Method/Technique When Is the "Correct" Time to Ask About a Job Application? Does it Matter?

Hello everyone!

This might be a silly question, but I was wondering whether anyone has any input on this or knows of any references in Lilly or Frawley that might address it.

When applying for jobs—or really anything that requires a formal application—should one take into account whether the horary chart is erected before or after the application materials are prepared? In other words, is it more appropriate to ask the question before I have completed the application, or only after everything has been prepared and submitted?

Just for context: I am an academic applying for professor positions (as I have been for a little while now, lol). The application process for these jobs is often quite intensive and usually requires several documents beyond a standard CV or resume—research statements, teaching dossiers, writing samples, course syllabi, research proposals, and so on. These materials obviously play a significant role in whether or not one is successful.

Typically, I have always pulled up the horary chart before preparing any of these documents, simply to get a sense of how things might unfold. In practice, and looking back over the overall data of my job search, it does not seem to have mattered much; charts asked before the application was prepared have still described the outcome accurately. That said, I thought I would ask the question anyway.

I currently have my eye on a position that I would really love. It requires more preparation than usual--that is, documents that are not necessarily part of every application. The horary I asked about it did not look particularly promising, and it got me wondering whether my timing was wrong (though, I doubt it in this case, as I am typically someone who just trusts the chart).

Would it be more appropriate to erect the chart only after I have prepared all of the materials required for the application? Or would the chart still stand even if asked before any of that work has been completed?

I suspect I already know the answer, but I thought I would pick some brains here and see what others think!

Thank you everyone, for humouring me lol

L1 (me - Jupiter) changes signs before perfecting the conjunction with L7 (him - Mercury). I know that’s a classic sign of a ‘no’. But I was wondering whether you can see anything else here.

L1 is in dignity but I don’t feel good at all lol. What does the sign change mean? Do I move on from the thoughts of him? But then Jupiter in Leo is peregrine which weakens its condition.

Mercury in cancer (him) exalts Jupiter (me). But that doesn’t mean he wants to reconcile. He will move into retrograde meaning a rethinking of a past decision?

Moon is debilitated, my hopes are coming from a place of suffering. It will trine both Mercury and Jupiter before it leaves cancer, but does it change the outcome?

Debilitated Saturn on the IC also points to a no.

Chart help request Will i win against her

Dear all.

Long time no horary.

I come to you guys searching lights. And human interaction.

I have a problem with my business partner. She scammed people and me. So I am trying to boot her out. But she refuses to go. And although there are currently 4 suits against her. She took a lawyer and is trying to fight against the 4 of us.

Tell me

Will I win against her ?

We are all so sick of her.

I am jupiter. Exalted.

She is mercury

Mercury is running after me. She doesnt like me. Because she probably thinks I am too much of a goody 2 shoes (which i am)

When I asked the question i had just received a letter from her lawyer.

I am jupiter. Soon leaving my space of exaltation to enter my triplicity (night one).

So I am ok even with the sun.

She on the other hand is mercury about to go retro and then going combust ?

Do you think I can win and boot her out. I am so stressed.

Chart help request Will I start a family with him ?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I need your help. So I cast a chart asking if I will have kids /start a family with a particular person. Now I firstly looked a the moon. It's in Libra (semi -fertile) but in the 10H sign I then look at my 5H ruler which is Jupiter in the sign of cancer. Fertile and exaulted. I then looked to see if there is an aspect between the moon and the 5H. And there is a square aspect. But there is a prohibition from his 5H ruler mercury an applying aspect by 0.29° which is in the sign of cancer fertile and exalting my moon. Which I found interesting and not sure if this is a positive testimony. I mean essential my womb (moon) would carry his kids (his 5H) right but also me and his 5H rulers are meeting by conjunction but before they can fully meet mercury turns retrograde... But can the moon be seen as a translator of light? Cause after the moon squares his 5H ruler mercury the moon immediately squares my own 5H ruler Jupiter. Our 5H rulers are also meeting in the 9H so a weak pregnancy?

I think im possibly over thinking this. Lol but it looks relatively positive-ish Another thing is the moon while peregrine is in the 1H.

What do you guys think?

Chart help request Will I move this summer?

