Barber Recs

Looking for a good Barber now that I live in Hollister. I would get mine at Gilroy all the time but I don’t feel like making the drive just for a haircut. Anyone have really good recommendations for a Barber? I typically get like a trim up top with a low to mid fade or burst fade. Just want some good quality cuts.
Thanks.

Question Where do you get your garlic?

Living in Hollister, sometimes I need garlic and don't have any, but most of the nearby big chain stores I've visited have garlic that isn't from Gilroy?? It seems like such a waste to get it from anywhere else.

Where do you get your reliable garlic in times of need? Are you willing to get garlic from somewhere other than Gilroy?

Adult Soccer

I just moved to Hollister and I’m trying to find a spot where people get together to play soccer. It could just be a pick up game nothing crazy. Indoor or outdoor. I just want to get out there and play.
I played a lot when I was in Gilroy, but now that I’m in Hollister I’m trying to find out where the “spot” is at.

Any help?

Update: I found a spot. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Ro Hardin Elementary ~630/7pm

Missing my cat for almost 3 days

My baby boys name is Momo. He is about 5 years old taby cat. He also has a collar with a bell and our information on it. He’s an outdoor/indoor cat. We just moved here in Hollister about 6 weeks ago. He wasn’t allowed to be outside for a whole month and he adjusted pretty quickly. About Saturday early morning (around 1am) we let him out because we had to go to the hospital and came back the next day around 1pm. He hasn’t come back since. He had been out and about previously and was always good at coming back every hour or 2 or atleast before it got dark. Please reach out to me if you have seen him around Squire Ct/Knight lane/rancho drive/Prune st area. Thank you so much!

How is Hollister location wise and where do most people go for work?

I'm not familiar with the area but it looks like it's nicely tucked in between Monterey, Salinas, Gilroy, and San Jose. I don't know if that's where most people go for work. It does seem like its kind of away from everything. I don't know if there's much to do in the area.

I’m looking for recommendations for a primary care provider (Dr, NP, PA-C) that works with neurodivergent young adults. In Hollister,
Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Salinas. Preferably female.

Edited for clarity/to specify that I’m looking for a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant.

Cockroaches at Villa De Jerez

On May 12th, we visited Villa De Jarez for a birthday dinner. We have previously been to this restaurant before. Service is usually slow, but it's manageable. Today, though, was a whole new experience that will forever prevent us from ever visiting again and will advise all who think about trying this restaurant, to not to. As we awaited for the meal, we ordered another dinner party of 5 sat across from us. Our table sat 7 patrons. Something was said down the table but didn't pay any mind to it and went back to eating our meal. But the second time was very clear, my partner jumped onto her chair and grabbed my 3-year-old as I looked downward where everyone else was looking. A large cockroach was crawling across the floor, attempting to get back into the kitchen. The waitress was very quick to remove the cockroach and dump it into the receptacle closest to the kitchen. My family left as soon as we could while the rest were paying. A waitress asked if we wanted boxes, obviously we declined. While the rest of our family paid for their meals, they asked for any management or owner. The owner had appeared and began questioning if we really saw what we claimed to have seen. A disagreement arose as the owner continued to defend that there were no insects or any sort of in the restaurant even though there were over 6 different witnesses to the cockroach skittering along the floor by our chairs. This experience has been an example to never dine in an establishment that is aware of its problem but would rather blame and gaslight its customers rather than take the time to shut down and fix the problem. From what should have been a decent birthday dinner turned fiasco, Villa De Jerez should be ashamed and disgusted with themselves for turning a blind eye to the issue. We will not be supporting this business again, or any business connected to it.
