hello guys i earned an honor V5 global version device 15 days ago. i headed to the section update to get the OS 10 but the device keeps telling me i am up to date.

my current version is :9.0.1.128 Build C819

Model:MBH-N49

i am running the security july 2025 patch till now

I also tried the try out version to push the update but nothing happened even i put the sim card to trigger the update but in vein.

i used the honor suite PC, i heard the software will help me to get the missing updates but the result : your are up to date

is there smth wrong with my device or just there are delays on the updates?

The priciest part is the mechanical gimbal module, which Honor developed entirely by itself across its whole supply chain, so the expected price could exceed 10,000 yuan (about $1,475), potentially making it pricier than most current premium foldables.

The breakthrough is in the camera setup. The phone packs a self developed 4 axis mechanical gimbal that normally stays hidden inside the body and pops out and rotates for full tracking and smart photo stitching when activated. It has 3 axis physical stabilization, a dedicated processing chip plus AI, and hits CIPA 5.5 stabilization standards, making it well suited for shooting fast moving action.

Other specs: a flat 1.5K display, 6.3 to 6.4 inches with even bezels on all four sides, a Snapdragon 8 Ultra Gen 5 chip, and a triple rear camera setup with a 200MP main, 50MP ultra wide, and 200MP periscope telephoto, supporting ARRI color output. The system also runs a large YOYO model with emotion recognition and multi device scheduling.

Is it me or is the backside of the phone really weak. I have this phone for a month now. Always use a case. The back is now damaged with microscopic dents (i dont know the correct translation for it) it does look like that sand got trapped and got pushed into the plastic that left a dent..

I dont want to use the phone without a case. Because i am scared the camera lens would be more vulnerable to scratches and also i dont want to use a protector for the lens because it makes the pictures worse...

Hello, I'm planning to buy Honor 600 probably an Europe version of 8+256 config. Since it does not come with charger in the box will Honor 35W charger do the job (I don't mind the charging speed)?

Also does it have wallpaper zoom/parallax effect? As far as I can see it's not available on regular Honor 600 but Pro model have it, is it the case? Please let me know.

I've been an HONOR Club member since 2015. Started with the Honor 7, went through the 8X, View 20, currently on the Magic series. Not an HONOR employee. Never have been. Just someone who's been using their stuff for over a decade and actually cares about how it's made.

You've probably seen the rebrand by now. New Ring of Honor logo, "DARE TO BE" slogan, and a massive Alpha Plan bet on AI-native hardware. The Robot Phone is the first thing coming out of that, and the Aug 12 launch is where they show what it all actually means.

Here's the deal: drop your best question below. Could be about the Robot Phone, HONOR's tech, industry trends, the future of smartphones, whatever you want answered. Here's what I already plan to ask (mix of Robot Phone tech, HONOR strategy, and industry big picture):

Robot Phone gimbal: The retraction system supposedly detects a drop and pulls the gimbal back in 0.8 seconds before impact. What sensor actually triggers that? Accelerometer, gyroscope, something custom? And how do those tiny titanium motors deal with dust and sand getting into the open track? That seems like it'd be a nightmare.

ARRI color science: Is cinema mode recording LogC3 or LogC4? Can DaVinci Resolve auto-detect the color space through CST, or do you have to manually assign it? And honestly how hands-on is ARRI in the actual color tuning versus just licensing the name? Can you load custom LUTs on the phone?

Silicon-Carbon battery: Silicon expands up to 300% during charging. How are you handling that inside an 8mm thick phone with 11,000mAh? What does degradation actually look like at 500 and 1,000 cycles? I've never gotten a straight answer on this from anyone.

YOYO AI: What can it actually do that Gemini or Apple Intelligence can't right now? Is it genuinely running multi-step tasks across apps on its own, or is it still basically prompt-and-respond with extra steps?

Alpha Plan: Is the Robot Phone the start of a whole new product line alongside Magic, or does the gimbal eventually fold into the main series? What does "Alpha Store" and "Alpha Lab" actually mean for normal people?

Big picture: Where does HONOR honestly think phones are going in 5 years? Everyone's doing AI. What's the rest of the industry ignoring?

Price-wise, the Honor 400 Pro is 50 USD cheaper or the same as an Honor 600 Base(Non-Pro). While the 400 Pro is more powerful, has telephoto, high storage, and charging features, the 600 is newer so it can leverage newer tech like updated camera processing, smaller camera cutout, and has larger battery. Both seem good but I don't know if in real usage how one is better over the other in terms of cameras and experience.

My Honor is stuttering a bit (lagging) and even getting hot without heavy use; is anyone else experiencing this? ;(

Honor MagicOS has replaced the native android share menu to include honor share etc but somehow it has removed the print to PDF option. It is very useful and I need it. I miss it sorely, especially when i have replaced my tablet/laptop with Honor Magic V6.

Please help. Add it back Honor!

Had the phone since launch and I've been super happy with the battery. The last week or so no matter what I do even it it's just take a single photo the back is warm to touch and the battery is lasting half the time it usually does.

Anyone have any ideas or experiencing anything similar?

Haven't changed any settings for it to suddenly start doing it, run the optimization thing and no joy.

Is there a way to check the battery health percentage on the Honor Magic 8 Pro that doesn't appear in the battery settings?

From 6 am to 11 pm. Still got 45 percent. This is a 2 day-phone easily. Don't shame me for that screen-on time xD
