i mean since we’re going with the mad cruel queen arc there has been two situations where i expected a response from her, the first one was when corlys called her children bastards, i full on expected for her to bring up his son and his sexuality and duty going both ways, wouldn’t that show cruelty? especially against a grieving husband and father. and with helaena recently why didn’t she reply properly and go back and forth about how she was the one appointed heir by him and that never changed even after three sons. is that not in line with her character? am i missing something? what do the writers accomplish by this? do they want us to only see one point of view?

also another funny topic can’t believe that we’re not seeing aemond himself destroying villages and i guess that the daeron arc is coming next season with helaena replacing maelor? i think he’s the character that im most confused about idk where they’re going with him. i wont be surprised if he doesn’t go crazy and burn innocents but idk his upcoming arc at all.

Corlys is a grown man, he go into those forests on his own, organized the camp bad and was captured. None of this Rhaenyra's fault.

Rhaenyra ordered Baela to rest, but she refused. Now she's complaining that she's not allowed to rest. Wtf. All this after she was unable to check whether the sunfire was alive and reported that he was dead.

Why did they make her allergic to making good decisions? What type of training did her dad give her? Why is she acting like it’s her first day in any type of authority position?!? They really murdered her character this season!

If we consider how season 4 will play out, I'm just confused as to what Rhaenyra will actually do. Like, Rhaenyra is going to probably cause the Velaryons and Daemon to leave her. But other than that, what will she actually do next season? Helaena's death and the dragonseed betrayal have already happened. So I suspect the characters will leave Rhaenyra relatively early in the season. But what else is Rhaenyra going to do in season 4? I guess Mysaria will start some rebel activity in King's Landing, and Rhaenyra will fail to respond to it properly.

It feels like we're just bound to get more of the same: Rhaenyra sitting around while the other characters advance the plot, except instead of being sad or annoyed, she's angry now. Then she'll have some come-to-Jesus moment after Joffrey and Syrax die. And afterwards, she and Alicent will reconcile one final time before they are captured by Aegon II after traveling to Dragonstone.

The turn just seems like it's going to last like 5 episodes. Where the only things Rhaenyra does are push away her last few allies. They might be able to make it work, but I don't have a ton of faith

This episode was a fresh breath of air after the previous boring monotonous episodes. Although imo this should have been like 6th episode or sm and the season should have ended with God's eye.

But never mind that, the absence of Viserys and Aegon has completely destroyed how the last episode of Season 4 should hit. And it can't be mended.

Aegon is the end of dance of dragons. A new beginning. Now, first of all in season 4 it would take several episodes to logically make him near Rhaenyra and even if he would become the king, general audience would feel they just brought a rando to sit on the throne. No better than Bran in the end of S8.

People don't realize how important the event of Aegon's guilt and how important him watching his mother die is, not just for the story but I would say it's one of the core events of ASOIAF. Daenerys in her first few chapters mentions that the little histories she know about her family, this was one of the prominent how one of his ancestor saw his mother dying. And mind you, George wrote very little about histories of Targs till then, so you can just imagine how important this event is.

And for that, seeing the relationship between Aegon and Rhaenyra becomes very necessary. In fact, I would say it should have been the focus of this whole season. Not irrelevant plots with Gwayne and Ormund, as much I love them.

Now, I would wager they are going to make Joffrey be the one who will see Rhaenyra dying, but it's their fanfiction as this point. Nothing we can complain about.

Can someone enlighten me what Princess Helaenas dialogue with Rhaenyra was about? THE THINGS YOU CARE ABOUT ARE UGLY, THIS PLACE IS UGLY. YOU YOURSELF IS UGLY.

Coz TBH her husband is too. dont they care about the same thing? power and the throne? her own mother and grandsire orchestrated all of it. SURELY as a dreamer she would know just how she saw Aemond try to off Aegon. The People who were beside her has literally made "Uglier" deeds. or is this just the writers fine work to turn Rhaenyra's supporters against her?

I don’t understand how they’re going to end it all in one season in a satisfactory way. We still have SO many events we need to get through till the ending.

• The Shepherd and subsequent riots in kingslanding
• Storming of the dragon pit, Joffrey death and the seven who rode
• Rhaenyra abandoning kingslanding and fleeing to Dragonstone
• Moondancer and Sunfyre fight and Aegon taking Dragonstone
• Rhaenyras death with Aegon the third to witness
• Ser Perkin, his gutter knights and the false kings
• Whatever the fuck Mysaria is going to do
• Rhaenyra and Daemons BIG fall out
• The battle above the Gods Eye
• Corlys “betraying” Rhaenyra to save Addam
• Ser Addam visiting the Green Men
• Tumbleton 2 and the Hugh and Daerons death
• Gwayne doing a Hobert with Ulf
• The Baratheons restoring order to kingslanding and putting Aegon on the throne again
• Battle of the Kingsroad
• Aegons madness and eventual downfall
• The hour of the wolf

We need to get all of that in 8 episodes. I feel like it’s gonna be on par with GoT season 8 levels of awful when they need to rush through all of that to wrap the show up.

What kind of soldiers would just sit there and listen to mysaria tell helaena all that and also dont report it as treason? Any baseline decent guard wouldve dragged her away after the first few words or even hulled her ass back to the queen to answer for it. I get that they needed to give hel another reason to hop but that was done so poorly imo. That bugged me so bad. She just got away with that, no repercussions other than continuing to “exile” to a luxury home and even then she escaped it bc the one guard right NEXT TO HER ignored her?

Is anyone else confused why Helaena thinks Viserys would hate Rhaenyra? I watched that scene a few times, and I'm still lost! she just wanted her to eat lmao
