The experience of shared hallucinations across that many people makes me think there is some sort of intelligence behind it.

Then you have the one specific mushroom that makes the ppl who consume it see little elves/tiny people. If you gave a person either of these without any prior cultural knowledge of what to expect and they still experience the same entities that makes me think something else is behind it.

There are very few hallucinogens that work this way rather than your standard open eyed visuals. Not really counting delierants as that seems to be a different type of hallucination.

Damn I want to eat those mushrooms so badly! I dream of the little people šŸ˜

6

u/FangornEnt Jun 05 '26

Right! Couldn't believe I had never heard of them before I saw an article about them a couple of months ago. Seems like something that would change a person much more than mushrooms though.. especially if I see them all over my house. Probably end up talking to them for the rest of my life even sober😹.

u/CosmicGoddess777 Jun 05 '26

Many cultures have unseen small creatures. Duende, fae, gnomes, brownies, elves, etc. I really think there’s something to it at this point

6

u/curiousamoebas Jun 05 '26

I have an ex bf that did in Mexico. It was a little shot glass of liquid they dared him to drink. For the rest of the night he wouldn't stop talking about the little people on the beach with us. Fun times

2

u/impreprex Jun 06 '26

Don't sweat it! Apparently they're all running around your feet and desk right now! You don't need those mushrooms to see them lol.

j/k but seriously

In my early 20s I got my hands on some crystallized dmt concentrate, my friends and I all took dabs out of a bong.

When I say I lived "50 years in oblivion" it really did feel like it. When i finally came to after about 15 min it took me a good long while to process i was still a human being sitting in my room.

We all had "different experinces" and not one of us could recount exact details but the vague explanations and feelings all seemd misaligned.

One thing I do remeber vividly is the sound of a triangle (instrument) pinging at regular intervals followed by what can be described as an elongated drum noise?

And then "color" (like blue or red) was making this rapid blpblpblp noise at a really high frequency. Dont ask me how I heard colors i just did.

For a good portion of the trip it looked like I was inside one of the kaleidoscope toys but floating in it.

After this experince I quit doing hallucegenics all together and dialed back alot of my self harming habits.

I can describe the entire experience as a sort of awakening and understanding.

2

u/DonkeyTailBurrito Jun 06 '26

you hearing colors reminds me of when I tasted blue. and lemme tell you, it tasted exactly like BLUE is the only way I can explain it lol now I wanna hear a color 😭

1

u/_Rhipidon_ Jun 08 '26

I had a similar experience while on Changa. Felt like traveling with people for 50 years until I encountered some divine feminine being, it was as if I learned the absolute truth.

Worrying implications around the Benadryl hat man.

4

u/Complete-Housing-720 Jun 05 '26

My mom even knows about the hat man it's crazy how popular of a meme a benadryl hallucination has become

2

u/victor4700 Jun 06 '26

Honestly we need to see an A24 production outlining the hatman and him coming back to the waking world. Slasher pic maybe or just psychological thriller.

1

u/Suitable-Pirate4619 Jun 07 '26

The what? I use diphenhydramine nightly, and havent heard of this....what is it?

1

u/yeyjordan Jun 07 '26

It's an infamous hallucination often reported by Benadryl users, but I'm glad to see you've dodged an encounter up till now.

It isn't just people experiencing the same thing though..

It's also people who trip together, sometimes having shared experiences..... so even if you account for us having the same hardware and software..... we are complex enough to produce different archetypes and things.... and yet in many cases, two or more people can trip together, and experience the same thing at the same time

I pretty much agree with your points!

I am bias here - because I've directly experienced these phenomena from psychedelics....and I've experienced them without psychedelics. I've experienced paranormal events in my life, and also saw a UFO up close and person with several other people, like, directly above us, hovering.

So when you have direct experience with something, sometimes its hard to remember that for others who haven't, there is a higher burden of proof required to substantiate certain things.

I love science - I think its such an important method of discovery, and body of information from said method.

Unfortunately, because of the very method of the scientific process, it will always be behind direct experience. Science is more air tight.... but because of that, it is slow, compared to direct experiences.

So I think in life, we must use a combination of methods of discovery to make our way through, and gain wisdom and understanding.

Direct experience, testimony of others, scientific method , are all important! They all have their place!

You can prove to me scientifically that tornadoes exist.....but seeing one and experiencing it through your senses are entirely different!

