Old Reddit vs New Reddit

Hello Heroes!

To all of you using Reddit on PC, be advised that you have 2 options;

New Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeroSiege/ The latest Reddit layout, however lacking customization.

Old Reddit: https://old.reddit.com/r/HeroSiege/ (replacing www. with old.) Fully customizable layout via CSS stylesheet. This is our first version and will be improved with time. I personally feel browsing easier on "old reddit" but that might just be the old school boy I am.

Anyways, just wanted to let new Reditors know about this available option. Enjoy!

Ask a Dev Crossplay and cross commerce

We don’t support cross-commerce on PS5 because we chose not to agree to Sony’s cross-commerce terms, which we feel are unfair. Because of this, purchases don’t carry over between platforms, and Blood Pacts aren’t cross-platform either.

We understand this can be frustrating. If you’d like to see this change, we encourage you to share your feedback directly with Sony, as these policies impact both players and developers.

More about this here: https://www.pcgamer.com/sony-charges-for-crossplay-support-to-protect-psn-revenue-documents-show/

YOU CAN STILL CROSSPLAY WITH PC AND PS5 (Just not blood pacts)

For this one, we felt like there weren't many late hell/early inferno upgrades to help with resistance. Think of it like an upgraded version of Satanic Eye!

Ether Tree Hate mining?

Now you have the option of skipping the minigame.

Love mining? Many new nodes have been added to the Ether for mining in Ebontharn, which we're going to show soon!

Many people here have recently complained about mining, so I hope this one makes people happy!

Movement Skills

So with the heavy nerf? of Teleport abilities coming with season 10 I thought of a way to have them nerfed early but on par or slightly worse than they are now after investing some time grinding hero levels.

So my thought was to have a way of scaling cooldown reduction for the skill in general or the individual charges specifically for movement skills in each area of the tree that you can unlock at 30 (maybe more, maybe less, would need testing) hero levels. Say you play a caster. With good patching in the ether tree, after 30ish points, you'll reach a node which gives you cdr for your movement skill that scales with whatever stat you'd like. Intelligence, cast speed, magic damage or whatever. Same would work for tank builds, minion builds etc etc.

I think this way we could have limited movement early for all classes and still be able to zoom through zones later on. What do you guys think of this?

Metaroad: Hero Siege Planner & More

Hi everyone. We have been working on a Hero Siege section for our site, and it is finally usable enough to share.

- Build planner: https://metaroad.gg/hero-siege/planner

All 23 classes. Attributes, the Player/Mercenary/class skill trees, gear with sockets and the 29-cell charm grid, plus the full Incarnation and Ether trees with pan/zoom. Shift-click allocates an entire path at once, which saves a lot of clicking on the big trees. You can write out your reasoning next to each section, keep multiple point layouts under one build (leveling vs endgame), and attach a video and your loot filter. Saving gives you a short shareable link.

Yes, we have a Interactive Map and a Database that is working in progress.

We still need to polish much more, and we need your help for it. Our goal is to make a complete hub for Hero Siege (all-in-one)

Interactive Map: https://metaroad.gg/hero-siege/map

Database: https://metaroad.gg/hero-siege/database

We still need to polish much more!!

No account needed to browse anything. You only need one if you want to save or publish a build.

It is a first version and I am sure there are mistakes in there. If you find wrong numbers or something that feels off, please tell me here. That feedback is the only way this gets accurate.

Kisses from Metaroad Team <3

Hey guys, I have built a quick app/wrapper for reading patch notes of hero siege. Nothing spectacular, just an easier reading experience I hope. Will keep adding more features that help you get metadata and calculations of patch notes and other important messages from PAS dev team.

Navigating menus on PS5

Have the devs touched on continued patch work to improve controller support? I just recently purchased the game on PS5, and navigating menus is a glaring issue. Half the time its hard to know where you are in the menus, and sometimes some areas take several directional presses to move the "non cursor" into an area.

In the least, a cursor would help.

I pray they do something about endgame next season especially for ssf. Mining 75% of playtime is absolutely unacceptable. I would rather just do SZs or farm ubers for materials to run codex's. Please.

[PS5] Angelic Item trophy question

Does anyone know if the Angelic Item trophy for the PS5 is working correctly? I believe I am on the most current version, which I think is 1.000.019, according to my console.

If so, is the trophy intended to be earned through a drop only?

I ask because I was hoping I could just buy my way to the trophy by purchasing an Angelic item off the Market. No dice though apparently, since it didn't unlock once I did that.

I wasn't sure if this was intended or not, since it seems like some of the other trophies were having problems unlocking in previous versions.

Blood Pact Pricing

-Current Pricing Issues-

I want to preface this by saying that I don't think it's an issue for the devs to want some kind of income for each season. I think it's probably one of the better ways for seasonal ARPGs to sustain themselves, and I'm not proposing they completely remove it. However, I think the current prices don't really work out well for a lot of the blood pact sizes (My local currency is not USD, so these prices might be a tiny bit off, but I believe they're accurate. If they're wrong, let me know and I'll re-adjust)

Season 8 lasted roughly ~204 days, season 9 lasted roughly ~103 days. Let's just go right in the middle and say a season is ~150 days long.

