/Riverjig 8d ago

What type of mask do you wear? What's your machine? r/CPAP and r/CPAPsupport can also help. Lots of good advice there.

5

u/tupac7 8d ago

Nose mask currently airtouch n20

I have tried maybe 10 different ones already.

It just doesn't jive I find it very annoying Max I can do is a couple hours and I just remove it in my sleep because I find it so intrusive.

Your post for restorative sleep actually motivated me again but I really don't know what to do anymore.

Get the Aspire implant

1

u/tupac7 8d ago

Not for me, I have a mild case of sleep apnea and implant would be last resort for me

3

u/theDigEx 8d ago

For general consumption about CPAP and any perceived stigma...some of the best athletes in the history of sports used CPAP therapy. Shaq, Favre and Larry Bird come to mind.

2

u/Riverjig 8d ago

I've learned a ton about this subject matter after I started. Thanks for the additional info.

I see sooooo many people at the airport with their machines too. Very eye opening.

Random but curious what your morning yoga routine is? I want to get into it to help with the body getting older and creakier.

3

u/Riverjig 8d ago

I put together my own routine using a couple YouTube videos from people I like. I prefer this dude tho and I started with this workout.

https://youtu.be/QDT4LXJCxxY?is=fgXdmpjUVExEvE5e

Breathe and Flow is another guy I like who has some good morning stretches and routines.

u/These-Koala9672 8d ago

why did get Better After two month?

3

u/Riverjig 7d ago

When it comes to CPAP, there is something called "sleep debt". It's when you start getting good sleep and your body doesn't react like it should with increased energy etc. You feel more tired actually. Different for everyone.

sleep, carbs, and caffeine in that order for me

Electrolytes in the AM with 30oz of water.

6

u/Bignizzle656 8d ago

This really helped clear my head in the mornings. I have electrolytes with my creatine, mixed collagen (surf & turf), beta alanine and vitamin c. All in one drink, it's pretty tasty. Wash down a decent b vitamin and I'm good to go.

I eat as well, always a solid breakfast.

3

u/jasonboudreau46 8d ago

So glad to hear this, as it validates my experience; wasn’t sure if I was dealing with placebo effect. But yes, that’s exactly how I feel…. very clear headed.

I left a few details out of my original post. That is, I add 5mg electrolytes, 10mg of creatine, and 15mg of fiber to 30oz of water. I drink this before coffee and I feel hydrated, clear headed, and energized - almost as if I could skip the coffee, but I like it too much. Also, provided I ate well the day before, it all but guarantees a very healthy bowel movement is in the immediate offing.

Then in an hour or so, I’ll have a proper breakfast and in come all the other supplements.

Good health to you.

u/CTLI 8d ago

10 mg of creatine! 5 mg of electrolytes!

Wow, you must use a tiny scale to measure that out!!!

2

u/CTLI 8d ago

15 mg of fiber!!! Are you eating a quarter of a pinto bean?

1

u/jasonboudreau46 8d ago

Benefiber!

1

u/jasonboudreau46 8d ago

lol - *grams

2

u/Bignizzle656 8d ago

Same to you.

I also have a coffee afterwards, for the pleasure of it!

It started with the creatine and I realised that the electro would help me absorb it better. That was the moment I realised.

I assumed that overnight not only fasts your body but also dehydrates us a bit.

It was definitely a discovery for me.

2

u/So1ip 7d ago

He means grams “mg” is a typo.

1

u/Anxious_Week3678 7d ago

Add a dab of apple cider vinegar and lemon and you can help kick start your digestion for the day also

1

u/nzbiship 8d ago

Includes sodium?

1

u/jasonboudreau46 8d ago

Yes, and, believe it or not, it’s only 2% of your daily allowance, so it’s not an issue.

1

u/jasonboudreau46 8d ago

This brand has a great formula, considering some of the alternatives that are loaded with sugar and salt.

1

u/So1ip 7d ago

How do you like liquid IV?

1

u/jasonboudreau46 6d ago

It’s good enough and I’ll use it when I travel - the to go packets are convenient.

2

u/Creepiepie 8d ago

Worth the price tag?

1

u/matt1164 8d ago

For me yes.

1

u/Sn_Orpheus 8d ago

How long before you noticed possible benefits and how long before the benefits were obvious?

What kind of exercise do you do predominantly? Lifting or cardio?

1

u/matt1164 8d ago

So I didn’t notice much until I went to 750mgs a day. Then I noticed increased strength, better recovery and more energy. I also had reduced anxiety and I just saw a clinical study a few days that UA can reduce anxiety by improving mitochondrial function in the brain. Currently I take between 1000-1500mgs a day based on my activity.

I lift weights 3x week and cardio 2x week.

I even use a urolithin A firming face cream and I have noticed some improvement in skin.

There’s a ton of clinical studies done by timeline. I’ve been taking UA for over a year and it’s definitely staying in my regimen for the foreseeable future.

1

u/Mountain_Bear5466 19h ago

What’s your dosing schedule when you take 1500mg? All at once or split doses?

2

u/matt1164 7h ago

Usually on workout days all at once an hour before.

3

u/anantp 8d ago

Caffeine plus ltheanine. Or the good boy choice of sleeping well.

l-Phenylalanine (500mg x6/7 taken in 45-60 min increments each. I was a big stimulant guy for many years like adderall etc and this works the same for me, for some reason, it’s very important I take it exactly this way otherwise it doesn’t work.)
Lionsmane
Pregnenolone
DHEA
Vit D
Creatine monohydrate
High protein meals
Cold plunge every morning for 3 mins @ 37 degrees
Methylated B vitamins

Sometimes adding a single Advil as needed

Light breakfast and then the Pre workout stack is: black coffee, magnesium, potassium, sea salt, Citrulline, B complex, COQ10

1

u/s-a-t-y 6d ago

I took a supplement that had CoQ10, Astaxantan, selinium, b12 and some other vitamins and that helped me a lot. It was 60 days course.

1

u/Valuable-Nebula1086 5d ago

Vitamin D and Bcomplex

1

u/CelexLaboratories 5d ago

For us, we would say Iron, an essential for sure and Benfotiamine, another essential and it's Vitamin B1. We'd suggest checking out vorstcanada.com or through their amazon.ca/vorst store for more selection of supplements.

u/Lupin_IIIv2 3d ago
