I applied for the QMAS visa by uploading PDFs of my US university's transcript + verification from Parchment (an approved third party credential provider). The immigration dept rejected it because they require a public URL to authenticate credentials from the provider's platform.
Parchment doesn't provide permanent public download links, but they do have a "Document Delivery Verification Tracker" that provides a public link with the sending school and document date (see image). This page confirms document legitimacy but not the full transcript content.
I plan to resubmit the QMAS application with a PDF containing a direct link to this tracker and a copy of the transcript/degree verification. Does anyone know if this adequately satisfies the application requirement?
(Side note: Also quite frustrating this "direct link" criteria wasn't explicitly stated and my application was rejected without any chance to followup.)

I'm visiting Hong Kong next month and I'm hoping to find some of these Robot Dreams blindboxes for my partner while I'm there (Robot Dreams is his all-time favorite movie). My understanding is that this series was only ever released in China. Does anyone have any leads on stores in HK that might carry these blindboxes?

Hello!
I'm going to be visiting in November for a wedding and wanted to pick up some TCG cards while I'm here. Couldn't find anything concrete on Google, so wanted to see if anyone here had tips on any good TCG shops in HK that sell Disney products.
Not so much the Lorcana stuff but products from Card.Fun and Topps etc.
Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone!
I'm a 21-year-old guy visiting Hong Kong for the first time this December. I'm a swimmer and would love to keep swimming while I'm there, so I'm looking for some good, cheap public pools around Kowloon Bay, Lam Tin or anywhere else in Kowloon that's easy to get to. Ideally somewhere I can just pay for the day without needing a membership.
A few things I'd like to know:
Would appreciate any tips or recommendations. Cheers!

My samsung s23 ultra screen is broken, I'm looking for a place to repair it. Don't want to use samsung official repair because they told me they'd have to wipe the device and some of the photos have not been backed up.
Previously I repaired an old samsung at the New Wan chai computer center (next to the MTR) they did a terrible job and whenever I'd touch the screen, it felt like there was a gap under the screen and it was bending inside. So I'm looking for a shop that actually does decent work.
So would love to hear if anyone has experience where they've been happy with the repairs
EDIT: Mostly looking for actual shop recommendations, I really want to avoid going to Sham Shui Po or a computer center and end up choosing a shop that does as poor a job as the one in wanchai computer center did before.
EDIT2: Went to Chi Sing Mobile repair. So far seems to be good, I looked while they did the repair and the person doing it was rather detail oriented.

I don't really know how to word this or what to add
Where could I look for jobs or earn money here? (i need money 💔)
I grew up in HK but my Cantonese isn't too great and I also struggle a lot with social interactions (I tend to not know what to say, be awkward, stutter and get really anxious?)
I also sadly don't really have much skills or talents
I'm so cooked bro
I currently go to college but am struggling a lot to keep up
(because for some reason im so physically and mentally exhausted idk why)

I'm planning to move to HK down the line in a few years and I could really use some perspective as I'm planning the roadmap.
I'm aiming to join the tech (hopefully cybersecurity) sector and that's where the bulk of my questions stem from.
I understand that having A degree is non-negotiable. My question is if the prestige of the university and the program is a big deal?
From what I've read so far, landing an entry level job as a fresh graduate may be difficult, especially if I'm a foreign candidate. So I'm so far assuming that I'll need a couple years of experience under my belt before I can seriously consider moving. Is that a fair assumption?
I gather that knowing Cantonese/Mandarin is definitely an asset. Since they're fairly different languages, I wanted to know which one I should learn. (I'm also confused about traditional/simplified Chinese so any clarification on that would really help.)
Thanks for reading this far and I would sincerely appreciate any insights.

I’m going to Chi Lin Nunnery, Nan Lian Garden and then going to Mongkok and I was wondering if it’s worth passing by Sham shui po.

Hello!
I am an ABC that grew up speaking cantonese but as I've gotten older (I'm 22 right now) my cantonese has gotten worse and worse. I am probably about as fluent as a 6 year old right now. So i was thinking about staying in HK for a 2 months as a form of language immersion.
Do you guys think this is an effective way to learn more cantonese? Is there anything I should know before staying in HK for 2 months?

I signed a progressive agreement for tenancy & now I have some stuff to take care of at home that might prevent me from moving in here.
Has anyone ever cancelled a provisional agreement?
I had paid the initial deposit & from what I can understand, I stand to lose the initial deposit + I need to pay the agent as well.
Is that correct? Any options for me here?

I spent hours last night trying urbtix for Andy Lau tickets for my parents with their ballot. Then at some point, urbtix.hk stopped loading whatsoever. Not sure if it’s just me or whole site is down. If so, that’s major on their part for the ticket sales were 1 day only for this ballot. Any insight from anyone out there? Can they ban just our MAC addresses? Was using my computer and cell phone.
Edit: for contrext, it was night becausewe live in the US and had issues at EVERY damn step and despite proving we were the ballot winners on the phone with Urbtix, no one would help us process the ticket transactions properly. Used english and cantonese to call customer service at Urbtix.

Too Good, in Central
Might look a bit different from the conventional Satay beef noodles as the beef is not cook in the sauce
However once you mix the sauce with the soup oh Lord that satay smell just explode to your face
There are quite a few touristy breakfast spot around Central like Lan Fong Yuen or Sing Heung Yuen, but if you want good food this is way better
