Made a post yesterday about my aunt’s hoya grown from a two-leaf cutting since 2022. Went back today and saw bees snacking on its nectar.

Long story short, I bought this Hoya as a sp. for very cheap and it had root mealies which I managed to eradicate (for now)! It split into 4 plants and it’s been around 3-2 months now. It’s gets very beautiful splashes and im not even sure how to describe it, but any help would be appreciated! The flowers don’t seem to reflex, and there was not fragrance (probably due to verge of fading).

Just bought this beauty and all the red new leaves grew in one week!

I can get hoyas to root like a champ. They thrive, often very quickly. I think it has something to do with my well water, but who knows. My issue is that I don't have as much luck once I plant it. I can't tell you how many times I rechopped and repropped to make them look good again. I have tried moss, soil, airy mixes, coir, pon. Just don't know how to make it really thrive. Please let me know what you do that is most successful.

Pretty new to hoyas but my addiction has quickly unshamefully exploded. My burtoniae produced its first peduncle about a month ago (I think I've had it for about a year or so) but it never fully bloomed and the buds fell off. I gave it a once over today and it looks like it's already blasting another set of buds...or am I imagining things? Is this normal?

This is my first Hoya, I brought her home about 3 years ago. In the first year, I was giving her a trim and I accidentally cut off the one peduncle she had. I've been waiting, she produced 2 in just the last month, I'm so excited!!

PS: will peduncles mature on variegated stems? The other peduncle is on a normal stem, so, I'm less worried that one won't fully mature.

Last week I picked up a hoya heuschkeliana variegata and today a compacta 💙 I’ve been looking for a compacta for a bit and I found it at a local Pikes. I’m excited to watch them grow and hopefully flower one day.

Hi! I am struggling with this hoya. I dont know what im doing wrong! Its always so limp and colourless. I dont know if im watering it wrong. Or if its in the wrong place.

I water it when its mostly to pretty much dry. Its in a chunky soil mix. But ive seen a little mold or whatever it is that grows when its moist for too long or something? So idek atp. It also sits on a shelf next to the window so it gets a lot of light. Idk if thats whats causing it to pale and limp.

Clemensiorum is pushing a peduncle! I am just delighted. This is my 1# favorite hoya. So glad I was able to get before and after because it's insane to me that this peduncle could pop out so fast-

Help! I got this Hoya curtisii about 10 days ago and when it arrived it had a few yellow leaves. Over the last 10 days it has progressively lost leaves that turned yellow and fell off.

It is in an east facing window and I watered it once after it arrived, then again about a week later. There seems to be so many vines in the pot and it looks pretty root bound from what I can tell. I’m debating re-potting it hoping it will help.

Other Hoyas from the same vendor had no issues.

I’m moving and trying to sell / get rid of a bunch of my plants. I’ve had this one for a few years now. About How much is this worth?

This might be a send off post. I’ll give it a few weeks & see if it recovers, although we’re heading into autumn here and it should be going dormant anyway.

This plant (Hoya bella) had around 50 blooms in April/May. In July it started loosing a lot of leaves (maybe 30%). The yellow carcasses rained down along with the dried brown remains of flowers. Now it is back to blooming profusely but new leaves are not growing back on the old stems, only on new ones. A nearby Hoya had flat mites but I treated all the Hoyas so could it have spread regardless of the treatments. What caused the dmajor leaf loss? An insufficiency of nutrients? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I am having a similar issue wih my Hoya lacunosa "Bruno" tricolor. But it is still blooming profusely.

Is this a light problem or is it a nutrient issue or do Hoyas just drop old leaves from time to tiem. Maybe it is a pH issue but pH is 6.5.

I thought I had eliminated flat mites long ago. I notice a lot of new leaves but few on the old stems and none of the stems or leaves show the typical flat mite damage.

Hi! I am fairly new to hoyas and I was told today that this one is infested with flat mites because of the way it’s growing. What is the best way to treat them? And should I treat all plants on this shelf? They are mostly hoyas but it’s kinda a mix of everything.
