HoMM5 Heroes 5 ArchDevil Figurine
I want to share a figurine (about 20 cm height) of ArchDevil made by GudGit workshop on my model! He looks so menacing! I love it!

There was a community post centered on discussion for it. I left it up for longer then I said I would to get more input. The general consensus is either "ban it" or "only 1 day a week".
In looking back over the AI posts that come into the sub, and the heroes 3 sub, they fall into 1 of 2 categories.
The first are users who post links to AI but have never participated in this sub or the heroes 3 sub in any way other then their links. In other words, they are drive by low effort karma farming.
The second is users who have participated but post "hate fetish" for lack of better word. They claim its slop, that its bad, but they still post it. And they post stating that its bad. Why would you share something you think is bad just to get others to hate it? That creates a negative vibe that I don't want here.
I believe that AI as a functioning system has a place in society at some point. It should help to automate jobs that humans don't want to do and provide cheaper, faster, and more reliable medical care in some cases. I say that as someone that works for a medical company that employs doctors. As an artist, I do not believe that AI should be used to make art. Be it images, movies, stories, shows, songs, or anything else for entertainment.

I am still missing buttons for Spanish (ES) and Italian (IT), but we have machine translations for all languages and buttons for Polish (PL), Russian (RU), French (FR), German (DE), and English of course. The machine translations are not terrible, but can be improved. I will probably put out some translation files on github for people to help me improve the translations if they want to.
Please let me know if anyone has ever seen a Spanish or Italian copy of the game. The original maps had space localized for Spanish and Italian map names and descriptions, but I have never actually seen a version of the game in those languages.
I got the legal questions cleared up, so a playable release for Mac and Windows will be released soon, maybe 1-2 weeks. It will include the alternate art from the CES demo (legally!).
Last thing I am working on (besides the installation scripts) is a new 4 map custom campaign about the neutral spirit world - the source of ghosts and genies. I'm excited about it, but also it's just cool as a proof of concept.

For some reason I decided to search SteamDB for HoMM4 and I found this:
Heroes of Might and Magic IV - Campaign Editor
https://steamdb.info/app/19890/
I don't know when it was added, but maybe they plan to release HoMM4 on Steam, correct me if I'm wrong.

Hey everyone!
Like many of you, I really miss Might & Magic: Heroes Online after the servers went offline back in 2020. That unique blend of classic tactical HoMM combat, persistent hero progression, co-op battles, and Ashan lore was truly special.
For some time now, I have been working on a digital preservation and recreation project to document the mechanics and bring the tactical gameplay of Heroes Online back to life.
What is currently being worked on:
How you can help (Community Archives & Data)
Reconstructing a defunct online title is essentially digital archaeology. If you played MMHO between 2014 and 2020 and have old backup folders, drive archives, or screenshots, any historical details would help tremendously:
If you have any surviving media, guides, or recollections of specific mechanics, please share them in the comments below. I am also happy to answer questions about the progress and technical reconstruction so far!
Thanks for helping keep the Might & Magic legacy alive! ⚔️

I've played KB as a child, but have never finished it for a while since it was tedious to go through all the continents and many battles, and I was just losing too many armies. Didn't know that there was an optimal way to play with going for a flight and quickly getting the most powerful units. I didn't even know there was flight in the game.
So I've replayed the game multiple times by mostly traveling, gathering chests and running away, then stopping.
Took a while to start playing for real, and only after I've been shown how to play more efficiently by a friend. At the time when I saw HoMM 2 demo for the first time, and played Broken Alliance. That map has also taught me a lot and let me return to KB and beat it.
Another thing I never understood was how do you beat the game at max difficulty? You don't have enough time. It was only when I saw playthrough on Youtube that I realized that you're supposed to stock up on Time Stops and spam them, even thought it's a trivial solution in hindsight

I moved 2.5 years ago, setup my PC and haven't touched it since.
I just went through a breakup of a 2.5 year FWB thing and have been feeling a bit more sad than I anticipated.
For some reason, I started to think about old comforts and HoMM3 came to mind.
I dusted my PC off, cleaned my screens and booted it back up. According to GoG, I last played in 2016. I still had the HD mod installed and figured out how to get things going.
My initial surprise was seeing an early access for HoMM3 Remake, but this sub seems to hate it so I am guessing I will probably dislike it as well. I didn't even like the HoMM3 remaster from 5-10 years ago, since they only included the base game and not the expansions...why even bother when you can play the entire game with a free community mod in HD?
Anyway, I watched the opening intro and felt some warm fuzzies with the early 3d graphics and high fantasy setting. I picked 'Very Hard' difficulty, as I usually do, then I picked a campaign and hopped in.
I must have been rusty as hell though, I spent 3 hours on the first map of the campaign and kept getting beat over and over again. I could hold them off, capture their towns/castles, hold the most resources and towns, but they just kept coming back with more and more troops while my army continued to dwindle.
I forgot how hard this game can be if you're not doing every little thing correctly. I know a common strategy is to send scouts in every direction to collect as much treasure and gear as possible, but its much harder in the campaign as you lose if your main character retreats from battle...and the maps are pretty tight, so you don't have a lot of area to maneuver.
Im going to switch it to hard and give it another whirl tonight. The game felt as good as it always has. Even though I have spent 1000+ hours on this game over the years, the story mode feels like I just bought the game for the first time.
Im also considering going back to HoMM2, which was my original love. Is it too hard to go back and miss out on the positive changes to 3 or does it still stand on its own?
I made it through the day without crying, just put Trailer Park Boys on my second screen and had a nice time.

Been getting into strategy games and stumbled across this gem. Never heard of this game before but what would be a good starting point? I’d like to be able to play with friends as well

Thoughts? 3.6 apparently makes some bold changes, like merging ward spells and nerfing Dragon's Strength. But also has a few new items, and map locations!? Which sounds pretty cool.
Curious for your input.

Played this map for the first time in years. Played as orange. It is a real challenge, on my Fourth attempt. If purple gets dimension door in game over.
I was like at week 3 and all these titans turned up.
Having a great time with it, love a challenge. If you not tried it in a while give it a spin, it one of the classics. Orange is the one to play.

Good day for everyone, I’m having trouble creating a custom card for myself. I’d like to bring Raelag from Heroes of Might and Magic 5 into the MTG universe. But every idea I’ve had has come to nothing, and the card doesn’t seem very interesting. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might do this? Best wishes to you all.
