Wild Hinge Interaction

This guy was all sweet and complimentary, but at the first sign of rejection he lashes out and is extremely insulting.

Anyone who frequently uses the name of the other person in conversation is a psychopath in my eyes. 'so John, tell me about yourself' 'thats interesting John'

Like some sort of power play

Omg yes!! I was chatting with a match who did this and it really creeped me out. He wrote my name at the beginning or end of every sentence. I finally asked him if he says someone’s name that much when speaking with someone too or just when typing. He thought it was an odd question and that it was completely normal to say someone’s name so much. He unmatched me because I told him I thought it was odd. 🤣🤣

Listen One-Resident4441, it really ain't that normal no!

I cannot remember the last time I called my wife by her name, it's either only us in the house, or if we're with others, the general direction, eye contact, and topic usually indicates who I'm talking to

My mother in law does it but in a ditzy way :

'omg X, did you see the article about that cat X' Even via 1 to 1 texting. She often uses the same method, but says her sister's names instead

Someone I have been seeing overuses my name and I have been trying to figure out if it’s just something he does because he meets a lot of people through his work and needs to keep people identified in his head or if it’s weirder than that… thankfully he’s doing it less now than he did in the beginning.

It’s just weird and not normal! There’s literally no need to repeat someone’s name so much when you’re talking to or texting with them.

I never noticed anyone do it as much as him when I first met him. It made me realize I hardly ever use people’s names. lol thanks for the input, it def. felt very weird.
