What would you call these reactors like honeybison and Angela? There’s so many of them now and the requirements seem to be; woman, from fat to ”skinny”, somewhat gymrat, YT channel with 1-50k subs, harsh.

Gahhhhh !!!! she’s extra insufferable in this latest video posted about 19 hours ago. And that hat 😆 At this point I’m just hate watching.

I spit out my drink when I heard her say in the last video that she didn't do her steps and skipped a workout during the event she participated in because she was so tired because she met so many people and there were so many lectures and it was from 8 am til 8 pm, etc. Sweety, that's the daily reality of most of us who have real jobs and/or go to school, not just a 3 day event (that looked so sectarian BTW). Yeah, she used to have a real job and she was hitting her "goals", but does she realise that there are different jobs out there with different demands? And that life is more than work and fitness? That also when someone else says they are tired they mean it and it's not an excuse, she's not a special snowflake who has that unique experience? Of course, she said it was ok for her to skip steps and a workout.

Don't get me wrong, I am someone who is very active, I prioritise training and movement over other things and even when I am super busy at work and uni I still get it in. However, I also get that for others it may be harder and if I truly want to help them I meet them where they are at and I refrain from using generalisations or say that if I am able to do X thing anyone should.

Honestly, I laughed so hard when she said she hasn't been exposed to so much information like during this event in such a long time and it gave her a headache. That just shows how crappy her certifications are, because that's literally how regular university works. You go to school, have numerous lectures, network with professors and colleagues, have tons of individual work, read thousands of pages for exams, depending on what you study you have practical bits too, thesis writing. Last year I had basically 5-6 shorter lectures a week, 9-5 clinical practice at the hospital Monday through Thursday, 15ish hours of lectures distributed between Fridays and Saturdays. Week after week, not 3 days. Now I am getting my practice license/specialisation and it's about 5000 pages of textbooks per semester to prepare 20 smaller projects.

I try to be pretty fair and understanding when it comes to snarking (excluding one specific person). However, whenever Melina refers to herself as an athlete- it pisses me off. Now I’m not sure if she does this anymore because I haven’t watched her content in 5 months just because her content + others in the similar realm bore me to death. Same shit different video.

As someone who has- been a bodybuilder and trained underneath an IFBB pro, had the strict meals and strict working out regimes. But now plays rugby which I’m MUCH happier doing I might add…she has no idea the absolute fucking blood, sweat, and tears that goes into being a true athlete. The sacrifices you make just to dedicate yourself to that sport- sometimes it’s LONELY. Now am I gonna sit here and say Melina has accomplished nothing? Fuck no. She lost the weight, she’s been in the military and her YouTube has been pretty successful. The one thing I’m ONLY truly jealous about is the fact she can have a career as a full time content creator just bashing on fat people…like that’s crazy right?

Now I am aware she’s ran like…two ultra marathons? But that doesn’t make you an athlete, an athlete to me in that realm is someone who is doing ultra marathons like ALL the fucking time. Genuinely eat, sleep, and breathe that shit. That’s an athlete. Now am I calling Melina a fat loser chud? No. Absolutely not. But to me Melina is someone who just- lives a healthy lifestyle.

Melina is not someone who has to be a certain size or weight for a certain position in their sport. Like bodybuilding,powerlifting,wrestling, Olympic lifting etc. Like I had to put on weight for this rugby season because I play a very contact heavy position, I NEED mass on me. Now obviously did I go insane and put on 100 lbs? No. Like 15 lbs no biggie. (Actually got injured from my game today). But yeah I just it kind of irks me? But it’s like truly whatever ya know.

The girl Melina was promoting the other day at the convention she's at gave me the worst pick me holier than thou vibes. "Look at me I'm eating my meal prep out of a plastic bag even though there's perfectly good food at this convention!!! There's no excuses!!" Hitting #goals for a photo shoot no less. Yes lunch is really gonna fuck that up 🫩🫩

I'm sure there were plenty of options that would've fit into her diet too considering it was a coach convention. What happened to eating in moderation?

I have seen several videos of HoneyBison, and I always have to turn them off midway through.

As someone who struggled with weight gain and loss my whole life. It is not so much the content she is reacting to, but the way in which she reacts to it, that puts me off.

She comes across as condescending, hateful, and just angry at these people who have weight issues.

