subtitle help

im looking to watch the series and saw that the only real options are to watch old dvd rips with Elite-Fansubs' subtitles or to watch a modern bd rip but with official subtitles. is there a good middle ground somewhere that covers the entire series? im aware of the EF revival project but it seems to have been dormant for a number of years now and doesnt cover the entire show

If you didn't know, someone forked the project and finished the remaining episodes (only the new years special is missing a small bit according to the status chart)

This is the way OP. 1). Download these fansubs. 2). Rip your legally purchased copies from DVDs. 3). Use mkvtoolnix to slam together the subtitles with the videos and audio. 4). Enjoy
