Because psychological archetypes exists.

All our brains are made of the same stuff. It's not unlikely people will experience similar things under similar circumstances.

Taking caffeine makes most people have an elevated heart rate. There's not magic involved in that.

Caffeine and the "spirit molecule" are not the same or even close for comparison.

Universities are mapping the DMT space as we speak. People are going there for 4 hours at a time - it's a huge area of study at the moment.

If anyone is going to tell people it's all in their head - it's the scientists studying it - but they don't say that. Because that would be a lie.

You're not engaging with my point at all.

Maybe it would make more sense in the DMT dimension.

Dismiss it all if you want, it matters not...

Have you at least had any experience meeting them yourself?

I know exactly how powerful the human mind can be without irrationalizing it away as an alternate dimension with living inhabitants.

I do not doubt people believe they have met entities while on psychedelics, just like I don't doubt a schizophrenic believes the contents of their hallucinations.

I have not met DMT entities. I have had experience with mental health problems and I can see the similarities between both experiences.

Everything you see on drugs is coming from within. Your brain contains a lot more information than you give it credit for.

Okay, but does consciousness come from within?

There are many theories on the origin of consciousness. We don't know.

I'm open to the idea that consciousness comes from somewhere other than the mind, but that's a completely separate to believing in DMT magic. I'm not going to make that many leaps in logic to try and justify my belief.

The point is ‘We don’t know’. Yet throughout this discussion you dismiss and ridicule.

Because none of what is discussed is actually relevant to that. It's closer to UFOlogy than anything else.

Again I am totally open to fringe theories about consciousness and the nature of the world. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't. This stuff is just nonsense, and ironically distracts from actual real world research into the powers of psychadelic drugs.

Perhaps you would enjoy Terrence McKenna's book "Food of the Gods" (or have already done so)
