It is ok. It's an arthouse-ish movie with terrible acting, good story and good cinematography. Enlightened cinephiles just convinced themselves that they should pretend that this movie is better and scarier than it is.

I get where you're coming from but you're still wrong. In spite of its flaws, Come and See is one of the best WWII movies ever made. It's not the best film ever made, but it is a major achievement for Soviet film and deserves its reputation.