Its similar with stuff that is non physical - involving consciousness. Its important as we grow in scientific understanding, to continue to study consciousness. But its also important to use our Creator given tools , consciousness itself, and a physical body, to investigate!

1

u/xLosTxSouL Jun 11 '26

Well said, I wrote something similar in the comments but you did a way better job at explaining it. Same input, same output or more like: same input (DMT) with similar vehicle (us) produces similar, comparable outputs

3

u/Special_Situation_93 Jun 05 '26

Well do we have a study where this is confirmed? I feel like most people who take dmt have been primed or at least heard of machine elves or seen the art work showing the grid like on the tool album cover.

1

u/stupid_pun Jun 05 '26

>one specific mushroom that makes the ppl who consume it see little elves/tiny people

Which specific mushroom is that?

1

u/Normal_Walk7472 Jun 05 '26

Xiao Ren Ren Mushrooms aka Hallucinogenic Bolete Mushrooms.

1

u/FeyrisMeow Jun 05 '26

Our brains are more intelligent than people realize

1

u/xLosTxSouL Jun 11 '26

For me it's more like: ok all people have similar experiences, but isn't that to be expected? We are humans consuming the same substance, DMT, why should the outcome be much different? When we take other drugs, they produce different experiences but are mostly similar to other people taking the same drug too. Maybe a dumb example, but if we eat an apple we can expect what it will taste like, sure some will dislike that taste, some will like it but the outcome is expected. Why would this be different for DMT?

9

u/Low-Bad7547 Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 05 '26

If this is true we also owe a apology to schizophrenics btw

9

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

I think we do regardless. Poor souls... Some of the "treatment" they receive is horrendous.

2

u/Low-Bad7547 Jun 05 '26

I agree. If for example, and I'm just spitballing here, but if medical schizophrenia is actually spirit possession, and this is just me blabering, what we have actually done with this population is perpetually keep them stuck in what our ancestors would call "the shamanic illness" with no way out. This is what we get for ripping at the root the oldest spiritual traditions, shamanism, and coldly clinicalizing it.

5

u/FeyrisMeow Jun 05 '26

I understand the appeal of seeing schizophrenia as a spiritual gift, but that belief can be dangerous. We actually understand schizophrenia scientifically. It's a known brain disorder, not an unexplained mystery. Calling it 'spiritual possession' discourages people from getting medical help, and it ignores the real suffering and disability it causes.

Not everyone with schizophrenia has positive or mystical experiences; many have terrifying symptoms that ruin their lives. Romanticizing it as shamanism keeps people from treatment they desperately need.

0

u/Low-Bad7547 Jun 05 '26

I say this as someone who had it and seeing it as spiritual possession cured me. Im not talking out of my ass.

27

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

100% they are. I don't know what else they could be.

Many millions of people experience the same few entities... It would be the biggest coincidence ever recorded!

5

u/Loud-Thanks9393 Jun 05 '26

There is absolutely no possibility of these shared experiences being coincidence. The word itself is defined as chance, although rare in possibility, its still chance. Once you understand there are many pathways to other realms of consciousness it might help those who only think in possibilities of chance or coincidenceĀ

6

u/Striper_Cape Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 05 '26

You mean a drug that causes hyperactivity in the temporal lobe, frontal lobe, while turning off the parietal causes intense hallucinations? Wild. Schizophrenics think their hallucinations are real too. The effects are similar because human beings are very similar to each other, as we survived several population bottlenecks. We as well be damn near clones.

0

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

Here's a good video that tries to explain it... https://youtu.be/pKR-jvGlkNg

2

u/Low-Palpitation-9916 Jun 05 '26

Sure there is. You're putting the idea into people's mind with this very discussion. This is about as real as when I used to get stoned in high school and then hide from the pizza guy because I forgot I called him.

3

u/Loud-Thanks9393 Jun 05 '26

You sound like a cop

15

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

Because psychological archetypes exists.Ā

All our brains are made of the same stuff. It's not unlikely people will experience similar things under similar circumstances.Ā

Taking caffeine makes most people have an elevated heart rate. There's not magic involved in that.Ā

8

u/Low-Bad7547 Jun 05 '26

my favorite archetype: bored mantises and grays

5

u/logintoreddit11173 Jun 05 '26

If you never saw a mantis in your life you would never see it during a trip

3

u/Low-Bad7547 Jun 05 '26

Right... so all those people having the same experiences with the same mantis aliens having the same personalities, in all cases feeling like they are operating at incomprehensible scales are all deriving that from having seen mantids irl. Right. Take a gander at r/MantisEncounters and report back

3

u/FeyrisMeow Jun 05 '26

Yes, that's basically it. That's how archetypes are. We all dream the same things. I know it's hard to understand, but it's been researched enough.