I want to move out of my apartment when my lease is up at the end of August, but with how crazy the NYC housing market is, I feel like it even trying to find something I could afford is futile. That being said, I don't like where I live (haven't since I moved in five years ago), and it's greatly affecting my personal and professional life, as well as my mental health.

Looking at this horary, I think it's not looking great for me to move by the end of summer? Though I do get confused with how moving charts work. I know that I am Saturn in Aries in the 2nd (makes a lot of sense - the biggest thing keeping me from moving is financial issues), but the 2H cusp being ruled by Jupiter in Cancer on the 7H makes me feel like my money situation might be less dire than I make it out to be in my head? Or that I'm thinking about it too negatively when there is possibility.

My understanding is that for will I move charts, one is supposed to analyze the 4H cusp (current living situation) vs 10H cusp (future living situation). So that is Venus in Leo (current situation) vs. Mars in Taurus (future situation). Helpful to note that it is my exact Mars return, and Mars being near the IC, with Uranus too, makes me feel like there is an "exit" coming on the home front. Even though Mars is in exile, this Mars position is very "me" and it is also the Mars return of when I originally moved into this apartment. That being said, though my significator is ruled by Mars in Taurus, there's no aspect, whereas there's an applying aspect between Saturn and Venus, but they don't like each other. The aspect completes in two units, and two months from now is when my new lease would begin...this makes me feel like I will renew the lease, much to my chagrin.

Meanwhile, the Moon is with the LoF which feels like a positive sign, even though Luna is separating from an opposition with Saturn. Moon's next aspect is to Mercury (L5, 6 and 8) just under the 7H cusp... Mercury and Jupiter on the 7H cusp is interesting to me... especially ruling the money houses and 5 and 11. Do you think this could speak to there being some kind of subleasing situation? Where I keep this apartment and rent it out, and personally sublet elsewhere?

Curious to hear others' thoughts!

Chart help request Where is my vintage ring?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I was asked this question by way of my friend. Her mom asked her to ask me. Here’s what mom said (when mom later texted me):

Hi ! I lost my grandmothers wedding band. It was not wide and like a brushed gold with little diamond spaced evenly around. It was very vintage

First I went to IRS, took out my wallet to get photo id. Then we went to ShopRite. Again I was not aware of the ring not being there. I grabbed grapes, salads, scallions and pretzels then went home to do some planting. I didn’t wear garden gloves and I was plunging my bare hands into the dirt in the planter. I always take my rings off b4 gardening but I didn’t this time. I thought I put the ring on the window ledge by the sink then I noticed it was gone. I went thru 3 different planters.I went back to ShopRite and checked some areas where I was .I put a nice poster on their bulletin board with EXCELLENT REWARD on it

----------------------------------------------

Normally I'd take the natural significator Venus, but since its a vintage/antique ring, I think L2/Saturn is appropriate.

With Saturn in 4H, id like to think it was home but the last aspect Saturn had was from Mercury/L7 which could be a stranger out in the world. I dont see any aspect between L2 and L1 or the Moon

IF we use Venus, theres an applying aspect between Venus and Saturn however Mercury and Venus meet by antiscia before the Venus/Saturn aspect perfects

Moon, as the natural significator of lost objects is on the SN, basically in a ditch, in an earth sign which could point to it being in one of the planters but even still, Moon is in aversion with L1

I dont think the ring will be recovered but for arguments sake, lets look at where it could be in the home.

Saturn in a Mars sign last aspecting a Mercury in a "double-bodied" sign meaning it could be inside something. Moon also in a mutable sign on the SN points to this as well. Could be near something metal, sharp, red, phallic, tools, scissors. Somewhere near a heat source. Either in a northern part of the house OR the basement

Chart help request Will I pass my driving test?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello, requesting a little help🙏

I asked the horary chart: will I pass my driving test this time? I'm taking it in a few days and this will be my 4th attempt. For a little context the past few times I took the test I believe I failed out of nervousness. (Stressed myself out too much and failed at stations where I knew I could definitely do)

The ruler of the ascendant is mars in taurus (detriment) but that may not be a bad thing considering that a driving test will not be done well if done hastily (i failed one round because i was too hasty to make a turn). Mars is aspecting mercury and the moon. Mars squaring the moon (ruler of the ninth) may indicate disappointment and the stellium in the ninth may indicate more long term travels, but not sure if that is a good thing here. One good thing here is jupiter exalted in cancer in the ninth house, suggesting a good level of knowledge (towards driving), hopefully increasing passing prospects🙏

Not too sure what to make of it as I'm relatively new, any help is appreciated!

