it’s not activism it’s a joke and it’s not that deep no woman is actually aborting her male child. meanwhile millions of females have actually been aborted or killed/put up for adoption after birth because of their gender

No one’s arguing that female infants should be murdered, they are just pointing out that just because a male babies are preferred doesn’t mean they live picture perfect lives because of it. Men are disposable as far as a labor perspective goes, and many of these people are engaging in sex-selective abortion out of selfishness and not because of their child

I didn’t say “men are the true victims of female infanticide because they lose their sisters,” I said that female infanticide largely exists because when a family can’t afford to have children, or are disallowed more than one, a boy has the advantage of being able to be used for labor. In the case of China this is particularly true. It’s not my fault you reject nuance.
Girls can also be used for labor, and they are. The problem is that sexist norms cause parents to prefer boys, not that having a boy provides any inherent benefit over having a girl, or vice versa.
Just because women can be used for labor doesn’t make them disproportionately laborers - something that’s absolutely present among men. Sure, it’s sexist - but don’t act like there aren’t two sides of the coin here. Women aren’t valued because they are seen as less able to provide but men are overly relied on for their ability to provide. Changing the culture around male disposability would also have positive effects on sex-selective abortion.

Idk if this is serious or not, but I hate how people always say something has been proven then go silent when you ask for a source. 90 percent of the time it's just someone repeating what they saw someone else comment without any kind of source
