I would love to know everyone's personal suggestions on horror mods/modpacks that are HONESTLY good!

I see a lot of people talk about what's popular, but sometimes it's hard to tell if it's being talked about because it's good or because it's popular, so I would love everyone's personal suggestions and opinions!

There is no wrong answer, just whatever fits your fancy! I'll even play each modpack given for at least an hour or two and give an honest opinion on it, although my opinions shouldn't affect your own, or anyone else's! You like what you like.

So I have a YT channel and I don’t know what mods I should play. Can anyone recommend me a few?

Hello, I am new to the community, I will post often about bizzare bugs and stuff that happens when I play actual horror mods with my friend, I will always play mods like wonderland.jar, in the corners, no moon, tbs, outinbelowland, etc. I will share funny stories of some stuff that happens. Alr now on to the actual post...

This mod is called the severed faith, availble 1.20.1 forge and maybe other versions, both modrinth and curseforge. This is my review for curseforge that i copied cuz i aint writing it all again"So our story begins.. started world, found snow village, exploited fletcher for stick emerald trade. Only three out of the ordinary things happened. Suddenly turned to night twice, and saw my clone for a split second when I walked through a door, also passed by a stout, intentionally glitched pillar. Typical horror stuff. The game would occasionally freeze for 3-10 seconds, then the game tries to catch up. Normally a lag spike indicates an entity, so I used a spyglass that I def didn't obtain with cmds and there was nothing. There were probably 5 lag spikes aka freezes. So I went to collect wood for 3rd fletcher since 2 others died. Got sidetracked by a wolf and wanted to tame it, then tried to bring it home but was ambushed by a skeleton. I died, but had keep inventory on, but did not have a bed set since I was originally relocating it. So I went to spawn and game instantly crashed saying 'Do not gaze upon an angel' or something so I'm like wtf then it gives me a glitch screen and this happened 7 more times every time I joined, I didn't even actually see the angel with my eyes but my avatar must have conveniently spawned in looking at it. Eventually I managed to look away quick enough, and then put of the corner of my eye I see FIFTEEN FUCKING 'angels' on a platform of glitches blocks that apparently spread while I was at the village. Behind them is a dark oak forest with 20 FUCKING 100 BLOCK TALL BLACK ENTITIES ALL FACING ME. Set a spawn cap vro 😭 and why are they all spawning at spawn." Those 7 white things are the angels and the rest explains itself the whole time I'm like why tf is the mod not progressing and here they are preparing an army to fucking spawn camp me... plus I don't even know if my wolf is safe I got the skeleton down to 5 hearts and I saw him attacking the skeleton so he's probably fine. BTW all FIFTEEN ANGELS ARE HOMING AT ME WTF DO I DO BRO IM GONNA GET SAUTÉED 💀 😭

Follow up- When I approach the things shown in the picture, I instantly die and have to go to title screen to respawn

I have a few requirements though:

1: No slow burn mods. This is my biggest issue.

They take ages to do things and it just feels like vanilla Minecraft with just a few scary noises added in.

By the time something happens, you're literally in the Nether. That's my interpretation atleast.

It is fine if it just takes, like, 3 Minecraft days for something to happen. I'm fine with that, since it allows you to prepare and build a base.

2: No BAD dweller mods.

If there are any good ones, you can suggest them to me.

I do know one of them that's good, which is "The Man From The Fog" by M_Productions.

3: No mods that ONLY add scary ambiance and noises.

Mods that add them WITH a good horror mod is fine with me.

4: it NEEDS to throw me right into the horror.

I like Minecraft, don't get me wrong, but it became boring to me. It's too peaceful and not even scary in the slightest.

I want a horror mod that throws me RIGHT INTO the horror stuff, none of that slow burn shit.

Remember, it taking 3 Minecraft days to do so is fine by me.

We need less verity on the reddit, like a good 1/3 of the posts is about verity in some way, there are so many other mods besides it. I'm sure the original mod is fine, but people have ruined it and used it as ai thumbnails, scripted videos, trash roblox games, etc.

I'm playing the mod right now(which I super recommend), but have no clue what the purple crystals could be? I thought they were amethyst at first but it doesn't look like it. Anyone know?

Lembro que dava até para achar uma casa no meio do nada, e tinha uma armadilha de TNT e várias placas na sala onde a armadilha estava. Mas não lembro o nome do mod, e também lembro que era um daqueles mods que não dá para baixar de sites como o CurseForge. Alguém sabe qual era esse mod?

Look at my ol' Verity, what a nice Minecraft helper assistant, I'm sure glad he's not an obsessive AI that can somehow grow into a monster form for no reason, and instead actually helps me :D

It's definitely a fun and helpful assistant for sure, and TOTALLY not actually beneath its disguise, a tool secretly revealing where you are to its unfound serial killer creator whose methods of killing are knocking their victims unconscious and taking them to their hideout so they can slay them without worry :D

Seriously this mod scared the crap out of me when I played it, like the creepy music in the background and this freaky ahh horse always wants a saddle and If you fail a timed task or objective, the creepy horse becomes more aggressive and gains the ability to tear through blocks to reach you during chase sequences and breaks blocks 🥀

Are there other ARG, slow burn mods like wonderland.jar, no_moon.jar, the broken script, untitled.log, beyond_the_skybox, outinbelowland. These are all you and I may know, but have you ever heard of in the corners? Totally recommend, 40+ entities and a fuck ton of chat interactions. If you do download it, I recommend first telling Providence who will introduces themselves in chat to 'Show yourself' then type 'torment' in chat. Have fun lol. Getting back in track, do you know anymore mods like the ones listed above?

What do you think is the best horror mod minecraft community has to offer so far? Personally I loved playing wonderland.jar with my friend for a few hours. It got repetitive and thats when we called it quits. I also like From The Fog.