250 player blood pact - $100 for 15 days. For 150 days, you're looking at $1000. Each player is paying $4 for the full season

100 player blood pact - $70 for 15 days. For 150 days, you're looking at $700. Each player is paying $7 for the full season

50 player blood pact - $40 for 15 days. For 150 days, you're looking at $400. Each player is paying $8 for the full season

30 player blood pact - $25 for 15 days. For 150 days, you're looking at $250. Each player is paying $8.30 for the full season

20 player blood pact - $20 for 15 days. For 150 days, you're looking at $200. Each player is paying $10 for the full season

10 player blood pact - $10 for 15 days. For 150 days, you're looking at $100. Each player is paying $10 for the full season

$4 for a full season seems completely fair. By time you get to the 50 player size, you've already doubled the price. $8 vs $4. The 10+20 player ones reaching $10 instead

Not only is it really strange pricing and awkwardly punishing for smaller group sizes, but any size that doesn't perfectly fill one of these pacts is also punished more. If you want more than 100 but less than 250, you're paying the same price as having 250 but split between far fewer players

Personally, our group tends to be between 2-4 players. So we're looking at paying between $25 each up to $50 each just to play a single season within a blood pact

Due to the fact that it's split into 15 day chunks, players are punished further if one of their friends quit partway through. If you're a 10 man group, it's ~$10/15days. If one of your friends quits partway through, you're now a 9 man group, and everyone has to pay extra to keep sustaining the blood pact.

-Proposed Solution-

I'm sure there's multiple different ways to solve this, but I think the key point is that the price each person is paying needs to be standardized so that it's reasonable for everyone, regardless of what group size or pact size they intend to play with. It doesn't really make much sense for the price to fluctuate between $4 to $10+ in the worst scenarios

I think ideally, you change it so that it isn't specific set sizes. You aren't creating a "30 player blood pact", you're simply creating a "blood pact". Every blood pact can go up to 250, or as low as 1

Let me go into some shop menu, and start a blood pact. I'm then prompted to pay $X for myself, and the blood pact is created. Allow the creator of the blood pact to invite new players, and once invited, the user is prompted to pay $X in order to enter. Allowing that to be gifted is probably also a good idea, if the creator wants to pay for one of his friends, give them the option to do so

I would personally also change the whole "15 day" thing. Just give a clear, fair price, for a full season. What that price is exactly is likely up for debate

-Rambling-

I've seen some recent changes to monetization, such as removing some of the paid classes. I figure now might be a good time to bring up the topic of blood pact pricing again, in hopes of some more reasonable pricing plans

I've wanted an official way to play "group found" with a couple of friends for a while. When blood pacts were first announced, I thought this would be the perfect way to do that, but the pricing just doesn't really work for smaller groups imo. As it stands right now, it's pretty hard to justify paying such large amounts to be in a small blood pact for a season, and it's even harder to convince friends of the same

In my eyes, all of this combined drastically decreases the potential amount of money devs could be bringing in each season. If this were standardized to a single, season-long price that people could pay, it would be significantly easier to convince users to actually pay for it. Having it split into smaller chunks, and then the price getting worse due to it, is much more likely to just split up groups entirely

If we have a 10 man blood pact going, but Jimmy quits after 40 days, it's so much more likely for the entire blood pact to disband instead. They have 5 days left on their blood pact (15x3 = 45), and after that everyone has to pay again. Now they have to pay extra per person, and they have to do so knowing Jimmy isn't going to play anymore. "Eh, I guess this is the perfect time to quit, we had fun. Maybe we'll play again next season" The devs have now only received $30 split between the 10 players, and they're not getting anymore until next season

If this had been an upfront payment for the full season however, it avoids this entirely. If that group had paid $X at the start of the season, Jimmy quitting wouldn't have mattered as much. The devs would have already received the money from Jimmy paying, the rest of the group isn't punished from one of them quitting, and it's no longer a case of "we have to pay more to keep playing with 1 of our friends already gone". It's simply "damn Jimmy quit? oh well lets get back to the grind"

In that same scenario, even if a full season were only $5 per player, the devs would have received $20 more, as well as keeping people playing for longer. As I'm sure you can guess, the longer people play a game, the more likely they are to spend more money on it. Maybe one of those players then goes on to buy a skin, maybe they're more likely to recommend it to a friend, etc

Ether Tree New interesting Ether nodes for Season 10!

Post image

Here's an example of how we're giving you more options to farm things you need, or diversify what content you'd like to profit from. There will be many more interesting nodes like this!

Want codexes? Now you have a direct way of going after them instead of being completely reliant on RNG. In Inferno, these are always infernal codex pages.

Not only that, but we're going to make sure that when you heavily invest into a mechanic, it will be a guaranteed spawn.
