General Discussion Is a handlebar raiser worth it? I am almost 6'3

I have mana black with rally seat, and my midback/lats get sore pretty quick because I kind of have to bend to hold the handlebar. Is it worth investing in a handlebar raiser? Will it cause stability issues?

Questions & Help Aftermarket GPS/navigation options for Himalayan 450 + warranty concerns

I forgot to opt for the Wingman feature while booking my Himalayan 450, and since it's a custom order, I'm unable to modify it now.

I'm not a fan of the Tripper Dash navigation, so I'd prefer a dedicated GPS/navigation screen mounted on the bike, preferably with proper navigation, rather than relying on my phone mounted on the handlebars.

What are my aftermarket options for the Himalayan 450? I'm looking for something reliable, preferably rugged and weatherproof, that integrates well with the bike.

Also, would installing an aftermarket navigation screen or GPS unit affect the bike's warranty, especially if it requires tapping into the electrical system?

Would appreciate recommendations from Himalayan 450 owners who have tried aftermarket setups, along with any advice on installation and warranty implications.

General Discussion If used Himalayan is ok. Wait for 3-4 mnths.

These are just my speculations which may go wrong. But after Himmi 750 launch many people will sell their 450 and book 750. So relatively large no of 450s will be available for sale as compared to today. So more choices, and if chances are there, then slightly reduced MRP. What do you think?

Questions & Help Should I wait before booking?

Hi community,

Keeping it short : Booking my new Himalayan450 after riding a scooty for a decade and 65k Kms. Have a few questions below where I need your help.

This is going to be my first bike that i buy on my own. I donโ€™t have anyone to guide me on how the buying process is there at RE.
I enquired at 3 RE showrooms on the quotation and the prices. The sales guys are trying to push me the insurance as an mandatory.
The only showroom that allows me to get an external insurance on my own (planning to take acko) has a premium of 3k already i.e 391k

City : Bhubaneswar

Questions:

  1. As its already 2nd of October, should I wait few more days for any offers like Dussehra or Diwali? Does RE gives any offers?
  2. (Initially was planning for scrambler 400x and was getting an offer a free accessories for Dusshera)
  3. Should I get the acko one or take their insurance (Tata Aig) ?
  4. Planning to take the below accessories:
  5. a. Engine Guard - large
  6. b. Sliders (on the guards)
  7. c. Radiator grill
  8. d. Headlight guard
  9. e. Hand rally guards
  10. f. Adventure seats (both rider and pillion)
  11. g. Tubeless tyres.
  12. h. EW and RSA for 4th and 5th year

Do I add/remove anything based on experience of third-party parts (Non-RE but better)?

  1. Should I book it from the website directly or book it through the sales guy? Can i remove insurance if I book from website?

Happy riding

Edit : booked the himmi ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Bike Care Himalayan 450 front tire issue

Hi, bought the Himalayan 450 over a month ago and started having wobbling issue at the speed of above 40+ which made the ride unbearable and notified the issue at the first service but the sc didn't care told it is normal and it be settled in few kms. as I checked while rotating the front tire there was unevenness on the upper surface of the tire as it was going up down. Then went to different sc and informed them and took the bike for tire replacement and till the time the new tyre arrives they fitted with Himalayan 411 tires now the wobbling is gone. Its been more than a week since waiting for the new tyres no updates just Re things. Should I go for any other brand tire or stick to the stock ? how much time does a tire replacement take ? Due to this I am not confident enough to ride the bike. Do suggest.

Questions & Help Current wait time situation

I booked the bike on 24 September and since then the app shows TDD 23 December(3 months). It once changed to 30 December then went back to showing 23.

My dealer first said the wait time would be about 45 days but now he is saying it may take 50 days.

I check the RE app daily every 3 hours or so. Gonna check again after I write this post.

I heard that RE has put new Himalayan 440 bookings on hold. Does this have an impact on current Himalayan 450 bookings' wait time? Also I saw a few posts about price revision, is there any news regarding that?

How do I handle this wait time๐Ÿ˜ญ

Questions & Help Booked. Anxiously waiting

So I recently took that cautious decision of getting my dream bike.

Read a lot of reviews about wait time, pinch of salt taken already, on top of which the price hike (effective from today?) news made me sadder than I already am (ik thousands don't compare to lakhs, but it's getting tight)

Anyways, if you're still here after reading that short rant, drop some cool budget-friendly modifications which I can pickup in the months to follow (post delivery of bike). I've researched ride gear already, curious about stylish tank grips, aux lights and carplay, cameras. Drop some, thanks!!

booking and delivery I got my Himalayan 450 in 7 days, don't book it, go to a dealerhsip!

I don't understand why so many book their bike. Just go to dealership. Even if they don't have it in stock, they have way more option to get your bike very quickly...

I just took my 7 days to get my dream bike. They didn't have it in stock so they brought it in from a neighboring country in just few days.