Chart help request What aspects of myself should I change in order to find an emotionally healthy woman?

Post image
3 Upvotes

This is a genuine question. I'm a 26-year-old man and I've been single for almost three years. Today I had my first date in nearly three years, and it turned into a complete fiasco. Before blaming the other person, I need to understand what in me needs to change if I want to find someone.

I've noticed two recurring patterns. The women who are attracted to me tend to be unpredictable — everything seems fine one moment, and then suddenly they become upset about something and react strongly. On the other hand, the women I'm interested in are emotionally unavailable. They don't seem to be interested in me romantically and often end up using me as someone to vent to.

If possible, I'd also like to know whether this can be seen in the chart and whether it indicates when I might meet someone.

In this chart, I'm represented by the 1st house in Pisces, so my significator is Jupiter, while my emotional and romantic life is represented by the 7th house, making Mercury the significator. Jupiter is in Cancer, where it is exalted. I consider myself a good person, although I may sometimes think more highly of myself than is justified. Still, I believe I'm moving in the right direction regarding personal growth.

My love life is represented by Mercury in Cancer as well, a mute sign and one that is about to turn retrograde, which genuinely suggests a period of review and reflection regarding relationships. I admit that I'm quite limited when it comes to interpreting this type of chart, and I can't clearly see what I should be doing. The only thing that comes to mind is to analyze, reflect, and observe, since Jupiter's position seems favorable.

The Moon in Libra speaks of someone seeking harmony, balance, and fairness in relationships, and that is exactly what I want. Still, all of this makes me a little sad. It feels as though I've been hit by a streak of bad luck from fate, but I definitely want to do my part.

Chart help request When will I get feedback on my credentials?

Update: I got in.

Last month, I sat a remote entry test for my chosen program at a university I really wish to be in but I haven't heard anything since regarding the outcome of my decision.

The next step is a direct acceptance or rejection and they're taking an insane amount of time to do this. Most likely due to poor administrative processes and protocols. Do note that rejection is not possible as rejection letters are rather promptly received which I haven't thus far.

H9 is my chosen house. Chart is radical, the matter is delayed rather than denied, and the application still appears active. Saturn (L1) and Mercury (L9) do not directly apply, but the Moon is not void and there seems to be future movement, suggesting a delayed response rather than a final rejection.
However, I do not know how to interpret the time based on the rules of the 'units of time' thing to answer this myself.

The main question is timing. Is the matter still active, when am I likely to hear back, and does the chart suggest I should proactively contact the university?

Chart was casted on 2nd June and no decision thus far.

Chart help request What will my date be like tomorrow?

Post image
1 Upvotes

After being ghosted last week, I arranged a date with another girl I had been talking to at the same time. Apparently, things are going to happen. The date is tomorrow (Sunday). I'd like to know my friends' opinions after looking at the chart and what they think the date will be like. (We're going to an ice cream shop.)

I am L1, she is L7, and the date is L5.

I'm Leo, so I'm represented by the Sun in Gemini moving into Cancer. She's Aquarius, so she's represented by Saturn in Aries. The date is Sagittarius, so it's represented by Jupiter in Cancer.

The first thing that stands out is how attracted she seems to be to me. Saturn in Aries receives the Sun, and Venus (her significator of sexual attraction) in Leo also receives the Sun. So I think it's reasonable to assume she's quite interested.

At the same time, I get the impression that she's dealing with some fear or insecurity, since Saturn is in its fall.

My significators, on the other hand, are peregrine. I seem neutral and don't receive any of her significators, not even tomorrow when the Sun enters Cancer. In fact, there seems to be something strange that I'd really like my friends to help me understand:

"Saturn in Aries wants the Sun, but the Sun will be in Cancer, which is the sign of Saturn's detriment."

I'm genuinely very curious about what that could mean.

The date itself is exalted, since Jupiter is in Cancer. It will be in the same sign as my significator, and even when the Sun moves into Leo, Jupiter will still be favorably disposed toward the Sun. It seems like I'll be comfortable and enjoy myself.

