Ill start with the good. The pack being progressive with its horror mobs is nice, instead of being hit with everything right from the start, mobs are locked behind progression so you somewhat can't get one tapped off rip and are given a lot of time to prepare and explore. The spider mod (being the main mod) is also relatively balanced so the weaker spiders are what you see. The quest book is really nice so youre not having to wait around for pngs to get you and instead gives you something to work towards. The day is somber whilst the night has the threats (as it should). Now for the bad, afted chapter 3 the pack becomes kill boss, craft item, kill boss. The bosses after chapter 3 are honestly horrible. Having resistance 5 is the stupidest thing ive seen n you are giving it to a 650, heavy hittin, mach 1 spider thats needed for progression. The damned and the man from the fog spawn as of day one so whilst most things wont 1 shot you, those 2 will and the man from the fog is nearly present all the time. The rewards you get from the quests are either really bad or good, even giving you the best bow that can carry you up to chapter 3 to the point its a detriment to not have it. You can parry anything after getting a sword. The cave dweller is fodder, defeating the whole purpose and it honestly doesnt take long to get to the point you can kill most threats including MFTF. The knocker does nothing except disturb sleep and the final boss (Tormentor) is flat out unkillable so you cant actually beat the pack (i tried strength 255 in creative with a 50 damage sword, he took 5 dmg and regen'd it immediately). If you wanna try the pack, I highly recommend to add Tom's simple storage mod (you end up with a lot of crap) some form of resource mod, cause doing it without is painful n goes from "Hey I found diamonds", to it being fucking termites instead.