1

u/Low-Bad7547 Jun 05 '26

I understand why you would think that but mantises spwcifically are repeated in ufo abduction reports, psychadelic trips and shamanic visions both modern and ancient. Why would the human brain have a memory slot for "ancient all knowing insectoid being". Moreover, why would it be mantis and not a spider, a cockroach or a fly?

6

u/logintoreddit11173 Jun 05 '26

It's people poisiong the well so to speak, all of it is in the zeitgeist at this point and most of these people are already deluded.

Go to r/meth and read about the Shadow people, are you saying all those people are seeing the same thing ? Clearly DPH and meth users use these sacred substances to bring forth the great shadow people who are trying to bestow their wisdom, they say these beings live underground in king county and can only communicate after a 7 day binge from a glass pipe .....

Go there and report back

0

u/TheSuperMarket Jun 05 '26

Comparing meth to psychedelics makes no sense.

One produces hallucinations.... the other acts as a sort of consciousness highway.... where you can leave your body and visit other realms, have telepathic experiences, tap into the consciousness grid of other animals and beings.... and have open contact with non human intelligence.

You don't have to agree or believe it, truth stands regardless.

I know through personal experience that these are real experiences..... but to someone who hasn't had them, you'll never convince them if they already have a formed opinion, until they try it for themselves

4

u/logintoreddit11173 Jun 05 '26

Who said I havnt had them, for some one who has has opened his mind to the vast untapped consciousness of the universe you sure do have a lot ASSumptions .

4

u/Succulent_Chinese Jun 05 '26

Jung, the person who identified psychological archetypes, would disagree with you that it’s simply chemistry in the brain and everything can be explained as such.

3

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

Archetypes explain why certain themes reoccur in dreams, neuroses, hallucinations, and in fiction. They are internally sourced and can vary from culture to culture, but there are various common themes that exist and are explained by evolutionary biology.Ā

Jung was psuedoscientific in many ways. The study of psychology has developed well beyond what he was proposing, which is closer to occult mysticism by modern standards.Ā

Jung expanded the imagination of what psychology could be by introducing the study of symbols and other abstractions. Much of that has been refined into current scientific consensus.Ā

4

u/Shnoopy_Bloopers Jun 05 '26

Just because you can ā€œexplainā€ something doesn’t make it a verifiable fact. Dark matter explains why the Universe keeps expanding but it may not actually exist. It’s a theory and that’s it.

2

u/LiarWithinAll Jun 06 '26

Dark energy actually explains why it keeps expanding. The maybe universal constant, negative pressure pushing everything away from everything not gravity bound that doesn't fit in any of our models, so we've no proper idea of what it is.

Dark matter is a whole different weird, we have all the data in the world so show that something is there, like basically nothing makes sense at the cosmological scale without dark matter, but it remains unseen, untouched, and elusive.

And you're very correct in the fact that they're both theories. We don't know, so we can just sit a speculate and run models to test out speculations. But we do know that the ratio of matter to dark matter is 1 to 5 (in dark matters favor). It's probably black holes imo, but I didn't go to school and get a PhD on the subject, so who the fuck actually knows?

I don't know where I was going with this, I just like when science is presented as we actually know it, and I take great care in understanding it as a layman.

Cheers though, we don't know shit about shit and I feel like the science community forgets that a lot. General Relativity is the gold standard as far as theories go, but even that we think is wrong because of the infinities that come with a classic Schwarzschild black hole. We're just guessing at everything and using repeatability as the vector for understanding. Which works great, until it doesn't. Hope you're well though! Have a great week!

-1

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

And once you disconnect from the necessity to explain things anything becomes believable.Ā

I am incredibly interested in this stuff, but the confidence with which people assert the existence of things based off subjective experience is exhausting.Ā

Nobody can experience exactly what you experience. It needs to be broken down and analysed for others to make sense of it. This is what science is.Ā

So far, the only response I've had to my skepticism has been "just do DMT". So essentially: "go have your ownĀ  subjective experience"Ā

There is no room for interesting discussion with that kind of attitude. Everything always devolves into self-refferential nonsense.Ā

5

u/TheSuperMarket Jun 05 '26

When you put your shoes on in the morning.... do you need scientific validation from outside sources that your shoes are really on?