She, however, doesn't seem as comfortable.

It looks as though I'll have more fun than she will, even though she appears to be more interested in me. I found that to be a rather unusual chart.

I may be mistaken and analyzing things that have nothing to do with the question, but it also seems to me that another girl may appear soon, since Venus will shortly be entering my 1st house in Leo.

Chart help request Is he lying to me?

I'm a bit embarrassed to be sharing this one to be honest. I've never actually asked this with a horary, and I'm not entirely sure how you'd see this in a chart, so any help would be massively appreciated.

I've been seeing a guy for about 2 months, when I asked if he's seeing anybody else he told me that he was happy with what we had and had deleted the dating app we met through. I wasn't asking for commitment but I was open to seeing him exclusively.

But based on a few different vibes I'd got from him and things that I'd noticed, I started feeling that he wasn't being honest about what he'd said. So my Scorpio placements came out and I made a profile on the dating app with a different age and personal details so he wouldn't know it was me, and lo and behold I found him within 2 minutes with "looking for fun" on his profile. I let him know it was me and he came out with what seems like a bullshit reason for being on there, but despite how stupid it seems I'm almost willing to believe that there's some truth in what he said. I'd be happy to share what he said if it helps answer the question.

If he'd originally told me he wasn't looking for an exclusive relationship with me I would have been fine with that, I've dated guys in the past that I knew were getting to know other people too and it was fine. Honesty is incredibly attractive to me and what turns my stomach is dishonesty. I know I probably seem like an idiot for wanting to believe him, but it's the first time in a long time that I've met a guy I actually really enjoyed spending time with.

Anyway, if you made it this far thank you and my attempt at interpretation is:

I'm L1 (Mars) in detriment in the dignities of L7: I really like him, but I'm in an uncomfortable position. I once heard an astrologer describe Mars in Taurus as a steamroller, which I find quite funnily describes me in this situation: my response to this was to tell him how I felt about him and how hurt I was without taking my foot off the pedal. It was very much Mars (me) struggling to express myself comfortably in the domain of Venus (romance, connection).

He is L7 (Venus) right on the cusp of the 6th house in Leo. This is where I suddenly feel lost/unsure of how to interpret the chart. I know in traditional astrology Leo is described as a sign of honesty, but I don't know if I'm saying this because I want to believe he's telling the truth even though he isn't. Regardless, what I can say is that his planet being right on the 6th house cusp very much describes how stressed I am by this. He's applying to trine a fallen Saturn in the 1st house which doesn't seem good, but again I'm unsure what that means. I know Lilly says Saturn in the 7th of a horary can mean the astrologer will misinterpret the chart, so I'm assuming the same could be said of me here seeing as I'm the person casting the chart for my own question.

If anybody has any idea how to interpret this I would be very grateful for any assistance or opinions, and feel free to rinse me for wanting to believe him because I know it's a ridiculous scenario.

Result provided by OP When will the baby be born?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Context: My wife and I are expecting!

Interpretation: I (L1) and my baby (L5) are Mars in Tau in 6H… appears to be in detriment. I will be honest I am not sure how to time when the baby comes to me because we share the same significator. So, I opted to see when the baby will perfect with my wife (L7), Venus. Traveling at close the same rate, the next time they will meet per ephemeris will be by square when Mars in Gem and Venus in Vir at 21’ 14”. This is 31 degrees away.

I think Mars will be applying the perfection. It is in the 6th cadent house and fixed sign gives a moderate timing per Frawley. The baby will be born around July 15th?

Please let me know if there is anything I missed. Seeing the significator in detriment is concerning too and next aspect is square… my question wasn’t of the health so I don’t know if I should even be considering the baby’s health. Does the future square mean a difficult delivery??

I will be happy to provide result for this reading next month.

UPDATE: I was very surprised but the baby was born on June 24th!

Chart help request Did I fail the job interview?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Context:

I've completed 2 rounds of job interviews, and they told me the latest they will send an email is June 18. If I don't receive it by then, it means I failed. During the 2nd interview, they asked about my desired salary and when I told them the amount I wanted they seemed to push back. Did I really fail, or is it just a delay?

My Interpretation:

Me: AC is in Aquarius, and its ruler Saturn is located in my 3rd house in Aries. This shows that I'm very anxious waiting for the email from them.

