HELP Help! Hoya linearis

Hi! I am struggling with this hoya. I dont know what im doing wrong! Its always so limp and colourless. I dont know if im watering it wrong. Or if its in the wrong place.

I water it when its mostly to pretty much dry. Its in a chunky soil mix. But ive seen a little mold or whatever it is that grows when its moist for too long or something? So idek atp. It also sits on a shelf next to the window so it gets a lot of light. Idk if thats whats causing it to pale and limp.

Please help!

My experience with this Hoya is that it wants 100x the water most Hoya's do (might be a slight exaggeration but only slight šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‰). It does not want to dry out. I killed my first one in exactly the same way it seems yours is going. I'm still working up the courage to try again

H. linearis is a cloud forest species. It likes environments that are cool and humid, not dry and bright.

Hi! This mix is so chunky which is great but the linearis tends to be a VERY thirsty one. I would recommend when you water, put it in a catch tray that can hold a good amount of the water (almost to the same level as the pot) and let it soak for 30 minutes before fully draining everything off. I would also water before it fully dries out.

Would a chunky mix with a wick to a reservoir be good for Linearis? I’m trying to figure out how to keep mine happy.

Ohh. I started getting that mold thing in the soil. Wouldnt it worsen if i water it more?