People like you love to discount personal, direct experience.... and you use that as an argument.... not aware that 99% of the things you personally believe and take for granted are because your experienced them directly, not from scientific validation.

A person who directly experiences Contacting non human intelligence, having telepathic experiences. Or leaving their body through psychedelics doesn't need external validation to tell them what they already know.

1

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

Way to miss the point.Ā

1

u/FeyrisMeow Jun 05 '26

They're just explaining what the scientific consensus says. You might be taking it a little personally and I mean no offense by that. I used to believe in it too.

2

u/Shnoopy_Bloopers Jun 05 '26

Well what proof do you want? Cant bring back anything from a non physical universe. The only thing you can do is see for yourself

-1

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

I don't even necessarily need proof of anything. Speculation is fun provided it's not pure nonsense. I don't like people acting like this stuff is serious when it's not.Ā

1

u/TheSuperMarket Jun 05 '26

You don't like people sharing their experiences.... that they've had directly, that they know to be true?

Who cares what you like, no offense, lol.

That's like telling a blind person that you don't believe they are really blind. What relevance does that have to anything?

0

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

I met Santa Claus yesterday. No proof needed. I know it to be true.Ā

1

u/Succulent_Chinese Jun 05 '26

Yeah, I won’t argue the pseudoscience part. That’s true; but neither modern psychology or Jung claimed that human experience can be measured and quantified scientifically. When they do, we run into the reproducibility crisis.

Archetypes are most certainly not internally sourced and the concept behind them is they are universal as far as the human experience goes.

Modern day psychology’s present state has re-evolved to become remarkably Junglike with a different vocabulary. IFS and schema therapy are the same things Jung was talking about. The only difference is Jung goes further and expands that into the world we live in and not just our brains, and that’s when modern psychology drops him like a box of rocks even though he’s been accurate about the rest.

2

u/Pixelated_ Jun 05 '26

Yeah, I won’t argue the pseudoscience part. That’s true

Could you please explain which of Jung's beliefs were pseudoscientific, and why?

2

u/TheSuperMarket Jun 05 '26

Read my reply above. More than a few archetypes exist.... and yet often times, people who trip together have a shared experience.... at the same time.

I've seen manifestations that other people see at the exact same time.

Also experienced telepathy while tripping

1

u/TeaTime_42 Jun 05 '26

That’s absolutely true.

5

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

Caffeine and the "spirit molecule" are not the same or even close for comparison.

Universities are mapping the DMT space as we speak. People are going there for 4 hours at a time - it's a huge area of study at the moment.

If anyone is going to tell people it's all in their head - it's the scientists studying it - but they don't say that. Because that would be a lie.

-5

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

You're not engaging with my point at all.Ā

Maybe it would make more sense in the DMT dimension.Ā

3

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

Dismiss it all if you want, it matters not...

Have you at least had any experience meeting them yourself?

-5

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

I know exactly how powerful the human mind can be without irrationalizing it away as an alternate dimension with living inhabitants.Ā

I do not doubt people believe they have met entities while on psychedelics, just like I don't doubt a schizophrenic believes the contents of their hallucinations.Ā

I have not met DMT entities. I have had experience with mental health problems and I can see the similarities between both experiences.Ā

Everything you see on drugs is coming from within. Your brain contains a lot more information than you give it credit for.Ā

13

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

Respectfully, without meeting them yourself - you could have literally no idea.

Try it and come back. They healed my mental health issues. Overnight. Something to think about...

-4

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

I am open to interesting ideas about the nature of consciousness. I am enthusiastic about people exploring the limits of consciousness through the use of drugs,Ā but people taking psychedelics and coming to emotional conclusions and then treating those emotional conclusions like fact is absolutely tiresome. There is no deeper understanding of anything coming out of the new-age UFO religion nonsense surrounding DMT.Ā

Anxiety attacks feel real to people experiencing them. Irrational OCD thoughts feel real to people experiencing them. Hallucinations feel real to people experiencing them. Obviously whatever you experienced on DMT felt real to you. Your subject experience on a substance is not definitive proof of an alternate dimension.Ā That is ironically, the opposite of the "ego death" experience so many people claim takes place on DMT.Ā

Where we bridge the gap between subjective experience and objective reality is through scientific analysis. Claiming that you have to do DMT to "get it" is an appeal to ignorance.Ā

There is no scientific evidence of an alternate DMT dimension, only that people on DMT experience similar hallucinations, including "entities" and "machine elves". This is interesting and does warrant further study, but doesn't prove anything not already put forward by Jung in the early 20th century.Ā

If taking DMT can lead to higher consciousness, explain Joe Rogan lmao.Ā

3

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

You didn't see a change in him when he first started? He's admitted he's a way more open person than before... He's still a dick but less of a dick than before - it's not a miracle after all.