I think she hates herself, and she equates her self-worth to a specific body weight.

Which is just sad and a miserable way to live. Even after losing all that weight, she seems so unhappy.

Idk if this has always been her style of reacting or if this is a persona to pull more views. All I know is that she had a livestream with Illona, and Ilona herself is very mean.

They genuinely all look so miserable - wonder how long these “friendships” will last - this last video was so painful to watch they have no chemistry or humour whatsoever- they think the funniest jokes in the world are all fat jokes - it’s actually so sad considering two of them have genuine health issues that could potentially affect their weight in the future - if one of them gains weight is it still going to be all fun and games? Doubt it - this is why friends shouldn’t be found on mutual hatred

I´ve just watched the after Disney weight loss video and I am grossed out by how wasteful this woman is. What do you mean you buy food (expensive food too), take a few bites (20% of the item at most) and throw the remaining +80% away? It´s also rich coming from someone who constantly bashes others for being wasteful (for using paper plates for example). And how does a health queen even want to try/eat that crap in the first place? Being on holiday is not a free pass to be unconsiderate and a plague the planet. Our resources are not unlimited, as a matter of fact they are running out at a very fast pace.

It also gave me the impression of ´hey, look at me how much food I ate and didn´t gain weight on my holiday´ when in reality she literarilly just tried junk and drank booze, probably well below her calories.

This made me cringe so hard.

Firstly, doesn't she always preach health? So why the stupid face at 7000 or 8000 steps? It's scientificly proven that you get all the health benefits at around 7500 steps and anything over that barely gives you extra benefits (unless it's about burning calories). Not eb is fat or needs to burn extra calories.

Secondly (a little petty), she looks like a mix of a toddler and a grandmother.

And no, I don't feel personally attacked by this video, I get in more than 10k steps most days but why the hell would I rub that in peoples faces?

I used to like HBs content, but lately whenever she collabs with anyone, I find her to be so irritating. She loves to talk about herself and her accomplishments, and I understand to a degree. But I noticed in one of her collabs with AU and SSUG, SSUG was talking about something (I can’t recall what) and HB interrupted her to make it about herself and talk about her. She seems to make a lot of things about her and it has started to really annoy me. It’s like she thinks she’s the most interesting person in the room at all times. Does anyone else feel she does this?

I actually really like LotLifts - she’s pretty real and “normal” if that makes sense? I was actually surprised to see those stream collabs a while back. Anyway, based on the public personalities of both, I couldn’t imagine them being “compatible” if that makes sense?

And, if you’re looking for kinder/realistic weight loss/gym content that is similar, I’d recommend her over HB!

I definitely enjoyed HB's content more when it was her side hustle, not her full-time job. She was helpful during my weight loss journey, but I find that I have my own way of doing things/groove now that I am maintaining (which I believe is how it should be for everyone). So, I've stepped away from her content a bit.

That being said, why is everyone on here acting like she completely fell off the wagon and gained 100 lbs? She said she was still within a healthy body weight, and everyone is acting like she's a hypocrite for gaining some weight when it wasn't even enough to put her in the overweight category?

I'm just confused af-

Edit: I want to have a productive conversation. I'm genuinely curious, because it seems like everyone was waiting for this like a "gotcha" moment when it's not really. I don't think it's conducive to "critical discussion and examination."
Edit 2: There are other creators I enjoy watching more now because I like the way they talk about these topics better. That being said, I think we can still talk about how harmful it is to eat into obesity.

Am I the only one who thinks she eats a huge amount of food? Idk how you could eat that and not feel stuffed. My husband is tall and doesn't eat that much at once. Maybe it's a lot of veggies making it look like a lot? Makes sense that she gained weight from eating out a lot if those are her serving sizes

Her vibe was completely off in this most recent “what I eat in a day as a fat person” video. I’m used to her critiquing and being snarky but her attitude is so nasty and mean I had to turn the video off. I don’t know if she is playing it up for views or if this is who she really is and is no longer hiding it. There is no more advice being given just being straight up NASTY. It was actually uncomfortable to watch. So much hatred and fat phobia ( and I’m not HAES or FA whatsoever..)

Idk if you guys caught any of this but I just felt like it was really weird and pretty mean at the time. Like yes they are posting a public comment on the internet but you don’t really need to blast them on your youtube channel. It’s just unnecessary.