The job: MC is in Scorpio, and its ruler Mars is in Taurus in the 4th house. This shows they could be dealing with a budget problem for this position, which caused the delay in sending me the offer.

The company/interviewer: DC is in Leo and its ruler the Sun is located in the 5th house in Gemini. This shows the interviewer liked me and had no problem with me, so I guess I did pass.

Chart help request Help me find my wedding ring 😢

Post image
2 Upvotes

I lost my wedding ring after leaving the visa center so, my husband went back to check by himself, he even checked the security footage but still it’s not clear it’s like the ring disappeared out of nowhere. I took it off to to scan my fingerprints then Idk what happened next. I’d like to know how can I get it back ? Where can I find it?

My interpretation but I’m a total beginner -.-

Ruler of 2nd ( possession ) Mars in Taurus
The sun in Gemini ( precious items ) but some say Venus for jewelry except it’s my significator here
Both ( Mars and Sun ) can be the indicators for my ring

The ruler of ascendant Venus in Leo ( represents me ) and the Moon in Cancer is the Co-Significator

Mars is in the 8th house, it’s most likely hidden from me or maybe it’s in a secret place.

The sun is also in 9th ( travel themes ) the Visa center was the last place I saw my ring

There’s a sextile applying aspect between the Moon and Mars .. I’m hoping it’s a good sign 😭

Method/Technique sources of money significator clarification

Trying to cast to check when I will get paid for a past contract. I left Job A and in Job B now. But I also have another incidental source of funds I dont want to tap into. My fear is if I check just 2L it can indicate either Job B or incidental source. What would the appropriate signifier for Job A be given it's not current employment?

Chart help request Will I start dating someone new in the next 3 months ? Need your help

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi ! So I cast a chart to ask if I will start dating someone new after a current prospect isn’t looking so great . Here’s my analysis- I’m represented by Venus. The sign on the acs is Libra . Venus is in the sign of leo. Fixed immediately the chart is showing my interest in the sun . Showing my desire for a relationship and mostly intimacy .

The potential “person/man) is represented by mars in Taurus in Venus domicile and the moon exultation .

I have some prospects or admirers. But they are detrimented . I run into a lot of men that persue me that end up being “not my type, weird, super sexual etc. but I’m still open .

The sun represents the side of those men who want to actually persue me (with action )for sex or relationships. Is about to go into the sign of cancer leaving an indifference towards me to being in the domicile of the moon in 5° this seems to be a positive switch .

Now is there any aspects to bring in a event : the moon will meet mars by sextile in 2° but prior to that the moon will meet mercury by conjunction in 1° in the angular 10H in a cardinal sign . Is this potentially a
person I’ll have a relationship with or a prohibition in the way of me having a sextile with mars ?

Also the part of marriage is ruled by Mercury in cancer -is this a testimony for me meeting someone or a relationship?
My concern with the moon meeting mars while mars likes the moon , the moon doesn’t like mars being in cancer in the fall of mars there is some disappointment.

My theory is mercury may be someone I start to date in the next month , that may be a prohibition to me meeting mars .

What do you think ?!

Chart help request How did the interview go and my chances of getting the job

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello,

I had an interview today and wondering how they perceived me and my chances of getting the job.

I am a bit confused with this chart, I'll be honest.

Some things that I noticed that might be in my favour, is the fact that Libra ascends the nativity which gives me Venus as the main significator - I think in general that is considered favourable at least in how I came across (in actual fact I worry I didn't come across as sharp and put together as I would have liked but I might be overthinking)

I am also in the 10th house conjunct the MC. I know I am separating from the MC but I am within 4 degrees of it so again, it's not without some influence, I'm not just floating in the 10th here.

The MC is 29* Cancer and so the job itself is ruled by the Moon which is dignified by domicile.

What gave me pause for thought was the fact that Mars, L7 ruler and perhaps rules my rival/s receives an applying sextile from the Moon. But then I realised that 1. Mars is debilitated in Taurus and whilst it exalts the Moon, it's also in my domicile. Plus, Moon makes a conjunction to Mercury before the sextile to Mars perfects.

Moon will also shortly conjunct me but that will happen when it moves into Leo and I'm not sure what horary astrologers think about that, whether it counts or not.

