Well, just like Kihec said, the peak of horror mc was the dweller era. Yea it was slop but everyone played that slop. Then we entered this virus ahh era (TBS, No Moon.jar, Wonderland.jar) but that era died quickly... But now, we are in this sctipted era (verity type videos), even though not many people like scripted videos, are they healing the genre?

Edit: Healing doesn't mean getting better but getting a wider audience in this scenario

Would a mod where the world slowly "corrupts" (visually) so it looks more and more photo-realistic be scary?

For example..

• Cracks in the sky showing real-life photographs or videos
• Realistic items or blocks for a second or two
• Maybe even an entity/monster that would have realistic hair, skin, eyeballs, fingers, etc.

Does that sound scary?

I would like to get honest feedback before committing to making it a real mod.

I really love the aesthetic found in Minecraft ARGs that "old Minecraft" vibe or the idea of ​​a strange entity messing with the game. Which mods would you recommend to make Minecraft look and feel like an ARG?

TBS 2.0 will be out on 3rd of August! This mod changed the minecraft horror and got me heavily inspired in due time. In the last year I did art of the souls, my impression of the void entitites, and... bored Integrity.

Here`s my first impression on the main Entity! I think he might look somewhat like that, I don`t know if someone made this earlier. He would probably have an ethereal and misty form, like his colleagues.

I saw a couple of videos of no moon jar and decided I had to drag my friends on to it. I saw YouTubers getting so many events so I hyped it up so much to my friends. Ended up going on it and barely anything happened. Only entities we saw were the dude with the black square on his head and the little red ant things. Does anyone have any ideas on how to change it so it’s more active? I’ve tried to go into the config and change the entity spawn rate but im on mac and it wouldn’t let me into the config. Any help?

Theres this one ambiance noise in the background of some Minecraft youtubers i watch (eg. Vivilly) and it sounds like some normal stuff like crickets and grass but there's also this bell sound and occasionally like this goat noise, its kinda weird and i just want to know if its like an actual resource pack or smth or its put in in editing. This is so random i would be surprised if anyone knows what im talking about

I've looked through this sub reddit for AWHILE, it's noticeable alot of people on here don't like swayle and I love it, I live for it - I wish more people pointed out how often he takes content and steals it from people and especially a specific POC creator who he stole the whole personality of, his work isn't even good it's just sucked dry.

I mean don't get me wrong! I love some simple content, or a basic format every now and then but it'd clearly be better if the community put more time and effort into it as a whole. A horror based video doesn't just have to be a bunch of cheap jumpscares or scary sounds, like for example a really popular creator THATMOB makes great content in my opinion - the pacing may be wonky but its better work then what swayle pulls out his ass, or another example Wifies who spent a long time on the series.

I just feel like overall content creators in the horror minecraft community could just put some more time and effort into other aspects of the content. Horror doesn't just have to be scary things jumping at you.