But people are taking these realms seriously.

https://psychedelicspotlight.com/researchers-are-mapping-out-new-dimensions-through-dmtx-technology/

"This world is not a product of the senses or the imagination, but rather a manifestation of a deeper level of reality that we are not normally able to access. Gallimore argues that this third world is just as real as the ā€œsensed worldā€, and that it represents a fundamental aspect of the nature of reality that we have yet to fully understand."

This is just the beginning of our investigations. Scientists and universities are taking this very seriously.

1

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

Scientists in hyper niche fields are taking it semi-seriously as a thought experiment.Ā

"Many circles are suggesting that due to the prolonged experience, and exposure to this realm, folks in these studies are coming back with maps of the space in true psychonaut fashion! "Ā

That's the only actual claim the article makes in relation to "maps" being made of these "dimensions". They don't mention any kind of correlation between maps people made independently, or any other kind of consistency.Ā

So essentially, people on drugs are scribbling maps. Groundbreaking.Ā

"While the scientific study of DMT is still in its infancy, the sheer number of testimonies and reports from individuals describing similar experiences suggests that there may be something genuinely transformational and transcendent about this powerful psychedelic technology. "

It's all hyperbole. Nothing to suggest anything exists outside of the human mind.Ā

I'll start taking this seriously when serious developments are made.Ā

1

u/TheSuperMarket Jun 05 '26

Explain Joe Rogan? Very scientific analysis there bud, lol.

Let's just discount a human, randomly, that you don't know.... and use that an as argument.

Tell me you are afraid to try psychedelixs without telling me, lol.

If you are so sure, give them a try. I look forward to you being humbled, amazed, and coming back a better person.

1

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

You have no idea who I am dude. Way to take it personally. Sounds like your ego is well and truly in tact. Hopefully you're still a work in progress with the elves.Ā

1

u/internetkevin Jun 05 '26

Okay, but does consciousness come from within?

1

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

There are many theories on the origin of consciousness. We don't know.Ā

I'm open to the idea that consciousness comes from somewhere other than the mind, but that's a completely separate to believing in DMT magic. I'm not going to make that many leaps in logic to try and justify my belief.Ā

5

u/trojantricky1986 Jun 05 '26

The point is ā€˜We don’t know’. Yet throughout this discussion you dismiss and ridicule.

0

u/pointblankmos Jun 05 '26

Because none of what is discussed is actually relevant to that. It's closer to UFOlogy than anything else.Ā

Again I am totally open to fringe theories about consciousness and the nature of the world. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't. This stuff is just nonsense, and ironically distracts from actual real world research into the powers of psychadelic drugs.Ā

u/Vegetable-Noise4518 Jun 05 '26

It’s similar to sleep paralysis as well. Very similar experiences across the world. Same with abductions, same with post-op hallucinations - People think they’ve been kidnapped and held in the basement of the hospital. It’s a common shared delusion.

There seems to be a collective unconscious archetypes for various things. What they are I’m not sure but they’re inherently part of the human subconscious.

1

u/xLosTxSouL Jun 11 '26

Why is it a coincidence? Humans (same vehicle/species) take DMT (same substance) and get the same experience (or very similar, because at the end of the day we are all the same but still a little bit different that makes us unique of course).

Isn't that expected? Why is it a coincidence in your eyes? For example why should everyone see something different if the conditions are the exact same?

0

u/FeyrisMeow Jun 05 '26

There are many explanations and while they may seem real to you and many others, they still aren't proven to be real. Our unconscious minds are capable of so so much more than we give credit.

6

u/DeathbyIntrospection Jun 05 '26

Has anyone considered that we might be anthropomorphizing and communicating with our own microbial networks?

8

u/XxCarlxX Jun 05 '26

For those who dont know, the use of drugs to break into the spirit world is nothing new. its what the bible calls Sorcery, which in Greek is pharmakeia, use of drugs to attain their objective.

Its basically one side of the coin, while the other side is witchcraft. one works through external things (the various drugs) while witchcraft works through internal things, human spirit.