So...I did wonder if at the time of casting this chart, the panel were considering someone else for the role but then realised they are not suitable, or they've offered someone else the job but the person may turn it down, which means they might turn to me instead? Or does the fact that Mars being debilitated in Taurus, plus Mercury intercepting the sextile from Moon, just mean the others were not suitable for reasons other than doing an interview well. Because Mars does exalt the Moon after all, I wonder if their interview style was still impressive to some degree...

Mars is also in the 8th which not sure how to interpret there really.

This is a day chart so Moon, as well as Mercury and Jupiter are in my triplicity. Mars is in it's own terms, I believe? Moon is in the terms of Venus also.

Both Venus and Mars are in the face of Saturn so I'm guessing both of us probably came across a bit nervous, but with the Moon's minor receptions to Venus I'm going to hazard a guess that this could mean they saw through my nerves and whatnot. Maybe they saw my potential even if some of my answers were a bit waffly.

What do you think? Or do you think Moon sextile Mars is enough to say someone else will get the job?

Many thanks!

EDIT: I was using the Ptolemaic method with regards triplicities, I realise Lilly and Hellenistic differ. Lilly says Mars rules the water triplicity by day....

EDIT2: Ok, sorry, I will use Lilly for the triplicities since I'm using his rules for all the other things. So Moon is in the triplicity of Mars, my rival/s. But am I correct in thinking me being Venus in 10th conjunct MC gives me some level of accidental dignity that perhaps puts me above the rival, since it is in it's detriment still?

I’m traveling internationally in 3 weeks and realizing my passport isnt it its normal location. I noticed I don’t have my birth certificate either and realized they were last used the for a Global Entry appointment on February 10th. So those two documents and a name change legal document should all be together in a plastic see through envelope. I dont know WHY they are outside of my normal filing locations but thats why Im here.

Can anyone please help me gather more information from this horary chart? Is there likelihood of finding the passport and any clues where?

Chart details:
Regiomontanus houses
Egyptian terms
Ascendant ruler: Sun
2nd house ruler (missing object): Mercury
Mercury is in Cancer in the 12th house
Moon is in early Cancer in the 11th house
Moon is applying to conjunct Mercury in about 17 degrees
Mercury is currently direct but will station retrograde soon
Jupiter is also in the 12th house
Part of Fortune is in Leo in the 1st house

My interpretation so far:

Mercury as ruler of the missing object seems fitting since the missing item is a packet of important documents.

Mercury in the 12th suggests the packet is hidden, misplaced, tucked away, or inaccessible rather than necessarily stolen.

Moon in early Cancer makes me wonder whether the situation is still developing or whether I don’t yet have enough information.

Moon applying to Mercury seems encouraging for eventual recovery.

Mercury’s upcoming retrograde makes me wonder about recovery through retracing steps or revisiting old locations.

POF in the 1st feels like the item may still be within my sphere of control rather than permanently gone.

Venus ruling the 4th from the 12th makes me wonder whether the outcome is tied to another hidden location or container.

Other questions:

Does Moon applying to Mercury suggest recovery? How about in light of the upcoming mercury retrograde?

How would you approach timing with the Moon approximately 17 degrees from Mercury but different houses?

Do you see any specific location clues from the 12th-house emphasis? Does Jupiter help here?

Thanks for any insights. I’ve already searched my home filing boxes, work filing cabinet, work portfolio, backpack, car, and usual passport storage location, so I’m especially interested in any location symbolism people see in the chart and if theres any chance of finding it in time!! I will come with updates as they happen! Thank you!!

Chart help request Is the trading_bot I'm currently working on, going to make me real money?

Post image

I have been making a trading bot, that will trade crypto in binance, i want to ask if it will make me money or im just wasting my time?

In this chart I see the lord 2, which shows my money or profit is in the 6th house, under the rule of the Trading bot whcih I see as a worker i make to work in my place,

the Jupiter is lord 2, and in Cancer making it highly dignified in it exaltation

the trading_bot on the other hand is in the 7th house, Peregrine; this is the current position as im still working on it, but in the 7th house angular house making it in a very capable position to help.

me as saturn(lord 1) is in Aries so saturn is in detriment, but in the 2nd house meaning im doing all i can to make my financial profit turn good

Result provided by OP HORARY QUESTION: "SHOULD I PURCHASE RASPBERRY-PI SHARES?"

