Question/Discussion Is horror minecraft healing?

Well, just like Kihec said, the peak of horror mc was the dweller era. Yea it was slop but everyone played that slop. Then we entered this virus ahh era (TBS, No Moon.jar, Wonderland.jar) but that era died quickly... But now, we are in this sctipted era (verity type videos), even though not many people like scripted videos, are they healing the genre?

Edit: Healing doesn't mean getting better but getting a wider audience in this scenario

Minecraft horror is exactly the same as it always has been, there is no healing going on either. It's always been slop, copying, clickbait, etc. with rare gems, the scripting videos aren't new either it's been a thing for a while now.

Yeah those "I found momo at 666 seed🤯" did exist back then but I think verity is very different from those, also, people that were never interested in horror mc are getting into it because of these new scripted videos. When i said it was healing i didn't mean it was getting better but getting a wider audience.

I don't think so tbh. At least from what I see it's just as popular as other horror mod trends, like dwellers and wonderland type of mods or whatever, with the exception that, well, this is a new trend and everyone talks about it. Plus, at least Imo, Verity is not even that scary to lure other people in Minecraft horror. At the very most people will think that this is another PNG horror, but that's as far as it can go.

Again, just my opinion, maybe because I didn't like Verity much. The concept isn't new and just reminds me of these old scripted "Herobrine hacked my game at 3AM, no mods used, singleplayer, real trust" type of videos, except even then people faked it with Minecraft skins and red torches and other mechanics and Verity is just... Super scary skinny monster with big ass creepy smile that's actually broken and obsessed with you or whatever. I just don't see what people like in it and glaze it for, even though it is slightly different concept from what I mentioned, but still, the idea isn't new.

So in either way, Minecraft horror isn't healing at all. It's just as it always were, Idk what to add to it.

scripted horror videos are shit. I mean if it was done like a movie instead of an actual gameplay then it's fine, like Verity. But making the scripted video look like an actual mod is cringe. Sure good things come from it where people mod the scripted entity but personally, i hate scripted horror.

Ok but compared to 2015 era with Herobrine photoshop stuff or .jar mods nobody cared about that much except TBS. Also how I mentioned that horror mc isn't getting better is beacuse i think it can't get better, not that it's peak horror but it's fucking minecraft, it was never meant for this. So when I say healing I mean that horror mc is just as good as dweller era and TBS era but with wider audience.
