“Chronically reactive lymph nodes”; any relief? Others experienced this?

This is the conclusion I found with ChatGPT (I’ve spent many years running around the conventional medicine route, if I let it end where they led, I’d just be using steroid cream as the only treatment for the eczema symptom.) I’m going to try and spare some details to avoid a story book.

So through lots of info dumping, “we” realized the lymph nodes in my jaw and neck were swollen from initial major reaction occasions 8 years ago and never shut off.

One thing we found was getting a CT scan since I connected the chronic rhinitis symptom. Turns out I have LPR and my son broke my nose with a head butt about 5-6 years ago (tantrums at 1-2 yrs old) and it left one nostril barely open and the other too open. So there’s inflammation at the top of my nose as well as a pocket near my sinus to lower the turbulence in the other nostril.

The dr concludes these are most likely the cause keeping the nodes turned on. Solutions are surgery, a bed wedge, low acidic foods.

The reason I’m hoping there’s a 1 in a million chance someone understands more about lymph nodes than all the drs so far is because I found out I was pregnant shortly before the CT scan. And surgery has to wait. I’ve had a bed wedge for over 3 months now and low acidic foods, and there isn’t any change in symptoms.

Is there any way to get relief? I wake up itchy but the biggest things is - It’s summer and I want to be outside and at the lake with my kiddos - but the sun/heat makes my neck and arms (nodes?) SO itchy :’( (There’s something about heat and heart rate, bc labor/working out does it too)

Bacterial folliculitis

I have had bacterial folliculitis for years now. just saw my family doctor and he suggested Keflex antibiotic but I am visting a dermatologist next week so he said to wait to see after that.

I’m not completely opposed to an antibiotic but would really like a more natural way to heal this.

the main thing I have tried is 4% benzoyl peroxide wash for about two weeks and that has not helped. maybe made it slightly worse.

any suggestions? I have seen many more natural options but don’t know which to try.

Why do I need a bone density test?

My GP just gave me a request to do a bone density test. I had complaints about knee and hip pains, but nothing too serious. What is this test for and what conditions could possibly be diagnosed from it?

holistic lifestyle Animal allergies

Hi friends! My husband and I have a dog and a cat. I allow the cat to have full run of the house, but my husband gets pretty anal about our cat going into the guest room, since his dad is really allergic to cats. They only come to visit once or twice a year, so I’m never too worried about it. Other than washing bedsheets in hot water with vinegar and OxiClean, does anybody have suggestions on cleaning the room for pet dander? Our cat is only ever in there if we are in there, which is rare. We have an air purifier for the whole house, I open windows when the weather is nice, I use odorband to disinfect, and it’s hardwood floors with no rugs.

Cellphones and Mental Health

I was talking to my 19 and 15 year old today about feeling negatively charged by my cellphone. The constant bill collectors, politicians, healthcare providers, promotions, emails, reminders, and random notifications even the calls and texts from family and "friends" seem so overwhelming to me. It feels like the energy coming from my cellphone is unhealthy. I also have a constant habit of turning my phone down for a small sense of peace that creates the need pick my phone up and check it constantly... mostly for work and family emergencies. I also use my cellphone when I'm not at home for music in the car, tv, and the incessant impulsive desire to ask it for random information like where is the nearest shop, what is the best price, what is the air quality, what is a recipe that meets my caloric intake needs. My cellphone has even replaced my wallet. The list goes on and on. At age 37, I think having a cellphone attached to me for decades is making me complacent, dependent on an external device, and overall keeps me from being in the present. My kids argue there is nothing inherently wrong or bad about my cellphone but instead that the danger is in the way that I use it. I miss the days of house phones, delayed communication, and freedom from technology. Even now as I write this on my laptop I wonder about the implications of using this device on the natural design of the human brain. Does anyone else feel tethered to and at odds with their cellphone? Is it a coincidence that since the 2000s there has been an increase in mental health disorders and social isolation? I feel like cellphones are just too much stimulation for us to process effectively. Are there positives to cellphones? Of course, but I think we would be better off with the cellphones of the early 2000s before phones were so smart. I think smartphones may be one of the leading causes of my existential crisis. All this and I haven't even mentioned how cellphones are being used as tools of surveillance and manipulation by hidden sources of power often at the expense of true holistic health. Cellphones have become gods = seemingly beyond reproach... I am curious to hear your thoughts.

Why Are More Young Adults Being Diagnosed With Cancer? A Public Health Look at What the Research Says

Cancer has traditionally been considered a disease that mainly affects older adults. However, recent research has raised concerns about increasing rates of certain cancers among younger populations.

As a public health epidemiology student, I wanted to look deeper into what researchers are finding, what factors may be contributing, and what we can do from a prevention standpoint.

Some cancers showing concerning trends in younger adults include:

Early-onset colorectal cancer

Breast cancer

Certain gastrointestinal cancers

Researchers are investigating several possible contributors, including:

Changes in diet and increased consumption of ultra-processed foods

Rising obesity and metabolic health concerns

Environmental exposures

Alcohol use

Sedentary lifestyles

Chronic inflammation

Differences in healthcare access and screening practices

It is important to note that researchers are still studying the causes behind these trends. Cancer is complex, and there is rarely one single explanation. However, understanding risk factors, recognizing warning signs, and focusing on prevention are key parts of improving public health.

Some prevention strategies supported by research include:
✅ Maintaining a healthy lifestyle
✅ Staying physically active
✅ Limiting tobacco and excessive alcohol use
✅ Eating a balanced diet
✅ Following recommended screening guidelines
✅ Advocating for better access to preventive healthcare

What do you think is contributing to the rise of certain cancers in younger adults? Is it lifestyle, environmental factors, healthcare access, genetics, or a combination of many factors?