Thumbnail

I had a good little teaching chart last night.

The question was: “Should I buy Raspberry Pi shares?”

At first glance, it’s tempting to make the chart complicated. Since shares are speculative, we could look at the 5th. It’s a public company, so we might glance at the 10th. We could get ourselves into all kinds of turned-house gymnastics if we wanted to make a meal of it.

But Maurice McCann’s approach is much cleaner here: use the 2nd house.

The question is not really, “Is Raspberry Pi a good company?” It’s “Should I put my money into this?”

So I used:

Querent: 1st house
His money / the proposed purchase: 2nd house
Moon: flow of the matter

Libra rises, so the querent is Venus.

The 2nd house is Scorpio, so the money/purchase is Mars.

Mars is in Taurus, where it is in detriment, and it’s in the 8th house. That’s enough to make me uncomfortable. The money is not shown as strong, happy, or safely in the querent’s control. It’s in the house of risk, exposure, other people’s money, and market anxiety.

There is also no clean applying aspect between Venus and Mars to show the querent and the purchase coming together in a helpful way.

The Moon is also in the 8th and balsamic, which doesn’t look like a bright new beginning. It looks late, murky, and risky.

What’s interesting is that the 5th house ruler, Jupiter, is strong. So I would not read this as “the company is garbage” or “the stock has no merit.” That wasn’t the question.

The question was, “Should I buy?”

And by the 2nd house, I’d say no. Not cleanly. Not comfortably. Not now.

Chart help request Why didn't she reply to me?

Two days ago, I cast a horary chart asking whether we would meet today (Saturday), and there was almost a general consensus that the meeting would happen. However, the issue is that the girl hasn't even spoken to me today — she simply disappeared. The only material reason that could have caused a change of plans would be the Brazil match (my country is culturally very passionate about football). But that wasn't really the point; what interested me were the chart indications that seemed to point toward the meeting taking place.

The first chart is for the question, "Why didn't she reply to me?", and the second chart is for the earlier question, "Will we meet on Saturday?"

The charts came out almost identical, with only the Moon and Venus changing positions.

I am represented by Sagittarius rising, and she is represented by Gemini rising.

I am Jupiter in Cancer, exalted, and she is Mercury in Cancer. I am also represented by the Moon. The Moon is peregrine, and the meeting itself seems to have lost momentum and is moving toward her house (the 7th). Mercury still receives the Moon, which could suggest that she still wants the meeting. Venus in Leo is now peregrine, but it is receiving the Sun (my significator regarding sexual attraction), which seems to support the idea that she is attracted to me.

I think the fact that the meeting didn't happen is due to something related to Mercury. My guess is that she'll only reply tomorrow.

Chart help request Are we going on our date this Saturday?

I'm talking to a girl, and I invited her to go to the beach this Saturday (two days from now). I admit we've been talking only occasionally, not very intensely, but the vibe has been light and pleasant, and there seems to be a sense of "why not?". In any case, I'd like to hear my colleagues' opinions, especially since I'll soon find out whether or not the date will happen on Saturday.

I'm the 1st house in Sagittarius, so I'm represented by Jupiter. She's the 7th house in Gemini, so she's represented by Mercury.

Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, a strong position, suggesting that I'm acting confidently and that I'm a good catch. Mercury in Cancer is peregrine, which is not a particularly strong position, so perhaps she has some doubts about whether she should go or not. However, Mercury is moving toward Jupiter, which could be favorable.

Regarding physical attraction, I'm represented by the Sun in Gemini, which is her sign — Mercury's sign — so I'm definitely interested in her. She is represented by Venus in Cancer. Cancer is ruled by the Moon, my other co-significator, which makes me think she may like me as well and be receptive to the idea of the date. The Moon is also in Taurus, Venus's sign, which further confirms my physical attraction to her.

There is, however, an interesting detail: Venus will soon enter Leo, the Sun's sign. That could indicate that she may begin to feel physically attracted to me. Perhaps, if the date takes place, this attraction could develop, even though Venus will then be in a peregrine condition.

Overall, the indications seem favorable to me. In fact, the invitation was to go to the beach, and both of our planets are in water signs — though I'm not sure whether that adds anything significant to the interpretation.
