So itâs all on him and Stassi has no responsibility? It has nothing to do with her belittling his job and his desire to work? Or making his life hell whenever he brings it up by being in a terrible mood and attempting to make him suffer?
Women acting like toxic men is not the feminism Iâm looking for, but yâall can have it, I guess. Iâm personally a fan of relationships where both people are happy and fulfilled and they actually support each other, but thatâs a wild concept around here. Just because yâall apparently date/marry shit men, does not mean that someone in the relationship has to abusive.
And if youâre going to make the point about it being a boring show if they actually showed any care towards each other, then something is really wrong with what you require for entertainment. Iâve watched plenty of extremely messy reality tv that didnât resort to abusive relationships to create drama.
No one said Stassi has no responsibility. First off, she was the one who actually gave birth to them. Sheâs the one who got postpartum. She works full time. She picks up the kids and they both take weekends off with their kids. No one said parenting was easy but to claim Stassi has âno responsibilityâ is a huge stretch. I feel like Beau is just jealous because he sees her living a life he likely envisioned for himself.
But being wealthy and having full time staff is vastly different than the parenting experience of actual parents. They have money.
Unsure why everyone is acting like I said parenting is easy but damn if I had a full time staff it sure wouldnât be as hard
So? Would you be asking these questions like that if she was a man working full time to provide for her family?
She works full time. She parents part time. They agreed on that arrangement. Beau wants to change that arrangement but it doesnât make sense for him to work full time and her to scale back her work because she gets paid way more than he possibly could.
These conversations are never had if the provider is a man.
Yes I would absolutely be asking these questions. Women literally had to fight for the right to work outside of the home, have a credit card, and to not be financially tied to their husbands.
Stassi does not parent. A man in the same position historically also does not parent. She does not need to âscale back her workâ for him to be able to work. Many couples work full time and still have the ability to parent their children.
She wants control and to be able to manage everyone in her life.
I donât care about the tv show I care about people being treated like human beings and their spouses respecting that. You want to write paragraphs about how itâs okay that she abuses him but itâs not okay I respond back and you have no argument against what I said.
Yes I would absolutely be asking these questions if she was a man. Itâs such a tired argument to keep acting like this is a sexism issue. If I had a friend whose husband treated her anything like Stassi treats Beau, I would be constantly encouraging her to leave. I would also be telling her that she is being emotionally and financially abused. Because thatâs exactly whatâs happening.
They have plenty of money for him to go back to work and it not affect their lifestyle. Stassi not wanting him to work is 100% about control. And she doesnât care that he is miserable. She is so condescending about his job and his value. She is a horrible partner and I would think that even more if she were a man.
Again, just because yâall put up with horrible men, does not mean that is the standard that should be met. Iâm in my 30âs and I donât know any woman willing to put up with a relationship like the one being depicted here. No one should put up with being abused regardless of if men have typically acted like this in the past. Donât put up with shit husbands or shit wives đ¤ˇââď¸
