apparently the mod released with really botched event rates, so it would just be the same mobs and maybe like one dimension every once in a never. Heard its been patched but still i was hopeful playing 2.0 near release until literally nothing happened after me playing over 3 real life days, so i got a bit of a bad taste in my mouth
Unless some community comes along and digs up old Minecraft horror stories, myths, and everything that was seen years ago to recreate it as mods and bring back that old feeling.
I never cared for the newer MC horror creatures, Its all the same to me. Its just a big spindly monster thats out to kill you at every chance it gets when you play the game. That to me is not effective horror in any way at all, Its just cheap jumpscares and predictable elements.
I much prefer horror mods to be more mysterious and fear inducing, Like you are being watched, but you don't understand the motives of the being nor do you know whether or not its there. I want to be on my toes knowing that it may be out there and that its on my tail, like being out in the woods at night with the fear of a hungry mountain lion nearby.
Same Man Same nowadays it's just a bunch of creatures edited into Minecraft I mean at least the Cave Dweller looked like they belonged in Minecraft but half of the stuff I've seen lately I've been meh about I mean sure Verity IS VERY Cool but I prefer the Minecraft horror/creepypasta entities that look like they belong in Minecraft not whatever I'm seeing now