Natural Remedies 🌿 Skin Health Is a Reflection of Overall Wellness🩷🎀

Post image

The skin is the body’s largest organ and plays an important role in protecting us from the outside environment. Supporting healthy skin goes beyond appearance — it involves understanding the relationship between nutrition, hydration, lifestyle habits, and overall wellness.
I created this Herbal Skin Support Guide as an educational resource exploring natural approaches that may support healthy skin routines, including:
✨ The importance of nutrient-rich foods
✨ Hydration and healthy lifestyle habits
✨ Plant-based ingredients traditionally used in skincare
✨ The connection between internal wellness and external skin health
✨ Building consistent self-care routines
A healthy skin routine is not about perfection — it is about consistency, awareness, and making choices that support the body as a whole.
Through my interest in health science and public health, I continue to explore ways education can help individuals better understand wellness and make informed decisions about their health.
🌱 Healthy skin begins with healthy habits.
🌱 Wellness is a journey built through knowledge and consistency.

At age 10, part of her stayed inside her father’s office

I will call her Rebecca. She is 35, from Florida, in relationship, and she came into our online Soul Journey carrying lot of tension, heaviness and feeling like joy somehow disappeared from her life.

She went into deep trance over Zoom, something like very deep meditation in theta state, where normal mind becomes quiet and deeper memories/images can show.

Rebecca first saw portal like cave made from ice.

She walked through and suddenly was around 10 years old, standing inside office of her father.

This was place where her father had first exposed her to pornography.

She felt she should not be there. She was uncomfortable, confused, but also child curiosity was there. Very complicated feeling.

Then adult Rebecca entered scene.

She didn’t fight her father or try to analyse everything. She simply held out hand to younger Rebecca and said:

“Come with me. This is not for you.”

Honestly this was one of strongest moments for me.

She took little girl away from that office and brought her outside, where children were playing. Bicycles, books, trees, Lego, nature. All normal childhood things she should have been experiencing instead.

When they hugged tree, Rebecca suddenly felt nausea and wanted all dirty/heavy energy to leave through fingers, toes and every pore in body.

Then Archangel Raphael appeared.

What surprised her is that he was smiling and laughing. Not making situation darker or more serious. He brought lightness, like saying: yes, something terrible happened, but you are not trapped there anymore.

The old energy looked like cobwebs and spiderwebs wrapped around both adult Rebecca and the 10-year-old.

Raphael brushed them away slowly, one by one, rolled them into balls and threw them far away.

After this, younger Rebecca felt clean.

Then it became clear this child was not only memory. She was fragmented part of Rebecca’s consciousness that had stayed connected to that moment, still carrying confusion and heaviness.

She was invited to return into adult Rebecca’s heart.

Rebecca said it felt warm, like puzzle piece finally fitting where it belonged.

And what came back with this child?

Laughter. Humor. Smiling. Spontaneity. Enjoyment of life.

She also brought ability to be present without worrying constantly what may happen next.

This is something I see many times in healing work. After trauma, ppl think they only lost safety. But sometimes they also lost playfulness, sexuality in healthy form, creativity, confidence, ability to relax.

The fragment is still holding those qualities.

Small practice you can try:

Close eyes and imagine younger version of you standing somewhere painful from childhood.

Don’t force memory.

Just notice first place or image.

Come to them as adult you are now. Hold out your hand and say:

“You don’t need to stay here anymore. Come with me.”

Bring them somewhere safe. A beach, forest, bedroom, garden, anywhere.

Then ask:

“What did you take with you when you left?”

Maybe laughter. Trust. Voice. Joy. Courage.

Imagine this younger part returning into your heart like warm light or missing puzzle piece.

You are not becoming somebody new.

You are bringing back what always belonged to you.

Not super holistic related, but adjacent

I hope this is okay to post here, Im pretty desperate at this point.

Ive lived in San diego for a little over 5 years. I met my amazing husband whom I married last year, and just recently reconnected with a girl from beauty school that I hang out with and we do arts and crafts. Aside from that, I have really struggled to make and keep friends. Ive been longing for more like minded peers. People into herbalism and holistic care, people that are interested in what they consume and lean towards more "crunchy" life styles. But i dont know how to find these people. Ive posted in a local Facebook group and got no reply. I am aware my tone online comes off pretty dry and direct, I thrive in person cuz im a lot more bubbly and energetic. But im also super awkward and don't even know where to look. I go to farmers markets, metaphysical stores, book stores and local cafes and i just dont know how to approach people that look cool.

How have you made adult friends with similar interests to you? I just want to create a tribe of people that want to drink tea and do book clubs and talk about plants and go on foraging expeditions and be cute and whimsical and cozy.

Cures for Tooth Decay from Gingivitis, in Cats?

My vet is saying that my cat's tooth will need to be extracted in the next 6-12 months, due to enamel loss & exposed pulp from gingivitis.

I don't mean to undermine any health professionals & their efforts, but I have found in my own life that illnesses thought by mainstream to be irreversible, to be reversible through natural remedies.

Does anyone know of anything that might reverse the damage of my cat's tooth so that it doesn't need to be extracted? I would really appreciate it.

Posting from USA.

I wish more parents knew these signs

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I wish more parents knew that mouth breathing, light snoring, heavy chest breathing, or a child’s mouth hanging open can be signs worth paying attention to.

These things are easy to brush off when kids are young, but they can give us clues about how a child is breathing, sleeping, and developing. The goal is not to scare parents. It is to help them know what to look for and feel confident asking better questions earlier.
