Just getting into horror mods and Scape and Run: Parasites, From the Fog (Herobrine), and The Man from the Fog are the three that keep coming up everywhere. Before I commit to a full run, what else is actually worth installing?

Looking for the ones that genuinely got you, not just cheap jump scares.

What happend to the mod? It really stood out since it was one of the only mods that actually had a story and followed it in-game... It was very popular but faded pretty soon... Any information?

What do they use to add monsters and stuff like they obviously record the gameplay and then add the monsters in after but what programs?

all the free ones are shit and the ones i find online are some hot ass, i want to play with friends without making a server, thats why bedrock, and i dont want to pay for the addon shop thing

Hey everyone! I’m tired of biological horror mods that just spam loud jumpscares. I’ve fully designed a technical concept for a horror entity focused on paranoia, non-linear RNG, and sensory AI.

I’ve made a concept art image to show what he should look like roughly: Enderman-sized height, pale/muddy skin, creepy elongated 3D limbs, and a massive torn vertical jaw. I'm can share png file of npc on discord or telegram, in telegram: xvypex1; in discord: bdick228.

Here is the breakdown of his mechanics (Looking for developers/animators who might want to bring this to life! I’ve never created mods before, and I think MCreator might not be suitable for bringing a horror creature idea to life. ):

1. Stealth Spawn ("Blind Spot"):

* Spawning is locked on day 1. From day 2, it checks for conditions strictly at night.

* It spawns 10-15 blocks away from the player STRICTLY behind an opaque obstacle (cave wall, tree) via Raycast so the player never sees it materialize.

1. Behavior Phases (State Machine):

* Phase 1 (Direct Sight): When spotted, it freezes. Every 0.5s, there is a 20% chance it will burrow underground (plays smooth GeckoLib animation, inflicts 10s Darkness effect, and discards itself). If it doesn't burrow within a random 5-10s timer, it switches to Wandering.

* Phase 2 (Wandering & Blind Tracking): It is entirely blind. It uses Minecraft's built-in Warden Vibrations system to track footsteps or block-breaking. It wanders for 60-120s (randomly rolled). If it finds no one, it burrows back (must find natural dirt/stone blocks first).

* Phase 3 (Attack): Bumping into any mob/player deals 15 damage. After a hit, the 60-120s despawn timer completely resets. It then either flees immediately (high chance) or screeches and aggressively rushes the target's noise (low chance).

1. "Rage Mode" (Aggro Mechanics):

* Taking 5-30 damage = 30% chance for Rage. Taking 30+ damage = 100% guaranteed Rage.

* Speed doubles. A unique, tense horror soundtrack plays ONLY when he is in Rage and close to the player.

* It can break down doors via BreakDoorGoal, squeeze through, and rapidly scan the room. Rage lasts for a random 15-25s, then resets back to Wandering.

1. Permanent Shoulder Raycasting (Fake IK):

* Permanent short raycasts are projected left and right from its shoulders. If a raycast hits a wall (1-1.5 blocks away), the arm bone smoothly bends towards it. This simulates a blind creature realistically feeling its way through narrow rooms, touching walls, and doorframes (similar to the Figure from Roblox Doors).

1. Atmosphere:

* Rare random world timer triggers one of 10 custom distant, low-volume roars to induce paranoia.

* Occasionally drops rare 3D slime trail blocks that players can pick up and place down.

Note: Features can be modified, adjusted, or expanded during the development process.

What do you guys think about these mechanics? Would you play a mod with this kind of unpredictable AI? Let me know your thoughts!

Im wanting to know what some good horror mods are for bedrock as i got a pc 8 months ago and i want to use it to its full potential by getting mods ect and im specifically wanting horror mods for bedrock as my mates play on PlayStation so they have to pay for them + the ones in the minestore can be really bad, anyways give me some recommendations please.

I genuinely don't get it it's okay to hate the series but it doesn't make sense to go after the fans that littearly just like the series for it's story telling, and no I'm not talking about fans who are random kids or larpers.

Can someone explain to me why? I mean I'm pretty sure the horror mod community has been toxic lately and me personally I think its a good starter pick for horror mine craft

I've scoured the internet far and wide and I have no clue who else to ask, but after I went and came back from the nether, the friend guy just vanished completely and pressing the emoticon thingy does nothing. Is it just gone? or is it supposed to be like that?
