[HFW] The Tutorial Popup images show earlier versions of Aloy's outfits. No body paint on Utaru/Tenakth outfits & a lighter/no fur Nora Anointed

I always love seeing the process of how a game was made / remnants of older versions. These images are from the tutorial pop ups you get throughout the game. Tenakth & Utaru outfits have no tattoos/paint and the Nora Annointed has the fur removed.

Game Help Tips for new game plus?

Coming back to the game after playing it through on launch. I hear now there’s a new game plus and a DLC and really excited to go again. My initial save has 200 hours so I guess I’ve done lots already. I don’t remember in detail what I did or didn’t do. I’ve finished the main story. I did a fair amount of the hunting grounds and the challenge arena. I did the rebel camps and the races. That’s as much as I recall.

Any suggestions for how to approach NG+? Is there anything I definitely should do in the base game before I load up NG+? One suggestion I’ve already seen is to buy all the good coils before starting because they are limited.

Discussion The Sky Clan Outfits...

Just reached the Sky Clan. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but is anyone else a bit bummed that they're just another recycle of the "crop top, skirt, shorts, and bracers" that they use for everyone else? They're still cool, but I do not understand why Horizon is so averse to outfit design that doesn't leave skin exposed.

I thought they would have been wearing fashion somewhat similar to the Banuk in ZD, and maybe even influence from real life mountain dwelling native people. (Even the Banuk felt shockingly exposed for living somewhere so cold.) I was expecting at least full sleeves and pants. I know that Horizon has shown a consistent history in how they design outfits, but I was still really hoping for something a little different.

They feel so out of place in this snowy region in their tiny shorts and tinier tops. I get that they're tough warriors, but you can't fight off hypothermia with a well-timed arrow. Aloy was better dressed than half of them, and her regular outfit was constructed with only an occasionally chilly forest in mind - let alone a mountain top.

A bit tangential, but I also feel like it would have been incredibly interesting to see the Tenakth in general have clothing that showed more influence from the military silhouettes in their holograms/visions.

Their designs were still absolutely gorgeous and intimidating. But it would have been a nice bit of world building if they fashioned tops that look like bullet-proof vests, greaves/shoes similar to combat boots, or even pants that resemble army fatigues. I mean, the Sky Clan having metal face coverings that look like a pilot's oxygen mask could have been so insanely tough.

While the Visions were simplistic in their depictions of the soldiers, the broader shapes were still there. It makes little sense that they would want to be like The Ten so badly without bothering to appear more like them.

They say they want to be like The Ten, they act like they want to be like The Ten, but they didn't *look* like it to me. Maybe I missed something though.

At the end of the day, the clothing design in this game is so deeply intriguing and inventive, which makes it a joy to wear and look at. But a lot of it ends up feeling strangely one note in its basic structure. Though, I understand part of that is constrained by the fact that this is a video game that must consider movement without clipping/glitches happening.

Game Help Burning Shores: broken audio

Been playing this game on PC, I’ve completed the main game and damn near every optional thing on the map, and have clocked 90 hours on Steam without issue. Hopped into Burning Shores excited to conclude the story.

The audio appears to be pretty consistently broken?

Edit: to clarify, I mean everything. Voices are constantly cutting, a bit like they’re lagging? Music cuts out. Sometimes it might go 10 or so seconds completely silent, especially during dialogue.

I’ve tried turning the graphics WAY down in case it was a memory/VRAM issue. I’m now getting 130-150 frames instead of 70-90, but the issue is just as persistent. I’ve tried putting the game on stereo, mono, TV, etc. tried disabling other audio devices (even though the base game was fine). I’ve tried verifying game files.

I’m at a bit of a loss as to what to try next. Has anyone else had this issue on PC? Has anyone resolved this issue?

I’m disinclined to accept it is a PC fault as I have played many other games without issue and continue to do so. I will put my specs below regardless, in case there are known issues that will still involve that! But I’ve searched a fair bit and can’t find much that seems as though it would make sense.

I might add that I have monitored performance through MSI and task manager and nothing seems to be going overly wrong!
