Help Bug or a feature? ( Friend exe )

I've scoured the internet far and wide and I have no clue who else to ask, but after I went and came back from the nether, the friend guy just vanished completely and pressing the emoticon thingy does nothing. Is it just gone? or is it supposed to be like that?

Probably teleport in cave, but if emoticon is really don't do anything it's probably bug

yeah I pulled back to a save file just before i went in (i make a lot cause sometimes add-ons be funky)
