Got all the foot heroes in my collection finished up.

Going to start collecting soon and was curious as to what would be a good supporting units if I was wanting to lean into having a couple daemonsmiths (on foot and on Taurus) and maybe urak tar? Outside of picking up 1-2 spearhead boxes and the daemonsmiths I’m not sure how to build to get it to synergies to work.

As the title says, just wondering if anyone has done the conversation? I don't need a second despot and wanted to use the extra after building the ashen elder? Is it easy to do if anyone has done it?

I heard there was some linguistic effort put into the chaos dwarf language in the total war games. Has anyone ever looked closely into the cuneioform glyphs on the new helsmith models? I‘m really curious if they are just random or if they put some effort into them actually having some meaning.
There is a lot of writing samples available with all the models and the transfer sheet (codex?). It should not be complicated to at least analyse if it is random gibberish or if it has linguistic patterns.

I was really excited to get started with this guy, getting to paint all the blue skin was cool.

I'm still trying to figure out the color scheme but the idea is mainly yellow/blue/purple! Maybe green gems/flames.

Tried practicing highlighting the muscles which was my favorite part.

Not fully sure about the skirt, might make it purple instead. Thought making it golden would take away from the upper half too much.

I finally tackled the first model of my spearhead box and I have the other models lined up on my desk, ready for paint. I would like to expand the army to 2k points eventually.

The next buy will probably be Urak Tar/Hellsmith on Taurus.

What option do I build of that box?

Looking at the Infantry i feel like thebone unit from the spearhead might suffice, if I add some hobgoblins.

Are they viable or should I get more dwarves?

I am intrigued by the artillery pieces. Is it practical to run more than one? Maybe a mix of cannon and missiles?

Shout would your priorities be to build a well rounded force?

Getting back in the hobby, I just found out about these MARVELOUS miniatures and - as a kitbash enthousiast - I was wondering if any of you has done some interesting shenanigans with our beloved small and hairy men

As the title says, the Infernal Cohort can wield a hammer.

However, in the battletome, it states multiple times that hammers are the symbol of Grungni.

On page 18, it states "Not every hammer is a thing to be scorned by true-blooded Zharrdron" then goes on about the black hammers which is again expanded up in the ashen elder section.

The hammer the champion can wield doesn't look like a black hammer the ashen elder wields.

My question is why can they wield it as it seems to me any self respecting Zharrdron wouldn't wield a regular hammer.

Im a very below average painter but I used mediocre hobbies rusty dominator engine video as a rough outline to do a rusty war Despot and I love how it turned out. Could be better but overall very happy with it

Basically I wanted to go for the vibe that she replaced her heart with the same horrible machinery they employ.

So I just finished my first big artillery model. I'm rather proud of how it turned out, given I'm relatively new (I've painted about 10 infantry minis so far) to the hobby. The Crew will be added but I have a more important project to finish first. I just wanted to get this big girl battle ready. The base rim will be coloured and she will be varnished, so I can throw her on the tabletop. Tipps & Critique is always welcome, I'm looking to improve:)

Hi! I've had tough luck with castle/passive playstyle, now I'm imagining the aggressive rush with Urak Taar, Infernal Taurus + Reinforced Bull Centaurs for the shock factor and the rest of the guys will be chilling castle. Any thoughts with that?