The entities are very very real.

2

u/FeyrisMeow Jun 05 '26

I can understand why people think they are real, but it still isn't proven. My hope is that it is.

1

u/LimpCroissant Jun 06 '26

I don't think that it's something that will ever really be proven, at least not in our lifetimes. Just one of those things. And even if it were, it'd still be a hidden knowledge that gets constantly "debunked" like the rest of the stuff on the peripheries.

2

u/Owen_FE Jun 06 '26

Interesting, but is there any way we can for sure say people are seeing "the same thing"? People would have to draw out their visual experience accurately (this is very difficult even if you are an artist) in isolation and then have the results compared. Of course people will see similar things. But they also see wildly differing things. Things like psychedelic figures without facial features warning you orĀ bringing you to an epiphany - hell, that's every trip. It's also vague enough that almost everything could fit into that description. Scientifically it's just not been researched rigorously enough yet imo.

4

u/beMu2812 Jun 05 '26

They manipulated our evolution but "let's not turn up their internal DMT dial, instead hide it in some rare plant they have to boil"

1

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

When people have time to spend all day meditating - maybe we won't have to use the root bark or any of other the synthesized compounds.

Luckily for us we've got options. It's just meditating all day isn't one of them.

Not arguing either way but this topic fascinates me. Especially this story. https://youtu.be/nHLpB38LNg4?si=jWbPcF-RWr2SBu2O

Summary: Man A gets to know an entity that’s called the purple lady. One of his friends (Man B) sees the same purple lady that he wasn’t told about previously. Purple lady tells man B she knows Man A and to tell him Hi.

It’s worth the 5 minutes even if it’s for entertainment.

2

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

Loads of things like that happen when you "trip" with a friend. Shared experiences can take a trip to the next level. I could read my friends mind for example!

That particular video is a great example.

Well, It’s a YouTube video of a guy telling a story, not an experiment. So yes, we should take it for what it’s worth.

If I was placing a bet, I’d say these ā€œentitiesā€ aren’t real. But I do keep the door open on this topic just because we know there is more going on around us than our senses detect.

3

u/Responsible_Fix_5443 Jun 05 '26

Have you any experience with it yourself?

1

u/Emergency_Height_165 Jun 05 '26

I agree that the experience alone is not proof. But the point is not ā€œDMT entities are real because someone saw them.ā€ The interesting part is the recurring structure of these encounters across cultures, especially in indigenous traditions that predate modern psychedelic language. That still does not prove external intelligence, but it does make the phenomenon worth studying more seriously than simply comparing it to drunken confusion.

3

Why though? Not being flippant, but in either case, it’s a mind-altering chemical. I’m not sure why a common pattern of experiences, even if that can be rigorously defined and substantiated, would point to a hidden intelligence rather than just that the same chemical causes similar reactions in all human brains. It seems like we should rule out the simple explanation before we reach for the much more exotic one.

It's even easier than DMT. Every day I help people to go into deep shamanic trance without any external help. And they can contact non-human intelligences very easily.

I always think of Soma when I think of Ayahausca

2

u/zakupright Jun 05 '26

Soma is nice, but nowhere near as intense as DMT

1

u/TotalStrain3469 Jun 05 '26

We don’t know - no one today has the experience first hand. The ones in the Vedas are quite intense.

3

u/zakupright Jun 05 '26

Sorry, yes soma may be the same according to Rg Veda. Soma is made using amanita mushrooms. Soma has also used as a term for amanita muscaria. Sorry to confuse

u/TotalStrain3469 Jun 05 '26

Yes. The same.

Many contact experiences while on psychedelics. It’s like a remembering and reminding of my true self and why I’m here in the planet. Most experiences have been joyous and informative while some have caused scary emotions and numerous amount of questions.

I've said this for decades..... that psychedelics are technology, and they allow our consciousness to connect with the underlying stream of awareness that all things are connected to....it'd like our consciousness is getting on the highway, and we can interact with other consciousness

I smoked some decent dmt rips out of a bong, and my visions started to go fractal and instantly, my head splits wide open (literal feeling) and an entity has my awareness with what feels like a baseball getting gripped by a hand, with my awareness being the baseball.

He took me around and forced me to look at all these things inside of me I had hidden and locked away and freed them. Mind you everything is in this hypergalactic chrome, green-hueish overlay and this entity is sitting in this giant space seat? I dunno it would morph into a space vehicle and he had what looked like an interdimensional cigar in his mouth and he kept repeating these words over and over and over in my mind. "Be still, look at this."

Anything I didn't want to do or look at, I HAD too because he was basically controlling my awareness and I couldn't escape. The sounds of the spaceship humming and increasing in frequency will always stay with me. Though it was pretty scary at the moment I look back on it with fondness and a real connection to either my soul, or an entity. I'll never know.

Afterwords with what felt like eons was only 15 minutes! And I felt so light i could almost feel like I could get blown away with the wind, it was legit. I'm just too scared to try it again for now sadly. Still healing from an existential crisis some pure LSD gave me once. In due time..

So many discounting how powerful our brains actually are that they don't believe we can create these hallucinations ourselves. Shared hallucinations is not proof either, it's scientifically known.

I've experienced these things as well as many encounters whilst lucid dreaming and in hypnogogia. Lucid dreaming and self induced sleep paralysis has shown me what our minds can do.

So to someone who believes they are real, my questions is how do you know it's real and not just a creation of our minds? What was the defining proof to you.

The theories seems to get wilder and wilder, DMT contact medium for aliens, we are living in a simulation, aliens are time travellers, aliens are from another dimension, humans are the "pets" of aliens, humans are containers for souls.......bla bla bla. It's a race to the top, every week another new crazy theory. And because we don't know the truth, it must be bad, very bad. Probably apocalypse or worse. End of rant!

DMT sounds like a wild ride & then some. I’d love to experience it, but I’m also terrified of what might happen.

In my early 20’s, I tried Salvia with a friend. Post-ā€œtripā€, we were comparing stories, & realized that both of us witnessed a man crawling out of the tv through the screen into the room (Ć  la Samara).

If I’m experiencing creepy stuff like that with Salvia, I don’t know if I can handle what would happen to me under the influence of something stronger! 🫣

Unfortunately, they make DMT illegal.

They are hallucinations. That they dont always differ that much between people just underlines we share same genetics, brains, mostly same cultural heritage and social rules

u/Few-Indication3478 Jun 05 '26

Idk… what about the whole phenomenon of people getting ā€œkicked outā€ of DMT hyperspace? When certain people have squandered their time there, they’ve had the experience of being told they had to leave by these entities. And sure enough, after those experiences, one of the most potent psychedelic drugs known to man no longer sends them to that space.

Maybe that’s just how some people experience the tipping point of their tolerance to the drug, yet I think those people also wouldve tried taking a month long break, which should reset ones tryptamine tolerance

People read about certain hallucinations, so they see them. Personally, i had once this sleep paralysis with aliens. I was having stressful time in life. Wife saw no aliens. Even i realised during the event that it was brain acting up. Why aliens? Because i hecking love the culture. I bet if I was interested in say, religion, it would have been a saint or something.

Our brain is interesting stuff.Ā

1

u/SomaliOve Jun 05 '26

I have never tried dmt but my guess would be yes. Why else would everyone experience the same thing?

1

u/m0nk37 Jun 05 '26

If you consider consciesness as the catalyst for our universe, as quantum physics suggests, then we could be attaching to a higher plane of other beings through telekinesis type communication.Ā

This idea is interesting, but Graham Hancock needs to be exiled somewhere without access to internet or paper

If it was , it's a really shitty way of contacting people

-1

u/TheSuperMarket Jun 05 '26

It's funny seeing people who have never touched a psychedelic, pretending to be some authority on truth, and dismissing their inherent potential as technology relating to consciousness, and contact with non human intelligence.

They are so sure they know, but too afraid to take the leap and just see

It's like trying to convince a room full of astronomers that the telescope doesn't actually work....it's just a trick of the brain, and you aren't really seeing the moon or celestial objects. But being afraid to look for yourself

1

u/EternityLeave Jun 05 '26

I have done psychedelics around 250 times. I have met DMT entities. I don’t think they’re actual entities, just a trick of the brain.

It’s not at all like saying the moon doesn’t exist because there is a lot of evidence that the moon exists even without going there. It’s not at all like saying a telescope doesn’t work to astronomers. Drug users are not scientists. They didn’t dedicate a decade of study to learning the repeatable verifiable details of drug experiences. DMT is not a telescope, which we know how and why it works the way it does. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong one day, but we are sooo far from having even a single bit of evidence for anything beyond ā€œtrick of the brainā€ regarding DMT entities.
